I kinda ship Sabo with Koala too, but if there will be any pairings becoming canon, Oda will make it happen at the last minute. He isn't a big fan of romance it seems, and if he wants to make some characters end up together like Zoro with Tashigi, Luffy with Nami, or Sabo with Koala, then it will all be at the end with just a little bit of tension to be more than friends (or enemies in Zoro x Tashigi's case) somewhere in the anime.

Actually I want to take back part of what I said. Oda doesn't hate romance, but he doesn't approve of it taking up panels in adventure/action animes. I say this because I know Oda is really enjoying Ore Monogatari.

Put it this way, he won't display romantic or even innuendo romantic in his work. Just good friendship and if he wants pairing, it will happen in th end. It won't be like "I love you!!!" rather maybe something like "stay with to explore the world forever!!!" Something that you can tell it's their way of saying love.

Oda is smart when he decide not to incorporate romance in his story.
Because romance doesn't take too long to make resolution unless you want to drag it out. And usually it will destroy some chemistry.
Doesn't mean an author shouldn't make romance. It just, you must prepare or else naruto.

So I caught up from where I was behind with the manga today thanks to Foolish Youngling giving me that finally push that I needed :3 I gotta say it was a long arc with like a billion things going on (even though that always tends to happen) but overall I liked it 
I gotta say I wasnt expecting certain people to have sudden flashes of their pasts right before they were taken out, like Senor Pink, who's flashback broke my heart, and Baby 5's. Overall it was a pretty awesome arc, I just want the crew to get back together!!
