Ken just made a bit of a point, Rocci. :) He knows it isn't legit.

Oh Weekly manga Recap. I have watch a full episode of theirs for at least a year. I liked when they first aired but i just started disagreeing with everything they said. Especially after Rollot rant about Hinata being the "light of the army" and how Naruto has to love her. Out curiosity what did they think of the ending? I assume they loved it.
Actually no. They said it didn't make any sense. Also pointed that Naruto and Hinata barely had any interaction over the course of the series. Didn't sound like they liked it.

I've somewhat lost my old enthusiasm for Dragonball. The new material is somewhat uninspired. It rehashes age-old concepts like Super Saiyan transformations while introducing just the minimal amount of fresh new content. And the scope of relevancy has retracted so much that everyone with the exception of Goku and Vegeta are little more than contrivances to demonstrate how powerful the new threat is - even Gohan and the Saiyan children have been stricken from list of viable warriors who could challenge the next antagonist. It's reminiscent of the final days of Naruto where the only characters who held any weight were Naruto and Sasuke.
There's the flaw in itself with DBZ though... originally it was just about surpassing limits, now it's like "We're gonna remove those limits so the characters can be gods". In that regard, yes, DB has lost what was special to itself.

I agree in my opinion they put too much timing on the power levels. It was cool at first but it got ridiculous during the boo saga. Like Naruto it should have been more on being a ninja than God mode. There's the flaw in itself with DBZ though... originally it was just about surpassing limits, now it's like "We're gonna remove those limits so the characters can be gods". Power contest mangas are boring as hell. I'd rather see actual STORY and character development.

Anyway, the author intend to finish the manga in frieza arc. But the manga is too popular to finish and we got cell and buu saga.
It still good arc Eventhought it become laser spam.

It didn't have much to lose. Naruto had too many.

Naruto pretend to become a shonen manga with deep theme.
Yeah, that and tried to keep it like that while being a typical battle manga: mindless, explosive, and logic overwrite.

they're both already dry to me, not to mention the plot is pretty garbage. db is all about the next strong villain, which is way too repetitive and boring now. while naruto is just some crappy wannabe shoujo. wait until what with op? it's been going on for as long as pokemon and it's still a top seller with a rich universe and decent story line.

When it ends, the question is, "Is it over?" That's One Piece future question and looking at DB, you may know the answer.

we are no where there yet so that doesn't matter right now. we'll revisit that in a couple of years, but i highly doubt oda would milk his story beyond its limit. the guy bends over for no one.

Basically the franchise is doomed to be milked, with or without Oda.

You are correct sir.
Anything that has any sort of success is doomed to be milked at one point. Anything.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

milked, in the context that we are talking about, is when a series has long stayed its welcome and has become a repetitive cash grab. op is far from that. db will continue to put out another god like creature for goku and the gang to face, and naruto will continue being naruto.

FMA got away quick, though fans wanted more in anything, even games. Instead, she went straight to Silver Spoon to avoid anything else.
