Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Naruto suck at genjutsu? Isn't he even worse than Sakura? What's stopping Sasuke steamrolling him in one panel?

Yeah, basically. In more ways than one. The only thing I can say is that as of right now things do not look good. Things look really bad for everything. Not just Sakura and NS or others. I don't what Kishi has planning, but right now it better be something really big because he really shot himself in the foot with this one. Nothing makes sense at this point in time. None of it makes sense at all and no matter how it is viewed it all seems bad.

It's really hard right now to believe that things will turn out okay in the manga sense. It really hard to try and see this as being some thing that can work out in the end in a logical way. I know people keep saying that this is a shonen manga and things happen on weird effects, but there is also a limit to how much suspension of belief there really can be before it starts to collapse on itself and ruin the story.

I am willing to wait to see where this goes, but right now I think a lot of people are shaken by this. My faith in NS has not been shaken, but my faith in Kishimoto has. My faith that Kishi could make a great ending to this and be it good writing has been shaken a lot.

 

I have to agree. During early part 2 and especially Part 1 the fights were exciting and even the drama was good. Now whenever I read the next chapter I either get bored or frustrated or both bc sometimes the chapter makes absolutely no sense.

Well at least we get the final fight but since we know they both live it really is not as interesting as it should have been. With the continuous war it will be same battle and some talk and that seems to be about it and then the series may very well be over. I just wonder how many chapters are really left and if it really will end before the new movie.

It was shown in the fight between Sas-gay and Bee that a jinchurriki can break Mangekyo Sharingan level Genjutsu

Pretty easy what it would do: It would finally after every kitten Sasuke has done make her realize that he wasnt the right choice to go for. At least her character is then redeemed in death. Still better ending for her then now. The best part of all this is she still loves a guy that she startet loving because of his looks coolness and talents. What a message kishi.

Her death would just leave her character as how is right now. I fail to understand how this may help in any way.

There is a way for this to be saved and still somewhat make sense. The bench scene. We need the bench scene to really be brought up now. Kishimoto can no longer step around it. Sakura's words about "if he still has a soft spot for her somewhere in his heart" really urked me, but it just hit me. When has Sasuke ever shown a soft spot for Sakura before? Never, EXCEPT when Naruto dressed up as Sasuke and showed her kindness. That is the only time. I thought this was Sakura being delusional, but it was actually Naruto who tricked her from the beginning. Naruto screwed it up for himself with it.

If that bench scene comes into play and Sakura realizes that her entire emotional views was a lie, then maybe...just maybe this can be saved and not be an asspull or bull. MAYBE. Granted, this will not fix everything, but it can somewhat make sense of most of it all and tie back into the story that Kishimoto is trying so desperately to do.

I think this is the best hope we can for this story to make a good ending. Not just for NS, but for everything.

The other half of the Kyuubi is still in Naruto. Yes, Sasuke can genjutsu the tailed beast, but he cannot genjutsu the tailed beats inside it;s jinchuuriki. Even Madara couldn't do that. That's why Naruto can fight it.

James@ yes that's why I believe the bench scene will be revisited. Catsi and myself have been saying that theory for a very long time especially when Kishi has been doing a lot revisiting from part 1 in this arc.

I thought that "soft spot" she was talking about was the "Thank You" he gave her in her flashback to 181 . Either way you are right that now only the bench scene is the only way so salvage some of this mess but even with that its not good enough  like you said .

 

Now there was something in this chap that made me think that maybe just maybe Kishimoto won't screw it up and for once do callback to a NS scene . I say this bc Sasuke referred  to Sakura's love as nothing but a Fairy Tale  which was what Sakura wanted and thought of when that forehead comment  happened by Naruto in Ch 3 this may be a hint but its probably a stretch on my part  .

Yeah, I know, but what I saying is now it HAS to be revisited. If it still is ignored and Kishimoto never brings it back up at all, then how can anything make sense at this point. He tapped dances around it for so long now it seems like it is unavoidable.

Like I said, it is not just Sakura he has screwed over with this and there is no excuse for any of it, but we cannot help that anymore. Despite what some claim, I am still facepalming at Naruto fangirling of Sasuke too and no, there is no excuse for it. I am tired of people saying Naruto is justified when he really isn't.

He has also made Hinata too look nothing more than obsessed weak fangirl. So take some satisfaction that even Hinata is seen as a weak pathetic fangirl too. I hate it all. I hated it ever since this war arc started.

now that you mention it, Sasuke states "i don't even know why she likes me" Dude has no idea that she thinks he tried to kiss her. lol

He also threaten to kill her master too and she still poured her heart out to him. It won't be believable anymore when she falls out of love with him because he already has given her plenty of opportunities to do so.

 

Attempting to murder her three times won't do.

Threatening to kill konoha citizens won't do.

Threatening to kill her master won't do.

Threatening to kill Naruto won't do.

 

Will really killing her and reviving her will do? I doubt it.
