Terrorking, I would actually prefer that Sakura has a hidden power that she hasn't unlocked yet. Of all the characters introduced in Naruto, each of them has a unique ability that's one of their defining traits. And also, Naruto in itself is a battle manga, so a lot of the characters are often defined by their special fighting abilities.
I agree, but it's not like there isn't plenty of material for Sakura to draw from. Take Tsunade for example. There's plenty to work with right there. But yeah, It wouldn't hurt to have Sakura learn a couple of new offensive techniques. You hear that Kishi?!
As K9 says, it would be interesting if Sakura's parents had the special ability to be immune to Genjutsu. To further expand on K9's theory, I could see them somehow interfering with Tobi's genjutsu. I could see it going like this:
Tobi puts NS in the genjutsu, Sakura's parents discover them and Tobi retreats, because the Genjutsu takes up massive amounts of chakra and his chakra supply is almost zero. Thus he retreats because he doesn't have enough energy to spare to fight even a low-chuunin level ninja. But not before he smugly declares that the genjutsu is unbreakable and he can kidnap Naruto anytime once he recovers.
Kizashi and Mebuki then starts getting to work to interfere with the genjutsu by inserting themselves in the genjutsu while keeping their personalities intact. Then they both become the main supporting characters helping Sakura learn to unlock her secret ability.
That would be awesome and furthermore, it would also fit perfectly with Sakura being labelled a "genjutsu type" by Kakashi.
Sakura's parents do not look to parallel Naruto and Sakura. I'd have no problem with speculation, but I don't think its wise to get stuck up on something that's not clear or obvious. For instance, I have no problem with the Kushina/Sakura parallel because they do share similar characteristics. This time though, not so much. It just seems desperate to try to find parallels with everything relating to the pairing just so it can look likelier. Its nice when there's an obvious connection, but when there's not, it just makes things tedious or shallow.
Your aggressive attitude is 100 % uncalled for, btw.
That's exactly the problem. We don't have any solid hints for a basis to speculate. Nothing. Nothing at all. It's like NH fans saying NH is canon because Kushina and Hinata have long hair.
As long as people acknowledge that it is nothing more than simple conjecture and speculation, I don't see what the problem is. Sure, there is a point where such speculation will become too much, but ridiculing people for having a different opinion/outlook is going too far IMO.
No offense taken, I'm talking about the emotional impression of the tone of headbanger music leaves- with the hardcore sound it just doesn't fit with the gentle but strong vibe of the power of family bonds. Hey, I was in my teens- early twenties at the height of the metal bands and I don't see a good fit with that sound either. Now if the opening song referenced Naruto's hidden pain over not having a family then a headbanger sound would fit with that. While the end song would be the one to emphasize the strength of the bond, so something more melodic with a gentler tone would fit that.
It is true that headbanger music has a more hardcore sound in general, but I believe that even aggressive sounding music can have a positive message. Not all metal is solely about being depressed and/or hating everything. That's why I belive that Haruku Kanata was a good fit for the 2nd Naruto OP. Sure it had a somewhat aggressive sound, but the overall message was still very positive. It was about passion and and going after what you believe in 100%, so while the overall sound was aggressive, the underlying message wasn't.
