I haven't watched the anime since the fillers started and before that (after chapter 700 & the movie spoilers leaked), i watched the episodes on fast forward (3-4 minutes per episode). I'll watch the CPR scene and Guy's final battle and then i'm done with SP and their sh*tty anime.

 

I can't watch the movie, not even for closure...it would just insult my intelligence

I suspected that the amount of bullsh** was big in the film, but i didn't expected it to be this high (i might almost call it legendary). I'm never gonna watch this movie, so i'm glad someone made a very funny summary.

P.S. Kind of disappointed that a lot of people on this forum that vowed to never watch this kitten, actually did.

I can't actually remember if I ever woved not to watch it...hmm...

 

Anyway the only reason I watched it is so that others wouldn't be able to use the "You haven't seen it, so you can't really comment on it" excuse. 

 

Plus we all saw it for free online and that's the important part.

I've read the first chapter and I really like where you're going with this. There are so many things that Kishi failed to wrap up properly, or he forgot about altogether, that it makes my head hurt just thinking about it. But with your story you can fix these problems and also give Naruto the ending that it deserved after its 15 year long run, because we all know that the canon ending just wasn't it.

 

I would also like to say that I really apperciate you doing this because a lot of writers have just dropped Naruto after the atrious ending which is understandable, but I admire the people who are able to keep writing about the characters that we know and love even in these bad times.

 

Keep up the good work and I'll be sure to read the next chapter when it comes!

Watched a few clips of the movie on youtube.

 

The good: Naruto's battle withToneri. For a movie fight, it was pretty good. I also like how they played a remix version of the Naruto main theme from part one.

 

The bad: Naruto's scenes with Hinata felt SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO out of character. It's look something out of a bad fanfic. Especially the scene where he gets jealous and mad at Hinata. He never acted that pathetic when he liked Sakura. Not to mention the Naruto and HInata tag teaming. I mean, REALLY?!?!? It felt so out of place. That has always been Sakura's role. Seeing someone besides Sakura (or hell, even sasuke) as a part  of the power couple dynamic is just pure insanity. Naruto and Sakura are the real power couple. Have cemented that status since the beginning of part two. Again, really really bad fanfic. This Hinata character has stolen so much from this manga. It's like whoever wrote this was rubbing it in our faces that "HInata should have been on team 7, not Sakura (or hell, not Sasuke either!)."

I don't like the fight. It deludes the viewers by being all flashy and DBZish. That's how people sometimes say Bleach is better because of bigger bang. For me, it all depends on the style and if you break from it, it's not good. If you're in that style, make the best out of it.

Usually, that's an issue for me and was my main complaint with Naruto vs Sasuke rematch. See, I actually prefer that creative tactical battles which this series used to prominently give us. Before Kishi decided to take the easy way and make all the fights unimaginative DBZ slug fest. That said, it's a 90 minute movie, so I'm inclined to cut it some slack on that front. A detailed creative tactical bout would consum upwards from 45 minutes to an hour. Sasuke's fight with Danzou was 50 minutes in itself in the anime. So yeah, I get the need for a glorified slug fest.

 

That said, again, the Hinata tagteam is just out of place. In my mind, I always envisioned a post NaruSaku confirmation moment where Naruto and Sakura use perfectly in-sync teamwork to take down an immensely powerful enemy. So great that they don't even need to communicate the plan verbally. They just intuitively know what to do. And then two other characters, injured and on the side lines (e.g. Kakashi and Shikamaru) comment on the tactical display, wondering how Naruto and Sakura pulled that off. "Heaven and earth", Kakashi says discernfully. And then we see a quick part one flashback, bringing things full circle.

 

Alas, such a missed opportunity.

You know what got me thinking? In the end Naruto took Sakura's advice overall that Hinata loves him and that he should be with her... basically in the end Naruto still loved Sakura enough to believe and follow what she told him.

That's lovely!! Maybe one of us fanfic writers could try to work that scene in somewhere? Then it doesn't have to be a lost moment!!

To think that The Last is one of the worst, imagine when Boruto movie come out...recycled storyline, recycled villain...what I just read about it brings me laughter about how stupid is this thing supposed to be....
