Sasuke is a combination of kurapika background story(revenge, the last of it's kind, and eye power) and killua all about family( and killua assassin move).
Rukawa popularity and indifferent attitude (slam dunk).
And "save" tetsuo from Akira.

Kishi is not a creative mangaka.
The only good thing he could write is drama. More precisely soap opera drama.

Well, the critic did call it full of cliche. Still, I guess he tried to do what Star Wars did only much less successful in many ways.

Those are details of inspirations, in the end we can find such things in most of the works around the world. There are many things to take into consideration when developing a story, I am gonna give Kishi the benefit of doubt in some terms, he did build after all a great world and all that, the problem he's lacking at is characterization along with character development and mostly he suffers in the realistic development department... When people say it's just a world and all that, it's fantasy, yes I agree with them, it's fantasy but even that world has established some moral codes and for the moral codes that Kishi himself built in his story the bad part is that he doesn't live up to them. And he has a biiiiiig problem with accountability. I get it, it might be part of the charm of the story but you can only pull this for so long... as in, at a point, like it was in his story, it starts degrading the story.

I've seen many many many problems with his manga from the very beginning, however, I looked past them because this was first and foremost a manga about bonds and so many happen in rl too. It was magical up to a point, the way he portrayed these bonds and everything else... up until he really started to screw-up with over emphasis on certain things which up to a point work, as I said, but then they start degrading the story.

a lot of characters in naruto have traits from different characters in another series before it, just as it is with other series. naruto isn't the only series that copies traits from other characters. main protagonist that is an idiot. it's been done to death.

I just got back from watching NC episode. I actually remember that episode of Tom from Tom and Jerry sitting on a train track, because he lost love. In the end, Tom and Jerry both sit down and look depressed. People actually thought they committed suicide. I never saw it like that, but I do like how NC pointed out why it happened today. The key word is today.

The ending of the episode made me laugh hard because well, that's what happening now. In the end, he argued who will be depressed over a media news about love. So he pull out his phone and read that 50 Shades of Grey is already passing 50 millions at pre-order box office. This is unfortunately true. So he goes away and sat down next to Tom.

Sometimes, I question humanity. I truly do.

One funny fact - in chapter 3, Naruto stated that he likes Sakura-chan, before he even knew that she has something to Sasuke. Third kittening chapter from the beggining, I'm about to belive, that The Last is made by idiots who just wanted to see how many of their kind is there.

Hey guys I just thought of a question: do you think Kishi can ever right his wrong? Like maybe in Part 3 and in the novels everything becomes completely detailed and understandable? Especially since he has time to flesh out his plot-holes? 

 

I personally don't. I'm a firm believer in "if it wasn't written in the manga, it doesn't count", and Part 3 isn't even written by him or considered apart of the "Naruto" manga. 

 

I'm with you. If it's not in the manga it doesn't count. Naruto is over. 700 chapters. Everything else is just background noise that will further corrupt the canon material.
