I wonder thou. She said she loves him, reminded him of becoming a hero. But doesn't she also know him as Naruto the human being not just the hero. To be honest the confession thing feels like a total mess to me, that can only be fixed in the future with new reveals.

Dunno exactly. I really have to find the raws and ask my friend that translated it for me every single detail like this one. To clear it up once and for all.

I checked out the confession episode once again, and now I see it this way:

Sakura: Naruto, we both had remaining issues with Sasuke but let's just forget about it, I already did. Let's just skip to the happy ending and throw Sasuke aside.

Naruto: Sakura, Sasuke is our friend we can't just put him aside, and you won't be completely happy with me until you can face your issues with Sasuke. Just like I can't become Hokage if I can't at least help him.

Sakura: But that means you'll be in danger. It's not worth it that way, dammit! Let's just try and force our happiness already.

Naruto: But it won't be true happiness that way. We can both achieve the happiness that you're proposing, but if we just discard Sasuke it won't happen.

Will try to do it, actually. I am really pissed at the majority of people sh**ting on Sakura's love for Naruto. WTF?! I mean, really... We, NS fans admit that she still has feelings for Sasuke, even though they're lingering feelings, but doesn't matter, we admit them, yet, the whole other fandom kittens on her love for Naruto. WTF? I mean, really... They bashed her in part one because she didn't care about Naruto nor returned his feelings yet, when she does, they still don't like it. Wtf, get serious people, will ya?!
I definitely have to find time for that.
As for the autumn skies metaphor in the confession... I wonder how many people observed the subtext there and in road to ninja... The flowers of Sasuke's rose start wilting and falling away and that thing with the autumn skies. As we all know, in the autumn, the leaves wilt and fall away. So that's another thing that Kishi introduces as a subtext to the confession yet, people don't notice it... Meh, anwyay.

Yes I know, but it seems that the close Kishi used means something else. Close as in distance, not intimacy, as in feelings.
I guess that's what that person meant.

Bwuahahah, finally asked my friend aaaand this is what Kishi says:

Sakura feels close to Naruto, but she says she loves Sasuke after all. After that she doesn't really have any kind words for Naruto, I think... I can't remember.

I know about that, it's just that it seems Kishi used close as in distance, not feelings. Or that's what the respective person says.
That I will double-check with my friend but I need the raws for her confession.

No actually, she also said that naruto encouraged her and hes always been by her side, and after naruto said shes lying to herself, she explains to him and defends herself and her feelings, telling naruto that hes putting himself in danger and hes the jinjuriki and that he should worry about himself for once and ofcoarse shed come all this way.

Considering everything I told you stating the facts, sakuras confession wasnt a mess, in fact it was really artistic and deep, you just have to know what your reading and understand whats going on in order to understand the meaning behind her intentions, love, selflessness, care etc.

Hope you changed your perspective about the confession now tjat I made it as clear as A B C.

Theres one thing that smells fishy about those translations, is that is says that sakura says she loves sasuke, she never said that...she knly said she loves naruto, she never said she loves sasuke.

Also how could kishi not remember his own story? Those translations are sooo off..

She told about her feelings for him, she was still in love with Sasuke but she hasnt found how to name those feelings she does have for Naruto.
She cant say she loves Naruto while does not resolve this stuff with Sasuke

I agree with Dαrkrєrsŧ on this.

The "lie" aspect of Sakura's confession was in her saying she didn't care about Sasuke anymore, and that in terms of her romantic feelings she had fully switched from Sasuke to Naruto. Because she really hadn't switched. Maybe she wanted it to be true, or believed she could make it true by saying it and committing to Naruto in a public way, but it wasn't true.

The thoughts we were shown when she hesitated to kill Sasuke, and later when Lover Nin said whoever she was in love with must be a great guy and she thought of Sasuke, prove that Naruto was right to call her out. She does still have feelings for Sasuke. But it's A LOT more complicated than that. Sakura's feelings for Naruto are just as strong if not stronger, and they mean more. I covered all of this recently in this post.

It's just my opinion, but I think NS fans should take care when debating Sakura's confession. Denying or downplaying Sakura's lingering feelings for Sasuke introduces an unnecessary flaw in the NS argument. Admitting that Sakura is still confused doesn't change the strength or, IMO, the inevitability of NS, and demonstrates a rational view of the way things stand. Trying to argue that Sakura is already 100% in love with Naruto and aware of it, and that there was no untruthful aspect of her confession, only hurts the integrity of the NS argument as a whole.

The key elements of Sakura's confession that point to NS are: (1) Naruto's reaction to her initial words of love prove his feelings for Sakura; (2) despite her confusion Sakura chose Naruto over Sasuke; (3) thanks to Sai, Naruto was made aware of the fact that Sakura does love him -- enough that she would deprive them both of Sasuke in order to preserve Naruto's well being.

The full-on romance part -- when the last of Sakura's feelings for Sasuke are gone and she sees Naruto as her true love -- is not likely to happen until the very end.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as well... I just really want to check it, double check-it and if possible triple check-it.

@KNS the point of my debate was to tell people that she loves Naruto as well. What I was saying is that basically she has feelings for both of them, but, as always, when it comes to Naruto, they're downplayed.

Sure. Let us know what you got. I don't want to sound confident, but I feel positive about it. I just check on the usage of the other word and nothing comes to love, only good friend. Again, if it was that, then that means he's friendzoned, Obito would probably laugh at Kakashi for this.

I agree with you all the way, also if you misunderstood my post I wasnt denying any lingering feelings for sasuke, I meant to say that sakura no longer loves sasuke romantically, she...well I dunno what she feels for him...its complicsted but definitely not love, she already loves naruto, but narutos still not there yet, I believe there'll be something major thatll trigger something between the pair.

Afterwards, I saw on someone's Tumblr post a photo edit having that particular picture with Minato and then, trink! I remembered with whom he looked like.
And then, from that second part, I knew from a SK/NS fan on Tumblr how she spoke of Kishi's intentions in the manga when it comes to certain things and she was comparing the two scenes with Minato and Kushina and Sakura and Naruto pointing how similar both Minato and Sakura were drawn when it came to their love interest. More or less in Sakura's case, of course.
At first when I saw it, I went meh... just a small one but with the time I saw that there's more to it. And thinking about the all-time argument of NH that Minato is like Hinata, voila, I came up with this idea.

Aha so that's how you caught sight of it. And right now it's very clear that many elements that we see parallel with their relationship is hovering and will crash into the story. There's Obi/Rin thou it seems it also branches up into the cycle of hatred, die for the village and what a shinobi is, Minato's coming and we will see if Sakura knows of Naruto's parents, Tsunade's fate is uncertain.

No one. Lol. Ok there's two words of near, right? First one is in the interview and the second one is the one the guy suggested that if it's about feelings, Kishi should have said this. If Kishi used the second word, it would have been a friendzoned because that word is used as a friendly term, not beyond that. Limit is best friend.

Hey, Chatte, about the first word, it's not just used as distance like "Near the store" and such. I just found out now and seems like I probably did hit the bullseye.
