HAX,HAX, HAX!!!!!! How can he have Susanoo when he doesn't even have his eyes!!!!??? What a "SCREW THE RULES" Guy!!!! Getting to be a very intense fight I must say but at the same time I'm a little bit tired of this "Madara is the perfect ninja" right now. Personal opinion mind you, but isn't it more plausible that he weasels his way out of his unfortunate circumstances through great foresight and preparation rather than ass-pull through sheer exaggerated powers that does not make sense for him to have at the very moment (Susanoo, I'm looking at you)? Really, if that's what's gonna happen then the heroes should get their fair share of convenient plot device too.

So...

Madara is literally just chilling with his arm fully off, he can give himself surgery in one second while wounded, use Susanno without his eyes and also cut off the Zetsu`s arm and use it as his own because the Zetsu is basically him.... Nice plot Armour Madara...

This chapter felt pretty short, though I know that's just because there wasn't much talking this chapter...

Gaara and Shukaku having such nice teamwork even though they haven't been together in quite some time and never really got along too well to begin with... Nice haha. Shukaku totally seemed like a Pikachu this chapter, just sayin'. I liked seeing Gaara so much, though.

"Raccoon bastard"! Haha! and "stupid fox." I look forward to seeing more hostility between Shukaku and Kurama.

Kishimoto giving an excuse as to why Bee and Gyuki have been missing... Lmao.

Oi, the bijuu seem pretty damn weak. They're supposed to be monsters! Yet they can barely hurt Madara. I know he's an Uchiha and all, but damn. Also, he doesn't have his eyes, right? How can he use Susanoo?

Ok ok Madara got the rinnegan! Dis gon' be gud. Or, as Madara himself said, "things are gonna be fun."

This fight's going to last a while...

We can finally see what that eye can grant you overall. At least to my knowledge, the eye is once considered hunger for war. So we'll see. Overall, not a bad chapter, but sadly nothing to talk about, just "Time to see what it can do." I would guess that once Bijuus are out by him alone, that would mean things will get bad for normal guys because they seem grow fear if the power of Madara continues to exceed their capacity beyond belief. So yeah, pretty much, Bijuus is their hope now.

a relatively quick chapter of Naruto this week. It was a great start to the volume, but again the ending just like the previous two keeps leaving me wondering with what's gonna happen next. I loved the raccoon comment from Kurama earlier, comes to show that some things will never change between rivals (tailed beasts in this case).

I'm really impatient to see what will be Madara's true power with the Rinnegan. 

Until now he was already untouchable, but now I wonder what he will be able to do. He seems unbeatable. 

One thing is sure, it's that he won't be defeated by a TNJ lol But it looks like there is no way he could be beaten by the fight way. He's so strong!

I loved Gaara's work in this chapter, and didn't mind at all that he got most of the action. He's so great.

I enjoyed the action, although it was easy to see the Rinnegan bit was going to happen. I still don't understand what Madara really wants or hopes to get out of all this.    

As for Madara activating the Susano'o when he had no eyes.... There have been other instances when the Susano'o technique has been used by someone without their Sharingan being activated. So apparently a user must have the Mangekyo to activate the Susano'o capability, but once it is unlocked the eyes don't necessarily have to be activated to achieve it every time.

If you don't have to use the eyes to achieve it after the ability is acquired, then maybe you don't have to have the Sharingan physically present in the body at all -- at least not if you're a very strong and experienced user such as Madara.

How Madara literally got smacked around by 8 different Bijuu and also got whacked by them all at the same time + gyuki and all he lost was an arm? and then got it right back? I was honestly really enjoying the beat down Madara was getting. I hope this fight if it has to go a certain way will be that Madara keeps getting back up and the bijuu keep smacking him down.. It'll be way too funny. Sort of like when Loki mentioned that he was a god but then Hulk literally destroyed him and said "puny god" .... That's what I want.

Honestly, looking back at Juubito, it wasn't as bad as this. It was not even so hard to fight him compared to Madara. All Juubito (Obito) needed was a TNJ and the battle against him didn't last that long, or maybe my mind plays tricks on me. 

Now, THAT is a real battle that is only focused on fight. And there, I really wonder how they will defeat him, whereas with Juubito, I already knew it would be TNJ.

It's funny how one tail beast can potentially wipe out a village, and when all nine of them attack Madara, with his eyes closed for that matter, he just loses an arm.

We were completely off-base with our presumptions; ironically the original theories proved to be accurate after all. Madara was no more than a rag-doll this chapter. He was literally being bombarded with everything that all of the bijuu, Gaara, and Naruto could unleash against him with little resistance given by him. I thought perhaps he might rely on his Mokuton abilities to overtake them, but he did little more than stage a full-frontal assault with nothing more than fisticuffs available it seemed. That's not a very practical strategy to take considering who he is up against. Madara reminded me of the young, brazen minded Naruto from early back at the beginning of the manga whose approach to battles was to charge headlong into the fray with little thought for his attack strategy or the setup of his opponent.

 

It was interesting to see how Gaara interacted Shukaku in a combat situation. Much like Naruto and Kurama, they quickly establish negotiable communications with each other, fighting together and collaborating by using their own respective jutsu in conjunction with the other to strengthen the effects. Already their teamwork seems to be refining itself naturally. A stark contrast to the harsh, oppressive influence that Shukaku had over Gaara when he was still being inhabited. That and Kishi's nod of acknowledgement to the competitive dynamics of Shukaku's relationship with Kurama were some of the highlights of this chapter.

 

So the Alliance forces left their position? That was an unexpected turn of events. Again, I thought that Madara was going to perform a similar blitzing tactic like the one he did in #560 as they tried to stand their ground. They made the right decision in falling back when they had the opportunity. It doesn't provide much in the way of an epic conflict, but strategically it makes sense. If the Kages felt it was necessary to retreat, then it's likely that Sakura followed after them as well. That assumption about Sakura not playing much of a role in these last two fights seems to be panning out. Granted, Sasuke and Sai weren't seen this chapter, but judging by the setup of this fight, it seems like the bijuu are going to be the focal point. 

 

A few interesting facts were brought to light with this chapter.

 

1. Madara has yet to regenerate from any of the damage suffered after Sasuke's impalement of his biceps. And apparently he felt it was necessary to take one of Zetsu's arms as a replacement as his original one was dismembered. Which could potentially mean that the senjutsu acquired from Hashirama doesn't automatically heal injuries as we were lead to believe (despite his wounds being clearly removed after he entered SM in his flashback with Madara). It certainly doesn't appear to regenerate limbs either.

 

2. Gaara received a new technique that is incredibly similar to Kimimaro's bone bullets. They have an amazing benefit of restricting an opponent's movements after they're shot into a person's body; even powerful enough to restrict a senjutsu user's body. Although we don't have any information on how quickly they're fired without Shukaku's Futon ninjutsu increasing their velocity. 

 

3. White Zetsu is still alive! There must be stragglers still lurking about. He seemed to be in telepathic contact with Madara since he acquired what he needed off-screen without any direct contact between the two of them. 

 

4. The other Rinnegan eye which was conspicuously absent is now with Madara. It seems Tobi didn't feel it was necessary that he implant both eyes into himself. Maybe he was reserving it for something else. Either way, we now know where the eye is and who might have been trusted with it for safekeeping. 

 

5. Susanoo is still somehow available to Madara even when he has no eyes. This may turn out to be a plot hole if Kishi doesn't address it in the future.  

 

6. Rin's delicate transplantation of the Sharingan into Kakashi's socket is a more questionable feat now. Or Madara is just that proficient at connecting nerves and retinal blood vessels to an eye with his fingers alone

Madara surviving the tail swipes isn't that extraordinary. It's the durability afforded by Sage Mode that probably saved him. What's ironic about all of this is that Jiraiya also lost an arm when he was in HM. It takes quite a bit of physical trauma to actually damage a senjutsu user.

I liked this chapter, I liked Gaara and Shukaku's teamwork and I loved Madara getting tossed around by the Biju (Why can't the rest of the fight be just that?, it be completely awesome once it got animated).

 

About Madara using Susanoo I guess KnS's theory is the best explanation.

 

Anyway I can't wait for next chapter.

WHOA, Now that is what i call a chapter! That Madara is a badass , now that's a villain, albeit activating Susano was a little odd. I mean he doesn't have the eyes for it O_O.I laughed a bit when the beasts started bashing him left and right , he looked like a beach ball . Yet again SM >all. That guy took 1000 hits and he lost just his arm seconds after he replaces it with White Zetsus's arm?? He was dead wasn't he?Can't wait for the next one!
