I'm hoping that Kishimoto will show more of Sakura's skills so there won't be any more reasons to say that Sakura sucks compared to Hinata. That's just... so frustrating.

I can't believe people still arguing about who is the stronger on NF and Tumblr... I mean Sakura is sannin level now

And Hinata... Well she is at Neji level in part 1 I guess. And i dont think Neji could beat any of the 3 sannins back then  :wot:

Sakura is nearly sannin level. But if we're talking about the sannin level of young Tsunade, then your statement is fully true.

Hinata... even if she is jounin level now, I can't imagine her winning. Only if Sakura is out chakra.

Tauriel,

cough... NaruSasu... cough... shippers. She wasn't useless even in the first part. No, these people just hate her because she is common (her bad traits are commonly found in girls and women who actually hate her) and yet... she became anything but common (and this makes another good reason to hate her). That is my personal opinion.

Most people hate Sakura only because she's in the way of their ship. Others because she's a weak and useless character... Idk how can they still call her weak after all the development she went through? Those people are probably some kind of anti-feminists or something...

I think people say she is useless because of part 1... And I have to admit, she was pretty much useless. In fact, every girl was.

Those people dosent seem to accept the fact that Sakura as grown and she is one of the stronger shinobi now. They still have that image of useless Sakura in part 1.

I agree. As if her character was incapable of becoming even more bland she manages to outperform her old self by attributing her success only to Naruto without offering any acknowledgement to her companions or relatives, one of which had recently died in an effort to protect her. Although there have been several interesting theories suggested in the chapter 633 discussion arguing that the scene is intended to help her with moving past her one-sided affections for Naruto.

If that truly is the case, then the process of her finally getting to that point is truly excruciating to bear for me.

This chapter proved the parallel to the Sannin as most of us all know. No NaruHina fan can prove that wrong in any way shape or form. Naruto has surpassed Jiraiya in every way possible, except that Jiraiya never told Tsunade how he felt for her. So I have the feeling that after all the war is done and the battle with Sasuke is done, we'll see Naruto confess to Sakura. I love how many NaruHina fans ( that I talk to) think that after all this battle and stuff is over, that Naruto will come running to Hinatas arms. I mean like he told Sai, how can he tell someone he loves if he can't even bring a friend back, so if Sasukes back then he should be able to tell Sakura. It would be disappointing to see Kishi not show a confession to Sakura after all this build up :/

Welp, Sakura got the Yin seal and can use the summoning jutsu for (possibly) the offspring of Katsuyu. She has been compared to Tsunade by many elite ninja, including the God of Ninja Hashirama himself, who even suggested that she would surpass/has surpassed her sensei. She also recently healed much of the ninja alliance as well as Naruto himself back to 100% health. All with half of her chakra. In addition, she did not leave Naruto's side when Sasuke arrived (like many thought she would). In fact, Sakura was one of the ones who questioned his being there and remained cautious.

And of course, after all this, people still call her "useless", "cocky", "weak", etc. Unfortunately, no matter what Kishi gives her, haters are gonna hate.  The hate is going to reach astronomical proportions if NaruSaku becomes the canon pairing, which at the moment is a definite possibility considering Naruto called her his girlfriend to not only his father but the entire alliance in earshot.

Also, I don't think NaruHina can be counted out of the game yet. It looks like the "girlfriend" comment did not phase Hinata one bit, at least from my POV (if she even heard it). NH can only be considered dead when Naruto directly friend-zones her or shows affection for Sakura so extremely that there is no hope for anyone else (ie. a kiss).

...Although you would think that calling her your girlfriend would be both friend-zoning (for Hinata) and very affectionate.  :fan:

Bolded: How can Kishi undo all these paralells and development to a degree that NH could be done to a satisfying standard?

The easiest answer is trolling.. he destroys Sakura and regresses her to part 1 and this time Sasuke goes super OOC and accepts thus SS...

He the destroys Naruto by having him drop all his feelings for Sakura, and declares he loves Hinata because... (insert reason)

Now my question is: Can NH be done reasonably??? my honest answer is no, not a chance.

The thing is i believe Hinata fans don't want Hinata to change or be forced to grow up. They will always want Hinata to be the shy, submissive girl rather then have her bloom and become a great leader with confidence and most importantly free from believeing she has to prove herself to Naruto..

Cockblocked Hinata.

In all seriousness, many people hate on her because she gets in the way of their ship. Others can't seem to let go of the fact that this isn't Part 1 Sakura anymore; she is now a very powerful and recognized medic and kunoichi. Some people just don't like her/tsundere characters, and that's fine.

But in the end I think it's mainly the whole NaruSaku vs. NaruHina thing that gets the Western audience fired up about Sakura.

Bolded: How can Kishi undo all these paralells and development to a degree that NH could be done to a satisfying standard?

Good question. From a NaruHina standpoint, I would say that Naruto might realize that she has been rooting for him the entire time and he might reciprocate some romantic feelings as a result. I think many people feel that she "deserves" Naruto; she works so hard for his sake and it would be heartbreaking if he chose someone else (Sakura). Also, we didn't have a re-confirmation that Naruto was still in love with Sakura until two chapters ago, so many NaruHina supporters were probably feeling very confident after 615 (just like we are now) and Kishi essentially allowed their ship to go full-on Titanic in 631.

I gave up on those people looong ago. NO logic, NO facts, NO arguments can change their way of thinking...  Although I must admit that some of anti-NS (therefore a few Sakura haters) are not that bad... at least they know what common sense is.

Bolded: This is the core of their arguments and support for NH. It's all about what Hinata deserves. The key there is Hinata, no Naruto, just Hinata. But little did they know that what Hinata deserves is something Naruto would not want.

Because of her character portrayal they believe the shy, subbmissive girl should get what she wants because they sympothize with her and to some extent pity her.

They would rather her stay in this quite frankly, pitiful mindset of tunnel visioning Naruo rather then her growing up and becoming an indipendant.

I think most NaruHina fans think that Naruto deserves Hinata as well, at least over Sakura. Like you said, Hinata is the shy girl who loves Naruto; she would balance him out and has always loved him. They don't want Sakura to be with him because she has always loved Sasuke and treated Naruto like dirt early on in the series. This goes back to how I mentioned that many people can't seem to move on from the fact that Sakura is COMPLETELY different compared to how she was in Part 1.

Agreed. I also think much of the western audience prefers Hinata to Sakura because the shy, weaker girl is a heavy archetype in that culture. The girl starts out shy and weak and over time, with the help of her love interest, grows stronger and more confident. On the other hand, tsunderes are not as popular in the west for that same reason: They are cold and mean, and typically in western culture it's the kind and quiet girl that wins out in the end. Plus, I think many more western anime fans can relate to Hinata (shy, quieter, not as confident, etc) than they can to Sakura (louder, more confident, etc) so they tend to cheer for Hinata.

You know, if there's a repeat of Pain Arc ending, like Hinata smiling, then just give up entirely. Look, some are not meant to be. It's just the way it is.

You're talking about the Cinderella archetype when a humble girl gets everything after tons of hard work. I hate that fairy tail. Nevertheless, oriantal societies prefer the submissive type too, marriage-wise. Actually, in Europe (including Russia) most women are neither quiet nor shy. And men just deal with that or fantasize about submissive dolls. Well, those boys have nothing in common with Naruto.

Cinderella! I knew there was a name for it.  :P  Thanks.

I think the whole fantasizing aspect has to do with the Hinata love as well. A lot of guys, many anime fans in particular, would prefer a more submissive, shy girl over a loud and more in-your-face one like Sakura. Therefore, they cheer for Hinata. On the other hand, many NaruSaku fans look at the shipping situation from Naruto's perspective rather than their own: They know that Naruto has feelings for Sakura and that she might be developing feelings for him, rather than taking it in from a personal, "what would I want" POV.

I view Hinata as the timid girl in the corner(if you leave Naruto out of this), she would fit in the 1800's. I don't really like that, because I hate the discrimination of that time.

Sakura is the opposite, she doesn't take kitten. She would say "I don't belong in the kitchen :fan: !"

Really excited to see what other power-ups Sakura's gonna get. Hopefully this power-up or the next one will put a rest to the ridiculous debate of Hinata being on par and/or being stronger than Sakura. Lol pure madness.
