Now for Sakura in this chapter I can't express how disappointed I was. When the one page was showing shots of her looking at Sasuke you were expecting her to say something and  the last panel of her crying but also having a angry look on her face made you think she was finally going to lay into Sasuke for all the kitten he has said and show she has changed from where she was in part one. Instead she simply continues to cry and simply reenacts her part one confession begging him to stay and hoping her love for him would be enough. It crushed any character development and considering the stage in the manga there is no excause for that. There is simply not enough time left in the manga for her to redeem herself anymore. This late in the game she should at least have been able to stand up for herself and called Sasuke out for all that he has done.  

 

She does not seem to understand Sasuke does not care about small scale thing like one girls love. He believes the whole world is wrong and wants to change it is his extreme but own way and she somehow thinks that her love he has never cared about can change it. Why doesn't she call him out for how stupid of an idea that is.

James@ yes that's why I believe the bench scene will be revisited. Catsi and myself have been saying that theory for a very long time especially when Kishi has been doing a lot revisiting from part 1 in this arc.

Yeah maybe it would have been better for her to die in the Sasori fight her epic moment.

The only one who needs to die is Sasuke and no one else  bc there is multiple times when everyone has shined when he isn't around even the story has been looking better when he wasn't touched upon bring him back and all goes kaboooom! its simple as that really .

Not to play devil's advocate, but Sasuke had  been nice to Sakura at times in pt1. I wouldn't say it was delusional for her to think the old Sasuke had a small 'soft spot' for her from her perspective. It's delusional to ask THIS Sasuke, however, because he's a massive sociopath with brother issues, lol.

 

(I'm speaking of when he noticed Sakura was sad before the exams and tells her she's the most advanced on their team with genjutsu 'know how', or when he woke up and asked who hurt her and flipped out on the sound nin under the curse seal. The other examples are all when she's knocked out)

Oh true I still don't think that Kishi can fix this nor will he. As you said he cares for Sasuke only.

I am not comparing them, but a sin is a sin. If you say that being obsessive is bad, then every person who has an obsession over something is bad. You can't excuse one and not the other. Why are you comparing them?

Naruto's case is even WORSE than Sakura's is and both characters have willingly given up on life itself outside of it and refuse to move on unless Sasuke it dealt with. In fact, in a way Naruto brought Sakura back in despite her wanting to let go anyway. So I could argue that again this is Naruto's fault because he wouldn't let go.

This is even more evident when have Naruto constantly say "How can I be Hokage and confess my feelings when I can't even keep my promises or save my best friend?" Really, Naruto? Naruto has literally taken beatings into a bloody mess for this guy that he had to be treated by Sai.

The ONLY people who have been reasonable and actually had the guts to question anything has been Gaara, Sai, and Shikamaru.

Answer this question for me, how would you feel if I told you that Sakura actually wanted to give up on Sasuke a long time ago, but Naruto pushed her into loving him again because he wouldn't let go of Sasuke? Naruto has never let anyone make their own choices anymore.

I cant assure but its a possibility. Seriously after this chapter i have no problem if her character is gone forever. Kishi has destroyed her for me i cant give more then a kitten about her now.

I wouldn't mind what Sakura said in the chapter if SS actually HAD development. Funny thing is there is NO development at all. I can never understand why she likes him. At least Naruto respects Hinata, but Sasuke treats Sakura like kitten... Oh well, maybe her feelings will completely change in the Naruto vs Sasuke fight. I will still pray for NaruSaku.

The worst part about this is this was probably Sakura's last chance to shine and show any development and Kishimoto ends it with the lowest of lows. She was knocked out so she would not interfere with the final bromantic fight. By the time she wakes up the final fight will be over or she won't be able to make it there before it is over. Then everyone will wake up from Infinite Tsukyomi and that's probably it for the manga. She can't show any character development any more. Maybe Naruto does or doesn't confess but either way she can't be made to look good from it. I think I am also disappointed since in the fight with Kaguya I was hoping she could show she is more the just a Tsunade clone. I wanted her to ether show her intelligence by coming up with a plan or showing an ability or technique that Tsunade never used. Instead she is a chakra battery and does a punch and that's it. My disappointment is really a result of too high expectations i suppose of Sakura showing herself being a real heroine. She does not even need to end up with Naruto.
