"The movie provides insight into Naruto’s later years, and it shows that he does live happily ever after in the end. For long-time fans, this must be a gratifying moment, to see the protagonist of the series finally get the reward that he has fought so hard for."
Not really...

I think it's about the idea of getting a family and that's it. Nice on paper, terrible on execution. I actually read a post that pretty much talked about Naruto the series or rather Kishi as a writer. He brings neat ideas in characters but the development/execution leave so much to be desired. In other words, he has the good in paper, but execution is awful."The movie provides insight into Narutos later years, and it shows that he does live happily ever after in the end. Yeah, but that's the kind of thinking the NH fandom goes by too.
They say we should be happy for Naruto because of the fact that he has a family and is seemingly happy at the end of the movie, but if I feel no empathy towards him and what he's accomplished then it's just not possible for me to be happy for him.
I know the person who wrote the review knows that too, but it's kind of a moot point to say the happy ending was a positive when it took a contrived and forced romance story to get there.

Yeah, I know. It's like saying that for bad animated movies because that person won or something. It's not enough to make it good. It's like the soundtrack being good, it doesn't mean the movie is good.Yeah, but that's the kind of thinking the NH fandom goes by too.

huh, i thought it would be funny to share a non-naruto fan's thoughts
in this review he wrote 3 highlights (Smooth and fluid animation, Sasuke’s cameo Worthy resolution to Naruto’s life)
and 5 let-downs ( Awkward love story that’s not compelling, Underwhelming action, Vague and boring villain, Naruto is never in danger, Naruto’s adult character design is disappointing)
and seriously, the highlights are just the reviewer being nice
-animation art is unrelated to a good story or movie
-sasuke's 3 seconds cameo.. speak for itself, lol
-resolution; cheaply written happily-ever-afters
none of which is praising the nh route the movie is focusing so hard on
as for let-downs
-he's finally talking about the story in the movie

did you notice that the title of the review is Review: ‘The Last: Naruto the Movie’ deviates awkwardly into romance he is not praising the movie.

"Usually, anime feature films are emotionally richer and more intense than the regular series, but the focus is the same as the anime."
True ! RTN !!!! RTN !!!
"The movie provides insight into Naruto’s later years, and it shows that he does live happily ever after in the end. For long-time fans, this must be a gratifying moment, to see the protagonist of the series finally get the reward that he has fought so hard for."
Hummm...Nope.
"Perhaps set in the context of the “Naruto” universe, the core romance between Naruto and Hinata makes sense,"
...Nope.
"It feels one-sided and forced"
Series, movie..... it was always One-sided !!!
"Younger Naruto, the one we see more often in the anime, is an adorable ninja whom we root for, simply because he tries so hard. Adult Naruto loses that one element that makes him human and relatable, and is instead a flawless character that wins fights easily. I understand the need to show Naruto’s character growth over the course of many years, but if the protagonist already begins without any room for improvement, how does he develop as a result of the events of the movie? If there’s no character development, then why this movie important to the character in the first place?"
YES, YES AND YES !
Anyway, it's a good review ! It's good to see a neutral fan's point of view ! Anybody not biased would notice that all of this was terribly forced !

I did and I realize he didn't like the movie, but I just disagree that the ending to the movie was "a gratifying moment for long time fans".
Everything that happened before the ending to the movie made no sense and it's hard to feel empathy for Naruto after all that. The ending to the Last may show that he is happy with his family, but we know that's not true in 700 and the Gaiden so it just feels like the Last is jam packed full of lies and retcons that I can't take that ending seriously.

Yeah, as I said, Red, it's obvious for Naruto, the magic has ended and now he's truly unhappy with his current situation with Hinata and the kids, and acts as if he is busy because he doesn't want to admit his mistake and his humanity.

Question:
Is this movie seen worse from the view of non-fan or fan? Why?
Fan, of course
A non fan would basically have more or less the same view that guy from the review had
Only a true fan ( not a biased NH/SS pairing one) would be able to see how bad and disappointing the last truly is because of the retcons in the canon story
Persona 5 hype

I can't believe Ino's up there with a role *o*
shdvysghsavxyavsyasygaygs
..anyways..
I have a feeling there's gonna be other Naruto movies with them in those attires..maybe the new era stuff are movies placed 2 years after the end of the manga
We still havent seen Temari, Kiba, or Shino animated yet too, yet we saw Tenten animated so far but surprisingly isn't up there on the site in the "characters" section. It looks like she got replaced by Ino
-yaaaaaay!-
Plus Sakura's casual outfit...theres no sign or scene with her wearing it..
why do I feel like they changed the plot to this Hinata centric plot not too long ago..
i wonder what the REAL plot was going to be? it looked like it would have been narusaku with sasuke as the main villan untill kishi messed up, and whent SS/NH so i always thought they did the hinata plot as a big middle finger to kishi LOL. i think we COULD HAVE had it all since SP were NS shippers but, kishi blew it
