It's funny you say that because the first thing I told my husband once I caught up was that I felt that Law's past was pretty sad, and while all the Straw hats have sad pasts his really just tugged at my heart strings. The thing with Law is that I've really enjoyed his character since he was first introduced, and I never thought we'd get to learn more about him. Needless to say I just wanted to hug him if I could  :cry:So yes...I cried.

Law's past was one of the best done in the series. Oda has a fetish for miserable pasts XD

Oh yeah! I take it back. Brooks had the saddest past! That man sung until it was a solo and died. Then he had to wait 50 years! 50 years by himself!!!! And over time collecting the bones of his dead comrades. Brooks may be the happiest and goofiest member of the Straw Hats, but man was his past sad...

as far as worst past goes, i think anyone involved in slavery gets top billing. that's why i think nami had the worst past. being a slave at a young age is pretty messed up, especially if the owner was the one that killed your parent.

At least Nami had a place to sleep. Robin couldn't sleep without someone calling the marines to come get her. She had to become Crocodile's underling to survive the constant pursuit from the marines.

That was horrible. I do like how Oda made these villains really hate able in a way it should be. Not because they suck but how disgusting they truly are. I don't know, it's hard on who got it hard. Robin was horrible because life of running due to reward as well as seeing your hometown literally get destroyed in many ways. Like holy crap, it was the first moment that you realized that Akainu is the worst piece of crap.

So yeah, I don't know. Hard for me.

Yeah and the whole scene with the villagers attacking Doffy, his father, and brother was dark. All the things the villagers were saying about what the Celestial Dragons did to them or family remembers was insane. Kids shot 16 times, guys eyes being gouged out....I mean damn Oda.

Oda only kill in the curent timeline if the plot demand so.

Actually, the worst past belongs to the celestial dragons. They were clouded into believing they were gods. I rather be a slave than live a life of unjust ruling.
