Topics I've Started

Blossoms in The Wind

02 January 2024 - 02:56 PM

This was originally conceived as a one shot  that I've had in the back of my mind for a very very long time, but then as I began typing again it made me realize that there was so much more  to tell here.

Synopsis: The world is recovering from the devastation of The Fourth Great Ninja War, and Naruto enters a new phase in his life with new challenges ahead as he is accompanied by his teammate Sakura Haruno, and together a they grow and become even more in-sync as team.. Perhaps even on a deeper understanding beyond friendship.

All I'm gonna say is it's worth giving a read and arguably its like one of the best things Kishi has written in terms of Naruto after a very very long time.

That being said,  hope you all are having a blast and we'll have an amazing time with this!

It's been a really long while since i've written a one shot or anything on Fanfiction  to be perfectly honest. Truth be told this is concept I've been flirting with for over the last 10 years now.  Originally, this was gonna be apart of a collaboration fic I was gonna do with one of my buddies IRL, but we never really got the project going.  Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and  stumbled upon some old notes I had for Sakura and it inspired me to push forward with this one shot fic that's centered around her character.

brief synopsis: A few days have passed since Sakura said goodbye to her dear friend Naruto Uzumaki after he failed mission to bring back Sasuke who fled to gain power from Orochimaru. A number of pressing matters has weighed in on her state of mind for quite sometime, and that might've triggered something deep within her years as a young kunoichi in the making.

ps, it's also been a long while since I've written so it might be a little rusty  :sweatdrop:

Choujin x - Sui Ishida(Tokyo Ghoul Mangaka)'s Latest

02 February 2023 - 04:46 PM

Been a long time since I've posted a new thread in the Ichiraku Ramen Bar, and this is a series I've been following since Day 1.  It's a manga series written by Sui Ishida the mangaka of, one of my all time top 5 best modern manga, Tokyo Ghoul.

Choujin X is a story about humans with supernatural powers which are often the cause of surrounding destruction. While on their way back home, Tokio and Azuma encounter a choujin who threatens to kill them and have little to no chance of survival or escape from the threat ahead of them. In order to ensure their survival to live Tokio and Azuma make a gambling decision: Become a Choujin.

I will say that if you love  Sui Ishida's writing style from Tokio Ghoul then you are definitely going to love Choujin X. There are various elements while reading each chapter that you can tell has Ishida's fingerprints all over it which is truly amazing. If you love characters like Ken Kaneki, Touka Kirishima,  Hinami Fueguchi, Amon, Shuu Tsukiyama, Renji,  Akira Mado, etc. then you are going to fall in love with the characters like  Tokio, Azuma, and especially Elly.

Currently there are 34 chapters out for this series, and one of the many benefits I love about this is that Sui Ishida is releasing the chapters based on his own schedule.  There are no higher ups telling him that a chapter has to come out on a weekly, monthly, or bi-weekly basis. This can be considered as a huge turn off from people checking out Choujin X because there is no consistency on when a chapter a will come out.

Some times he'll even release a chapter into segments like:

Chapter #?? . Part 1

Chapter #?? Part 2

Best way I'd keep my tabs on it is to check through MangaPlus as they are consistently updating their readers each time a chapter officially comes out, and that could also be said for Choujin X.  Check there anytime you get the chance and you'll see if a chapter has been updated.

So far in 2023 for the month of January  Sui Ishida release has been:

01/05/23 -  Chapter 34. 1

(5 day gap)

01/10/23  - Chapter 34. 2

( 7 day gap)

01/17/23 - Chapter 34. 3

(9 day gap)

01/26/ 23 - Chapter 34. 4

That's what I mean by the schedule can be unpredictable for when a chapter comes out. It can just happen at any point time through the day or week.

The longest I've seen Sui Ishida take a break from Choujin X is like 2 months < - that's been a consistent pattern I've noticed.

Here is where you can read all the chapters that are currently out: https://ww5.manganel...89022/chapter-1

and I will be sure to update anytime Sui Ishida releases a chapter.

Have you guys checked out Choujin X?  or is this the first time you're hearing about it?
