I'm thinking back to all those SasuSaku fans making theories toward me about how Sakura and Sasuke's forehead issues will mesh one day . I denied them saying Naruto will probably be the one to relate back to Sakura's forehead because of chapter 3 .

Uggggggggghhhhhh I'm so impatient. I can't do anything without refreshing this forum every 5 minutes. I just reread 698 and now I'm even more impatient. This is dumb. I wasn't nearly this bad when the last chapter of fma came out... Or when avatar the last air Bender ended... Though I guess I've invested way more years into this...

At this point idc whether he pokes her forehead or not,now all i want to see is NS happen in the epilogue.If he does poke her forehead it will be OOC asspull but its only for closure and sisterly concern so idc about it.

yes but why the picture of sakura? Why not just use one of itachi and sasuke?

It is certainly confusing as I can't predict other person's thought pattern 100%, but it could be an attempt to show that the famous gesture was transfered into another context, outside of the brotherly diad of Itachi and Sasuke. To show that another person has been included, that the gesture lived on. Otherwise it would look too much like a flashback.There are no pictures of Sasuke poking Naruto, so Sakura and Itachi can be the closest approximation.

To show that the gesture lives on - this is also one of the reasons I think it is Naruto. The gesture was a recurring thing, it was the symbol of a bond. I don't see such gesture as more than a one time thing with Sakura. And I do believe that the gesture was the symbol of brotherhood in a way. Itachi was Sasuke's most important person and he just compared Naruto with Itachi in the previous chapter. Sasuke does think of Naruto as his brother. But Sakura might be his "family", but not really a sister (we have no reason to think that), just "family".

Seeing the level of ambiguity of spoilers....I really won't give a hint like this if its Sasuke poking Sakura. And even if he does poke her forehead, big deal? One forehead poke won't erase 3 murder attempts and not caring about her life thing.....

So... we may get another SS parallel. The Itachi|Sasuke and Sasuke|Sakura parallel. Remember... that Itachi used some heavy genjutsu on his brother. Sasuke did the same to Sakura. Aaaaand the famous poke gesture is connected to that. Although I don't like this kind of closure (because it will probably be blown out of its context, and the forehead theme was an NS thing in the beginning), it actually makes sense according to Kishimoto's logic of bonds. In other words, be prepared.

Ah, the Sakura forehead complex. Maybe that is how Kishimoto wants to show us that Sakura managed to get Sasuke's acknowledgement. Then this scene will be the lead which closes the coffin with SS romance in it.

Closure is good for Sakura. Ever since the beginning, she's always stated how she's weaker than the other two, how she's always watching them from behind. 

I think Naruto and Kakashi already acknowledges her. Now, if Sasuke apologizes and acknowledges her too, she would have completed her full circle.

I can understand the reasons pretty well.....but if Sakura's feelings for Naruto are so fragile that they backtrack as soon as she gets what she wants.....Naruto is really better off without her. If Sakura forgets what Sasuke has done to her just by a gentle forehead poke....and again instantly loves him...Naruto is better without her. Even if a near death scenario is not enough for Sakura to realise her feelings for Naruto.....then she never did love him to begin with nor did she have unrecognized feelings for him.

Now......since the story and the characters contradict all of my claims....I don't see a reason as to why we should be worried since they clearly point at NS.

Reasoning is good, but I just don't see it. All things considered, kill me, but Sakura doesn't seem to be important enough as a character to get such a HUGE gesture attached to her image.
