Lol I dumped all of My Naruto volumes into the recycling bin and even Shonen Jump magazines, just for having Naruto in it. Then I just threw out every "Naruto thing" I owned official or not. Don't regret it one bit actually.

Besides a shirt,  some games like Clash of Ninja series (not going away as those games were better than Ultimate Ninja Storm and plus I love the CoN music) and I purchased only POP! figures of Naruto and Sakura last year, nothing else related from the franchise from me recently.

All this kitten, makes me wonder. If NS was Canon, but it start to destroy everything Naruto's Canon, like Boruto does would you still support the franchise just because our paring it is Canon?

If the events in the story play out the same way, but it was just NaruSaku they got changed.

No I wouldnt really do it because the last would stil happen, and then theres Boruto.

Granted things would be more bearable for sure, but story wise more would need to be tweaked.

Me? Hell no. If NS became canon and Boruto still existed, the series STILL would be dead to me because by then the series is overstaying it's welcome and beyond exhausting the magic it once had on my entertainment. If Naruto became Nardo still, that is a deadbeat neglectful father depite wanting a family all his lfe and actually has one child at least with the love of his life, the character would lose my respect all the same. It doesn't matter if to me if NH or NS happened, if the result was the same I'd drop it like a hot potato, no questions asked. I didn't ship NS because of any wish fullfillment on my end. I shipped NS because Naruto and Sakura were slowly and surely starting to develop a bond like real life couples in my eyes in that the caring is there, the passion and spark is there, but they both make eachother better and more mature individuals for it ultimately and understand eachother so well that they can function properly as human beings without the other. That is they can be in love and also live their lives unchained by the other. That to me has always been the best kind of relationship, and you see it with real life couples and also well writtten fictional couples. But that is besides the point. If Naruto still has that dysfunctional relationship with Sakura and his kids, no, EFF no would I still follow it. Basically, I am saying I am a fan of the story before I am a shipping fan, not the other way around like these loony Hinata cultists that talk and behave like their lives are ruined if NaruHina does not become canon. If a couple only makes the story of a fictional work in any media "trashy", then it is not worth my time. I repeat, I shipped NaruSaku because THE STORY SUPPORTED NaruSaku. It is not not because of my own headcanons, personal bias and WANTING THIS COUPLE TO BE EXACLY HOW I LIKE IT AND WANT IT TO BE FOR MY OWN EGO STROKING

I'm sure that if Narusaku had become a canon that all the crap that happened in Boruto would disappear or not be that terrible, at least the sons of Sakura and Naruto are much better than these brats of Boruto and Himawari. Just a hunch

Most likely, if not fully garuanteed. I'm just stating objectively that in the off chance the same scenario occured with NaruSaku, then the story wouldn't mean anything to me even if they ARE the canon couple. that is just me being a fan of the story before being a shipping fan as I've said. If the series at least ended on a better note with NaruSaku and never even delved into that next gen nonsense then I'd be all for it.

Seems no matter how hard I try, I just can't put Naruto or NaruSaku behind me.Even long after I've considered other works by better artists and writers as much more convincing endings, I just can't seem to move on. I'll go a few months or years without it even entering my mind, then BAM! Out of nowhere I'm fixated on Naruto again! 

 

Why? Just go away, Naruto, you've overstayed your welcome! Just let me move on to better things and die in the past. 

Tell me about it. This happens to me with my show that did things that just destroyed me and I can't move on no matter what I do.

I know I've said I'll talk about it in more detail here about it, but with this whole thing that's happening in the world and things in my country are really f'ed up and I just haven't found a time to think properly and write what I want.

That's why we can't forget narusaku. Because this pair did not happen at the end while it deserved to happen in the end even more than the NH / SS, unlike the rest of the other ships that we support outside Naruto.

It's not just because it didn't happen, it's also because of the things that did happen.

Agreed. It's the same for me in that I'm on NS's side due to being the one actually supported by the plot and character interactions, not because they're my OTP. I may get hate for saying this, but if NH was the one actually supported by the plot and character interactions (obviously it's not, lol), then I'd be supporting NH right now, and if there was an actual believable love triangle between the three (again, with good amounts of plot and character interaction support for both), then I'd be satisfied no matter who "wins" in the end, even if the pairing I preferred more "lost".

They'll realize this when they see how SP tries to take advantage of their wallets with endless stupid fillers, or silly dialogues. Really milking the pockets of people has become a habit published in the media.

For money and because they are just as demented Hinata fans as those weeb Otaku wannabes on youtube. They are, unfortunately the ones with the authority to make that stupid kitten happen

And that was part of the reason their dynamic worked so well. Sakura was always the one to get Naruto in line with his idiot and irresponsible tendencies. With Hinata she is just letting him be a damn "spoiled man-child" that thinks he can get away with anything and reasons out "Naruto-kun doesn't need me to discipline and lecture hime because he is soooooo cool and soooooo tragic!!!"

On a completely unrelated topic, I started watching One Piece a few weeks ago when I saw it was on Netflix. So far... I have some pretty mixed feelings about it. I remember it being a really big thing back when I was more into anime, but hadn't bothered with it since it was on Cartoon Network back in 2004/2005.

 

My biggest gripe with it right now is a certain ark has kind of overstayed its welcome in my opinion. They're escorting a princess back to her kingdom to prevent a civil war from breaking out, but the pacing is so freaking slow that I can only watch two to four episodes at a time before growing bored with it. There's a very noticeable pattern with the show, which is Lufy and crew go to an Island where a bad guy rules supreme. They beat up said bad guy, add a new member to their crew, set sail, and then repeat. Does the show ever become...something other than that?

 

As far as the comedy goes... it's pretty hit and miss to be honest. I find myself either not laughing at the jokes because they're so overdone, or laughing my ass off because something happens that I wasn't competently ready for. One example of me getting caught off guard was when they found a little girl stranded at sea and Lufy used his rubber band arm to get her on the ship. While doing so, he hit Zoro, who was sleeping with his arms folded over his head. and sent him flying out to sea while holding that same pose and giving Lufy a very unamused look as he flew through the air.

 

 

There are good things and bad things about the anime, but I'm not so sure I'd say it's better than Naruto was up until the Pein Fight, or even Fairy Tail, really.

 

That's just my two cents on the show so far. Not bad, but I think I've seen better.
