Would you say the CPR chapter (the number of which I have forgotten) was also like our 615?

 

(Also, how is Sasuke catching Sakura in an awkwardly drawn page count as SS's 615?)

 

No I do not count that because, that chapter showed Sakura's dedication to helping Naruto, furthermore her efforts in trying to keep Naruto alive paralleled with Karin doing the same for Sasuke.

 

 

I associate 685 with 615 because SS fans were say that Sasuke catching Sakura was proof that SS will be canon, just like NH fans were saying that Naruto holding Hinata's hand was proof that NH would be canon.

Also. looks like Sasuke's Rinnegan is actually purple. Gah, looks like we can't trust Shueisha/SJ with the colourings after all. I'm glad, though -- red looked stupid, looks way better purple. But I don't understand why they coloured it red in the first place... just because of his Sharingan? All the Rinnegans we've seen so far are purple, wth.

I hope this means Madara's jinchuuriki hair isn't pink.

How ironic. The elite shinobi who was once the participant at the front lines, whom many people admire because of his greater importance than the "heroine", is lamenting his lack of relevancy while the ordinary girl who was reassured and protected by him is playing a crucuial role in revitalising the team. It's not poetic jutstice, just an interesting, almost funny, reveral of roles.

Allowing yourself to be distracted in combat with something as minor as whether Sasuke showed appreciation for being rescued or not isn't proper for a fighter that's being regarded as the best of the best now. On the other hand, it really portrays Naruto as someone who tries to hold others to a certain moral standard and acknowledge people when they've earned it.

You know, in spite of everything he's done, I felt saddened by the end of this chapter. Obito's willingness to sacrifice himself while giving his only avenue of escape to his teammate... It has an ulterior motive, yes, but I still think that Obito is being painted in another light. He certainly tugs at more heartstrings than many of the characters who died recently, in my opinion.

 

I agree with your thoughts on Obito. I generally didn't like how Naruto would redeem some of its more unlikable villains, but I actually believe Obito's redemption was probably one of the better done redemption stories that the series has recently showcased. If only they could do the same for Sasuke now...

 

Also, I do like your interpretation of Rin's role in helping Kakashi. Intentional or not, it does add some ironic poetry to Rin's past role in Team Minato and her spiritual goal in this chapter.

Yes! Naruto is weirdly smart XD. Finally the #2 most surprising ninja will get to do something in the upcoming chapters! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! Probably Sasuke should learn some battle tactics from Naruto! Indeed the #1 most surprising ninja! *cough* *cough* Rin parallel closing in *cough*. Sasuke was a total douche XD. In a way, Naruto trolled the SS fandom by asking that question XD

Your dream has been passed down to Naruto. Gosh! I was so emotional when Obito zapped away the rod aimed at Kakashi and himself took the blow! That was the real Obito who wanted to become the Hokage! Yep and so many criticized us for saying Kishi is a kittening troll but whatever Kishi just keep ruining the NS image and he doesn't care at all . After this manga I can say I'm done with him he so kittening disappointed me and I had so much respect for him sign .

So it seems like Kakashi will get his moment from now. At first, I nearly wanted to flip the table when I thought Kakashi's useful moment was to die in place of Sasuke. Glad that wasn't the case. Kakashi standing in front of Sasuke, Obito standing in front of Naruto definitely looked liked a parallel right there.

Sakura's moment is most likely over judging by the "she tried her best" comment.

And I quite liked the cover to be honest.

What Kishi just did, it reminds me of the avatar 2008 panel in summer/fall after the series ended and basically the creators ruined zutara, it's like Just imagine if the manga staff did that.

Guess this just another shortcoming for SS again, even with a moment that could have gone somewhere, it didn't and yet like some nh fans SS fans will say it was offscreen or will be revealed later. Oh boy I don't see that happening soon with the death of obito taking center stage next chapter.

I actually really liked the chapter. I was happy with the Edo Hokages and Hagoromo making their appearance and with Naruto's comments to Sasuke- as if he was his mother scolding him, which makes sense I guess for the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight anyways. I also liked Kakashi's comment on Naruto being weirdly smart, I always thought so too, and how even during a fight Naruto thanked Sakura and Obito. 

 

When Kakashi was having his inner thoughts, I was honestly scared and freaking out (I love Kakashi!) that something might happen to him, considering where his thought process was join, but I also thought that no, Team 7 also includes Kakashi for them to be happy all together again. I might have possibly teared up when I saw what Obito did, so moving and emotional.

 

Overall, I really enjoyed this chapter. I thought that it was very good, especially with all of the different feelings that I felt, whether they were good or bad, I still consider this to be a great chapter!

Will the story about naruto vs sasuke or just another non canon material.
If kishi intend to end the manga this year, then he will make naruto vs sasuke in the movie.

Well I'm asking bc you said in the 685 thread that Naruto ends this year from where did you get this information or was that fake also ?

Oh that, well the movie will air on the 6th December. And given that it look like a time-skip movie, the serie will surely end before that. But the 17th October thing was fake though. But I never talked about Ocotber, since yesterday, I keep on saying it was fake. And you asked about October, not about what I said in chapter 685 thread.

because there was nothing romantic about the CPR itself, the NS moment in that was Sakura's devotion to helping Naruto, something that has been consistent through most of the manga.

There are still a few months before the end, and I doubt this fight will last until then. I think the fight will soon end, just a few chapters left imo. And then we can have our Sasuke issue.

I gotta admit, for a moment I really thought Kakashi was going to die. I liked how Obito sacrificed himself and that it served as a call back to how he did so in the Gaiden. I guess this symbolizes Obito's complete return to the boy he used to be.

 

It was kinda funny how Naruto asked Sasuke if he thanked Sakura and Obito, like it was a parent talking to his kid.

 

And I quite liked the cover to be honest.

 

The cover in itself is pretty cool. The setting and the art is nice, but I just can't get over the constant reminder of Sakura's feelings for Sasuke by making her unnecessarily blush. And it all makes even less sense after Kakashi's words in 675.

 

Why Kishi feels the need to show Sakura liking Sasuke this late in the story (even if it's just a random cover) is beyond me.
