No one else is joining the crew. You need a huge backstory and a big dream to be on his ship.
 
My backstory is I like girls, and my dream would be to marry Tashigi. If that doesn't work for Luffy and I can't join their crew, then I would be like Bart.

Well the arc is finally over, hopefully the next one doesn't involve another princess that needs rescuing. I think the last three arcs have all involved princess's or in Boa's case Empress, nd they all seem to have created a strong bond with Luffy.

Anyway Gear fourth seems to have an even more severe backlash. Well here's to controlling it eventually. Cause I admit part of the Appeal of the time skip is that Luffy was able to use gear second and third without any ill side-effects. Well on the surface at least, if there is it hasn't been stated.

That arc will always be one of the best. Crocodile was a phenomenal villain. All around great character.

 

Both of the times he gets really happy over Nami being naked were in only the anime. I'm not a Luffy x Nami fan but I kinda like it sometimes because the next pirate king should have a pirate queen. I just see Luffy as uninterested in anything sexual. I find it odd because even Gol D. Roger ended up making Ace. If the pirate king and nearly exact copy of Luffy fell in love, why can't Luffy? Anyway, the only ship I'm shipping in One Piece is Zoro x Tashigi. There's a reason Zoro hasn't told Tashigi the name of his old friend/crush. Kuina has to be related to Tashigi or something. When she finds out she will be all like "Omg wow I can't fight you anymore pirate hunter, because you were her best friend. Look at your muscles. You should marry me. 10/10 Should make swordsmen baby." Fight me Smoker x Tashigi shippers.

There's no romance in onepiece.
Oda doesn't incorporate it is a genius move for long running manga like onepiece. Eventhought I can see which pairing has potential to happen.

Pure shonen battle manga hero doesn't have love interest or doesn't interest in sex/opposite sex. Usually because they are stupid or naive/pure.
