Read that again, most fans hated the movie, casuals couldn't really care less, and as they are casuals they wouldn't consume. The only people who really liked the Last are the NH shippers

My stupid hillbilly cousin likes NH but he didn't even know Hinata ended up with Naruto at the end. Most casuals don't even buy the manga, they just watch it on TV. I doubt anyone cares about the Last until it hits the shelves & starts being advertised in stores.

That kissing scene was so bull crap it makes me laugh so hard. They couldn't make an original scene so they copied the sailor moon one. Only NH fans would accept such crap. Honestly if they tried that with NS I would kill SP and kishi. Idiots of the century.

So we know Yahagi was the the first editor for Naruto and seeing how good Naruto was until after the Pain Arc. So my thing is how do you guys think Yahagi would've took Naruto after the Pain Arc.  Do you guys think there still would've been a Five Kage Summit Arc and a War Arc or would it have been completely different?

I do think the story would be better if he was still in charge after that point
But maybe Naruto was destined to be a trainwreck

Casual fan is important. Since most money come from them.

The problems with the casual fan argument is this. Naruto has already ended. The Last was the last Naruto movie. That is a great point to jump off if you are no longer interested in the series. If a person hasn't left already that is? So this Naruto Gaiden is suppose to attract these readers and convince them to continue with the spin off, but what is there in this Gaiden to interest them? Well they would be looking to be entertained. What entertains them? Action and a Good story are two thing that would interest casual readers. Ever since Chapter 700 Naruto has abandon every plot except the pairings and has been about them almost none stop. Is that going to attract the fans that want a good story? When for 1-15 years they weren't interested in the pairing to being with? Action the first chapter is a mystery about who is Salad's mommy is that the type of action people read shounen manga's for?

 

That's the problem there is nothing to interest reader that aren't invested in the pairings. So how is suppose to attract old or new readers who don't care about the pairings?

I think they had already setup up where Naruto was going to go by the time Yahagi left. The only thing that would really change is probably the removal of a lot of the inconsistent that happened after he left.

No it was just Kishimoto being an ass. You see, when Sakura finds out Hinata loves Naruto she feels sad. When Naruto sees Sakura hug Sasuke he feels sad. When Hinata sees Sakura hug Naruto?
She smiles.
When Sasuke sees Sakura & Naruto happy together?
Doesn't give a kitten.
In the end it was Sakura & Naruto who had to sacrifice their happiness not Hinata & Sasuke who were capable of moving on just fine.
