Early 40's isn't old , barely even middle aged. You kids today...

To get serious though on how to draw middle aged characters- Wrinkles aren't usually done on characters in their early 40's unless they had a really rough life. (Which is reflective of real life- typically only people who had a harsh life, were too addicted to tanning, or abused drugs- including tobacco and alcohol, wrinkle in their 40's, even "crows feet" don't usually get noticeable for those that didn't do the above until around 50's, what happens to faces to most people in their 40's is the jawline does indeed start looking sharper, and the face begins to curve in under the cheekbones- making the cheekbones look sharper, and as a result of that the smile line does indeed start to stand out when the person has an expression other than a neutral one.) Instead in anime and manga the eyes are narrowed, noses more emphasized, jawlines sharper. The only facial lines you might see are what's called the "smile line" between the mouth and lower cheekbone- usually done on male characters not female.

Look at Tsume and Chouza who look to be the same age range as that animated image of Mebuki and Kizashi

In anime facial wrinkle lines aren't usually drawn until the character is nearing 60. Female characters might get the smile line some male characters get their 40's in their 50's, and around mid 50's they might have a line on their neck showing the beginnings of the sunken look the neck starts to get around 60- but not dramatically so until around 70. (Kishimoto showed that line on Tsunade's neck while she was grieving Jiraiya's death, and drew her face 50ish looking too- really noticeable in the chapter where Naruto leaves for Sage training...)

Look at Jiraiya, he goes from early to mid 50's in the present time storyline. Tazuna is 59 at the start of the manga, around 63 when he appeared in part 2. Hiruzen, Koharu and Homura were 68/69 in part 1, in part 2 Koharu, Homura, Danzo and Ebizo are 72/73, Chiyo 73 in part 2 of the manga. (Oonoki is perhaps slightly older, but he's drawn in a bit of a comedic style, not the more realistic style- so not a good reference.)

i think discussing age of characters are irrelevant to the history, time is abstract on Naruto.

O_O Sakura's parents look....weird, I expected her dad to be very young and her mom to be kinda like her. HOwever who cares, I just hope they are cool. Although her dad looks like a hobo imo (sry to offend any hobo here).


However, it should be interesting on how this all works out, when is the trailer/movie coming out again. I mean in japanese, cuz im gonna watch it like that.

Heh, not so much a homeless person, but Kizashi does kind of look like the sort of person who dresses and looks the way he wants, not giving a rat's behind what other people think, where her mom dresses formally but shows some rebelliousness from formality in how she wears her hair- maybe that's what attracted them to each other... both having a bit of a rebellious streak.

The long trailer is supposed to come out in Japan on June 30th (next Saturday). The movie will open in Japanese theaters on July 28th.

Blood prison with subs was supposed to come out this summer, but it came out earlier. April is spring ya know. Do you guys think this will happen with this movie as well?

Maybe. They hype is pretty huge. I don't think there's ever been much press for the other movies compared to this one. But then again, I don't normally pay attention.

Damn, all right!! it's here!!!! (even though it's not the long one)

Now, let's see.... Hinata is acting a lot more like Sakura in this movie, (tsundere perhaps??) Also, love the small family scene. It's hilarious. Lastly, Kushina in Jonin outfit!!! I really hope we'll see some badass Kushina here!!

And, *ehem* that SS scene.... man, that one cracked me up!!

Well, I guess we won't be the only shipping fans getting excited for this movie, considering what we've seen so far.

Hopefully we get the biggest payoff though, since Sasuke and Hinata are technically AU characters here.

I think the movie will also have some fan service for NaruSaku, but it looks like SS and NH will have something to celebrate about as well. Even if they get more or we don't get any at all, I'll still enjoy the other material from the movie, and you all should as well.

On a different note, the animation doesn't look as HD as I would have expected.

Really pumped about this trailer. The SS and NH in the trailer is too obvious and I feel that NS will be provided in the end. They use this against us but I feel that it's really good for us.

I noticed Sakura blushing in one panel but at what I don't know. I think any NaruSaku interactions, if there are any, were left out of the trailer on purpose. We'll just have to wait and see. :]
