This chapter does not confirm Sasuke being redeemed. He still has no remorse for his past crimes and he wants to be Hokage for the wrong reasons.
I think Sasuke might start another war after this war is over.
Even the team 7 shot states this and when Naruto looks at sakura and he's at the background, giving that look like he doesnt care, and on the shot when his face he's not smilling like Naruto and Sakura.

I think that's just Sasuke's personality. He was always like that in part 1.

But not to this point he seems that he doesnt really care about team 7 at all.
Just to remind that team 7 and the rest of k11 and even his past wasnt bought up on his supposed "redemption".

It does seem suspusious. I had a thought that he just wanted to become Hokage to ruin the villiage in some way.

He'll never actually become Hokage of course, Kishi just gave Naruto and Sasuke a reason to fight. They'll fight on behalf of their ideals on how the new shinobi system shall be, and it will be deadly.
yeah, I agree. I don't think he properly loves the villiage like Naruto.

Do you believe that his position of leadership would equal or perhaps even surpass the horrendous nightmare of a village that Kirigakure became during Yagura's (Tobi's) reign?
Just a minor question relating to Tobi and Yagura. Was it ever fully explained as to how and why Tobi was able to manipulate Yagura, a jinchuuriki, into doing his bidding whilst remaining undetected for years?

Exaclty, this is why I think that Sasuke will take one more moral side swing. He already said that he doesn't care about what the others vote for hokage is. Just like Madara who Sasuke parallels and after Hashirama was chosen as the crowd favorite, Madara who seemed to put aside evil, turned evil again.

I would say at minimum it would be on par. As far as Tobi's reign. I'm not sure they could compare because it was not really elaborated on. I feel though, Sasuke being arrogant and condescending to his people would be directly projected on Konoha. Its the type of person that Sasuke is. I highly doubt that would change if he were to obtain the title Hokage ( Not happening ). He will be lucky if the rest of the villages do not demand his head after the war.

Ok. It's only a troll if you let yourself believe a character's feelings can change off-paneled. You must wait for them to say it or even talk about it one last time. Pretty much, NH got what some if not most NS fans got from 540, thinking he/she is over with his/her old love interest. That said here's a problem that 631 got over 540.
First of all, 540 is not needed if we already acknowledged that she loves Sasuke. So why is it needed? Because there's a chance of a follow-up to it. 540 while it may seem bad for many, in reality, this could backfire heavily as well. Sakura thought of him in a very negative light, which is also the first time being questioned if her love is really good or not, and it's not. Not to mention this is after she still have hope for Team 7 happy ending. While she can be hopeful on that, her love is a different story and she knows that it's not really good as she just may realized it. So this needs a follow-up and left unanswered.
Now, we look at 631. First off, Sakura was the one who Minato asked if she's Naruto's girlfriend, yet Naruto replied it for her. This confirms his feelings for her and if it didn't, then the last page really did. What's the problem? There's no follow-up because that WAS the follow-up. Naruto sees his love aspect positive, nothing like how Sakura thought of Sasuke. So it's sealed by Minato as well as Naruto. To make matter worse, Naruto reconfirmed his feelings AFTER Hinata has done many things that she wished and Sakura is getting hers with a bonus of the fact Team 7 is back. Lastly, this volume is favoring more to Naruto, so he will come out at the very top when it's all over, and if you remember Pain Arc ending, well you get the picture. ;)
So yes, 540 needs a follow-up to see if there's anything to go with that. That said NS is growing too strong since 629 and it will only go up. The last question is if this is the end of NS moments in this volume only? We shall see.

Every arc that ends with them together, Sakura feelings for Naruto get stronger, and as I noticed it is a linear progress.
It went from Acknowledgment, friendship, before progressing even further. To offer to feed him, comforting him after Jiraiya's death, crying for him to show up after Pain had destroyed the village, hugging him in front of everyone, realizing what was already in her face...that he just didn't have a crush on her...he clearly loved her, she wanting to give up her happiness so that they could be together [this is real love]...before he refused to saying he rather not give up her happiness so he could be happy. [the correct response]. If you noticed the linear progression it goes from Crush, love, hug, and then confession...fellow NS'ers what usually comes after mutual confessions?

Well, I thought someone would answer by now... XD
Anyway, after mutual confessions, the time for the two people to become a couple should be the next logical step (usually sealed with a kiss or with a mutual agreement. I saw the former in Love Hina and the latter in a series called (I''s)). If the linear progression is what Kishi has in mind, then I believe that Naruto and Sakura will eventually discuss their feelings for one another (which honestly, it would make any NS fan happy). Then again, I don't wish to jump to conclusions just yet. I prefer to let Kishi surprise me, if I can say it like that. :)
Gotta say, the bolded part is confusing me a bit here. Maybe is because I'm sleepy or something. Mind elaborating on this one (maybe sending me a PM to explain to me which events are you referring to with these words)?

Haha... I'm more concerned that once again NS (a fictional pairing from a fictional universe) is the thing I care the most in real life... It's kinda disturbing. I blame you, Kishi. 
Guys i found this interesting post about the minato in pain arc and the edo minato. some people are bringing up good points about this issue.
This could be the answer for it.
