15 years and 700 chapters of a manga should be more than enough time and space to have a resolution to the main characters love interest in a logical, concise, well written way.

 

Sacrificing one's personal feelings for the sake of another person is not pale at all. It's foolish to even consider..... It's demeaning to many parent-children relationships.

 

Exactly, DJ X-P And it sounds like Kishimoto-sensei is pandering to the fandom a little with NH/SS as the end game. Since you said it best... 15 years, 700 chapters... that should be MORE than enough time to resolve stuff with Naruto and Sakura, but noooooooooo--- it isn't I guess so he's gotta pander and quit and sell out or whatever.

I know how you feel, but maybe part 3 (if there really is one), other chapters and this movie will touch on unresolved issues? I mean, it's kind of a continuation right? 

I don't know. This whole thing has been one roller coaster ride after another and I am not sure how much more I can take of it. I am also afraid. Unresolved issues? Yeah we probably will, but I am afraid of more cop-out answers where NH or SS had to be made because...reasons.

I wanted NS to become canon because it fit the message so well in never giving up and hard work being rewarded. I hate bittersweet endings and tired of people playing the "because it is realistic" card all the time. It would have been so much easier just making NS canon right at the end and it wouldn't need much more explaining to understand. Here, it is like they have to literally break down the whole series to explain it and it is getting way too complicated even for a love story.

If you couldn't get the point across the first time around, then maybe Kishimoto needs to go back and learn writing practices again or at least the editors need to go back and learn the basics. I may sound pretentious here, but I have taken writing classes and learned many writing tricks. Tricking the reader in this way is not ethical as a writer. You shouldn't make your readers feel stupid because you want a cheap surprise. Even in movies and TV shows get called out for this. There is one thing to throw a clever twist, but another to make your audience feel stupid which is just bad joojoo.

Alot of peple try playing with these explanations to me, but how many of them can I say could it have been easily reversed? What was so wrong about NaruSaku getting together? What is wrong with Hinata not getting Naruto? They said so themselves "You don't always get what you want." So there is no reason why Hinata should have gotten Naruto, but they act like it was mandatory. Then I get this whole well "Bolt and Sarada is basically NS, so you should be happy." I am like, "but couldn't you do the same with NS's kid and HinataXWhoever's kid too?" I bet they wouldn't have accepted that either.

I think that's the biggest thing that makes me angry. They act like NH and SS was unavoidable and it HAD to end this way when really it wasn't. The fact that they HAVE to do this movie to explain it all and some of it is just garbage or asspulled facts just means how NS should have happened and how much better it would have been. How many NH and SS truly realize that?

And this is the reason why I will never join a pairing fandom ever again. When they start throwing logic out the window because of their pure obsessions, then perhaps people are doing things for the wrong reasons.

I respect the fact that he tried, and he's certainly entitled to do it how he saw fit and based on his own interpretations. It certainly takes a lot of courage to do that.

 

With that being said, he is not exempt from criticism with how he handled the interpretation of one's feelings. Especially when something you create becomes mainstream and is read by people worldwide.

Pulling flashbacks that never existed in the manga is so wrong! Kish has always showed flashbacks and then this comes out of nowhere. The scarf.

If NS is more popular then what is the reason for nh and SS?

Okay, I am going to be honest....if NS some how...SOME HOW...manages to be canon in the end, I still would not find this ending...appealing. Like I said, it is not really about pairings choice, but rather...the ending was just bad...even if my OTP or whatever happens...it all feels bad. It feels weird.

yes, ending does suck indeed, but if something good comes out of it such as NS, it will be easier for people to stomach this ending...slowly but surely instead of it leaving a scar

It does seem very odd for Kishi to drawn Salada the way he did. He had to have known people would immediately think of Karin, not Sakura. Especially considering the inclusion of glasses.
