I just finished the Gintama- Enchousen season (sooo good), and am almost caught up with the new season. To be more precise, I skipped a few episodes to start with the Shogun Assasination arc. I'll catch up with the six- seven episodes in b/w sometime this week.
I wonder how long Gintama will last after this arc...

My question is though: When the Shogun Assassination arc is over, will the anime directly lead into the next big series on? Cause I know that's how it inevitably is in the manga. I read the Kagura's Boyfriend arc, and it'll be a shame if they don't ever animate it. There's the option for OVAs of course... I wouldn't be surprised though if they just say, yeah:" Yeah, we're gonna go back to comedy now after the Assassination arc." It'll destroy the mood, but one can just rearrange the order later.

I can imagine them playing it up like "Why you confusing the audience!" and Kagura go like "They want ratings. They want to go with the next big thing and didn't think Gorilla would still be working on manga." They love to acknowledge themselves as their own fault.
Did you see Jump Festa special from them? As short it is, it was hysterical.
