Hinata proved she cared about Neji 3 times in this war. Once when she saved him, second when she tried to fix him up and third when he died. She also wanted to give Shino a break so she could take his place.

That's something we both can agree on. Sakura has been apparently reduced to a side character. Kishi gave all of us Sakura fans the big middle finger in 615. It's no wonder her character is more popular than Sakura. Just thinking about it makes me want to barf.

Yeah I did actually. I actually did because maybe I wanted something more than just eye-candy fangirl who probably builds Naruto dolls in her closest made from chewing gum and cut hair a la Helga.
BTW, fixed. No pairing fodder development is "good" in Shounens. Only harems does it work.
People still believe NH being canon is good writing?

It may be one panel, but one thing I think is that it was completely pointless, why did we the readers need to know she thinks his hand is warm? We already know she only thinks of naruto so it was completely pointless, her development would be better without that single panel because it was NOT needed.

I kinda feel bad for the people who expect something amazing from Sakura in this fight...

Only on tuesdays. Every other day she spents sniffing the underwear she has stolen from Naruto's drawer./sarcasm.
This Hinata of yours doesn't even exist. You literally have to invent her to hate her.

I don't think she doesn't care about anyone else than him. But when Naruto's there, everything else is blank. Unless her cousin gets stabbed with two giant toothpicks.

I was once a HUGE Hinata fan. Loved her more than most other characters, except Gaara, Neji and Lee. It wasn't until I got deeper into the story that my love for her began to deplete because of how her character is in the series. I'm disgusted with her because she's so single-minded all of a sudden. I know she's not like Sakura --- she's not trying to get over her childhood crush and that's what disturbs me.
True, Naruto's never done anything wrong to her to make her stop liking him but the only reason why I think it's great if she did get over him is because of how much more powerful she would seem. Sakura too. If they get over their childhood crushes, they can be the image of female power in that they struggled with love like a LOT of us girls have but realized that their true strength lies in themselves. It's one thing to love a guy, but Hinata's love for Naruto comes off more as admiration that she's confusing with love and Sakura's is like infactuation and girlish dreams - so much to the point that she's convinced herself she's in love - that's what I believe. I believe Hinata admires Naruto and wants to be like him - she doesn't need to be with him and I just wish she could see that. I believe Sakura's convinced herself that she's in love with Sasuke - why? Not sure yet but it seems this way. It seems like she's assuming she's in love with him and to make matters worse, every time she considers her feelings for Naruto, it's like he's convinced HIMSELF that she loves Sasuke and as a result, Sakura's assuming the same.
I feel like Hinata and Sakura haven't really had a choice in here. Strange yes, and it probably doesn't make much sense either but that's just it - it doesn't make sense. Hinata at this point (not because I'm Pro-NS) should be satisfied with Naruto for who he is and realize that he's more than just a proud failure, he's a human being and he struggles, he feels, he dreams, he learns, he grows and he exists JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. If she could do this then I'm sure she would know that all he needs is her friendship - not her romance. She's a Hyuuga, a strong Hyuuga who's been through a lot and learned from him but she isn't the only one he's changed. As soon as she realizes this she should stand by him as a friend nothing more.
As for Sakura, I feel like the sooner she realizes that she has a voice, a chance, strength and experience to add to improve herself - the happier she'll be and the sooner she'll be able to accept having felt strongly for Sasuke but realize that she and Naruto are BOTH hungry to get their teammate back - not for romance - but for love. Because they love him and care for him. The sooner Sakura decides to stop fighting behind Naruto or before him and start fighting WITH him (much like she said she would in 573 - so I'm hoping) she'll be stronger - not just for NS - but for herself. For her to realize she's strong would be amazing.
I also hope that Sakura will see that SHE does have feelings for Naruto and also that SHE needs to convince Naruto that she has feelings for him. Last time, things didn't go too well but she still has a chance.
Sorry for the LAP but just wanted to put that out there....
Simply put, I'm not angry with Hinata for being a threat to NS. I'm angry with Hinata for being a threat to herself. In the event that NS happens, what will Hinata do with herself? If she decides to be Naruto's friend - she will flourish. If she continues to pursue him - she's just a pairing fodder...

I know right? Maybe I'll pass a kidney stone next time. At least it will have more depth in personality.

It is hard to believe that you would have been criticizing Naruto if he had taken a look at Sakura in this chapter and thought about how cute Sakura looked.
No because Naruto is very WELL AWARE that he's in the middle of a war to determine the fate of the world and that he's against two of the strongest ninjas ever along with the strongest Bijuu that it took the sage of the six paths to separate its power into the nine Bijju, (yeah it's that strong). Naruto looking at Sakura and saying she's cute will be completely OC of him and I will lose my respect for him if he does that even if I'm a NS fan. It's the same thing with Sakura she's not going to look at Naruto in the middle of a war that any of the can die and think he's cute, or even thinking about Sasuke for the matter because that will be OC of her.
Hinata is a different case because her entire character is orbiting around planet Naruto. And the only thing she has shown in the entire manga is her love for him. She won't think Naruto's cute in the middle of a war because it will be OC of her too, but trust me in dire moments she will put her feelings for Naruto above all priorities as she has always done since she was introduced in the manga. In the middle of a war she will always remind herself to protect Naruto and her feelings for him, but what about her friends and families??? her teammates??? her father??? What about the fate of the world??? Everyone is fighting to protect Naruto and Bee too, that's the objective of the war. But the main reason is to protect their world from Obito and Madara and save it. Hinata is only thinking about the first objective since she only thinks about Naruto. How about if Hinata gets the chance to save only one person because she only has the time to save one Naruto or her teammates and father if both parties were hanging on a cliff. No need to guess who she will choose.

Should have said that at first then. xD Then I agree.
Funny you say that since I have yet to see Sakura, Neji, Chouji, Kiba etc. ever think about Bee or the World. They only cared about fighting for Naruto. What are your thoughts on this?

I think Kishi should write Hinata say something very inspiring and encouraging. Imagine if in the next chapter Naruto is about to give in to despair, and Hinata, out of respect to her cousin and all the Konoha family, slaps Naruto back to reality and makes him once again feel confident and strong. That way Hinata could show that she appreciates everyone in the battlefield and her cousin's sacrifice. Also she could cry during Neji dying to show her devastition that her cousin is dead.

That's like if Sakura were to say "Omg Sasuke-kun's sooooo warm I can feel his muscles!" when she hugged him from behind after he flipped out on the Sound-nin during the Chunin Exams.
That's distasteful period - fangasming during a serious situation. I'm glad Sakura DIDN'T do that.
