I've grown to like Boruto. He's such a rotten scowling little douchebag, reminds me of myself. Him & Salad would make a good tag team.

 

Especially since both got serious father issues with both their dads having such suckage as fathers...

I saw the new family picture. Speaking about creativity. Needless to say, it left me so disappointed that I could never looked at the original Uzumaki family picture the same way again.

 

When the original family picture was drawn (after Kushina's arc if I'm not mistaken) and given the backstory of how tragic Namikaze/Uzumaki family ended their lives... the impression that I got was a bittersweet feeling.. something that could've been, but unfortunately could never been attained, which left me as a readers wanting more. 

 

The original one gives an impression of a happy and loving family. Much like how they pictured them in Road to Ninja movie... My impression for the original picture was...

 

Kushina - a caring and loving mother albeit looked scary on the surface (in the drawing, she made the effort to prep the meal and ensure her kid had proper meal before go to study. She'll do the lovely yelling and talking, that's what mothers role are in the family ).

 

Minato - a caring and present father albeit probably busy with hokage works (in the drawing, he made the time to have breakfast together with his family. He giggled on Naruto, signifying that he's his son's best friend...)

 

Naruto - a hard worker idiot academy student trying to catch up with his rival (in the drawing, he made the effort to jump right away with half-eaten bread in his mouth, leaving the impression that he's eager to train and to catch up --supported by the title. Minato was giggling at him, signifying that he's on Naruto's side for whatever he's going to do.. he probably think what Naruto's doing vs Kushina's yelling is cute... you know typical 'Dad as son's best-friend' stereotype...)

 

.. and many other interpretations that you can make just from one picture.

 

Thanks to the new NH Uzumaki family picture, it's all gone now. I could never see the old picture the same way again. Wow, this is really the first time I've regretted spending so much time and money with a series.

 

To me it is an insult against the original drawing to compare what Naruto has become (a neglectful father) and what his kid's motivations are (a kid berating his own dad as 'kitten Old Man' and trying to get his attentions).

 

There's no impression of 'cute' at all in the new picture for me. Hinata didn't even giggle to Bolt's antique (she's supposed to be 'scary and strong', according to the Last movie right?). Himawari was... just there. I didn't find Naruto's yelling to his son is cute at all. Put your shoes as parents. Normally the mother will do the lovely yelling and lots of talking... the father will be the wiser of the two, and lead the gang with example (less talking, less shouting, more doing).

My impression is close to yours with some differences.

When I look at the original I see the family that could've been. When I look at the NH, all I see is a dead family. Naruto sort of cares but is more preoccupied with his new technological toy, Burrito is pathetic copy of the old Naruto, the mop is just there with no reason to exist or to live she has no purpose to exist, she's just there and Hinata is what in my language is known is a "carpa de sters pe jos" the translation for that would be "a rag for wiping the floor" basically she's worthless. She can't do anything and everyone can do anything with her. She's pathetic, if you tell her to do something or to shut the hell up she's do it as along as someone notices her, she has no backbone.

She's just pathetic and a toxin to this series. Everytime....every kittenin' time I wish for it to be Hinata instead of Neji on that ill fated day. Good character development for her and she could've got the closure with Naruto...that she had always desired. But here she is now....being the head of Hyuuga clan...letting down her father...her uncle...her sister and her cousin who sacrificed himself for her. What kind of a head is she? Without a backbone? Gosh! This is so pathetic. Such a pathetic leader for such a prestigious clan? Na na! That clan doesn't deserve that. Even now when I hear her voice....I literally feel like running my fist through my computer screen. She is that bad...I swear I have never hated any character on this level before....

Oh I'm not talking about NH being finailized, I'm talking about any honesty at all in this series. MK is NOTHING like NH. Not even close. I always said that if they tried to make a parrel of it, their would be nothing that could bring me back to the proper fandom. Now it's been nailed shut. At this point Kishimoto could claim all of this is an AU and the real ending was NS, and he could write it better then any love story that has ever been written. I'll still be arguing against it on principle.

 

Before I was anti-Kishimoto because he had no writing talent. Now you can also add that he has no honor to that list. Pathetic.

If I made that picture I would'n't make it like this. I would've made it Sakura glaring at her husband and son for skipping breakfast and both of them scared of their wife/mother.

Yahiko, Nagato and Konan were obvious equivalents of team 7 as well.

 

Yahiko who looked and acted like Naruto was in love with Konan the girl with the flower name and vice versa.

At least, Yahiko was honest to her until the end and got to kiss her at least once.

 

To me all these parallels are strong proofs of Kishimoto's real feelings and intentions. I will never forget what he said to us about the Uniqlo OVA : "I'm doing what I can't do in the manga".
