I think part of the deal is rather that, for NH and SS fans, its otherwise an issue to some that Sakura is actually changing, 663 being a notion that she cares for him more than a friend to go supporting his dream in this case. It doesn't sit well with SS fans if Sakura turns to Naruto because then they feel Sasuke is ruined. NH fans dont sit well with this because with naruto still loving sakura and sakura potentially turning to him, this makes them upset cause then Hinata, to them is unfulfilled.
Really my gripe is that the fans supporting NH and SS, its not given a foundation for most cases to be a legimate pairing, in anycase if the pairing stuff is a subplot, like any plot it needs development, a beginning, a middle, and an end. Theres no problem with NS, its been going through these stages, but for the other 2, well SS couldnt occur that much when Sasuke left and it didnt even change much in the start so its otherwise, still stuck on its beginning. NH at least has a beginning, the chunin exams, ironically this arc was also the last in which hinata had a major role, but everything afterwards has been a short moment, sudden, and otherwise unresolved. The point is, NH has a beginning at least, but no middle, the whole aspect of hinatas time in part 2 to this point can be summed up as she resees naruto and faints (this was just a short scene to reintroduce her team like team 10 had), she then tagged along with naruto and yamato when hunting itachi (but this wasn't development, only sasuke and to a lesser degree naruto himself had development in this arc, hinata seeing kabuto was only a progenitor to show kabuto had taken orochimarus power). Then came the confession in pain, really that doesn't seem sudden? Both prior events she was in, we didnt see more about her character herself. Then came the stuff with the war which didnt answer anything, than 615 which blew stuff out of proportion to NH fans. Thats just among the whole "disjointed" arguement I make for NH, it has a beginning, but such a lose middle, its not strucutured, it has no middle.
My point is, at this time, NH and SS fans are otherwise only hoping for an end, and end in which their pairings occur, but feasibly, even by just story structure, you cannot have an end without a beginning first, followed by a middle. This isn't hard to work out yet fans make it harder than it needs to be. Literally, even on tumblr, I have seen how there have been more angry activities from some fans that, this just makes me ashamed to be a shipping fan at this point, some people on tumblr (not saying them) have been almost marked for death because apparently, they cannot stand the authors choice in actually doing something with his characters, there are those who cannot stand the notion of sakura changing, those who dont like it that sasuke is otherwise under no necessity to even love another, that kishi isnt using the fan favorite hinata when theres no purpose to use her right now. People cannot stand how the author best thought he should bring about the story and think he should shove this stuff aside all for the sake of 2 hardly touched upon pairings. The thing these types of fans need to understand is kishi had the choice, he had the ability, the freaking freedom, the will, the capability, the opportunity, and the reason and ability to create priority and reason to have made the story end up making sasuke go for sakura or focus more on hinata with naruto gradually shifting to her, but he freaking chose to focus on sakura changing in regards to both naruto and sasuke and with sasuke, if its her maturing and eventually ending her love for sasuke, thats the authors damned choice. Its not like he hasn't given us reason to suspect sakura could have strong feelings for naruto and at the same time giving the reader moments where her feelings to sasuke are called into question. It was kishi's damned choice, just as gallieo said if god wanted us to know everything that was said and done, he could have made us into a million different ways and revealed all about the universe, kishi had the choice, the opportunity, etc about how to write his story. JK rowling may have restarted an old flame war with her remarks saying she regretted ron with herminoe but its too late, she had the choice then and there, now its said and done. If kishi is intent on sakura turning away from sasuke and possibly going to naruto, that was his choice and he had the story flow so this one subplot could fit into it along with the main plot. If people cannot accept that, they should just stop reading. There are some points in a story when things are no longer able to happen, and each chapter that goes by, makes it harder for NH and SS to even have reason to go canon.
