All it took was for her to realize that Naruto was the one who complimented her forehead and not Sasuke? That would just make Sakura look easy.

Wouldn't be the first time Kishi has made it look easy.  Like i had mentioned on NF, look at how Kushina fell in love with Minato.  It wasn't that he rescued her but because he said she had beautiful hair.

It irritates me that Sakura confessed to Sasuke in front of Naruto and Naruto doesn't seem all that affected by it.  He had a slightly worried expression but that was about it. Nothing to conclude that he's feeling distress over Sakura proclaiming her love to another man right in front of his face. Even worse is that he looked like background during the entire scene. Kakashi had more to say than he did. ugh

why would he?  To him, she has always loved Sasuke.

I believe the whole point of the set-up is for Naruto to TNJ Sasuke and he will end up wanting to stay in the village (although judging from his dialogue in the movie he's still an kitten)

This isn't about forcing Sasuke into a relationship I dont think he cares about that, he just wants to bring Sasuke back to

 

1. Save him from darkness just like he did with everyone else

 

2. fulfill his promise to Sakura because he never goes back on his word

 

Really these reasons are more self-centered than anything tbh

so basically brings back the good Sasuke makes him fall in love with the person he loves fulfilling his promise.  Sakura accepts that love and lives on happily ever after even though it's with the man who's physically and mentally tortured her throughout the series while completely disregarding the person that was always there for her.  I don't really blame people who rather have Naruto find someone else then. 


Having said that, i think people are getting too caught up in Sakura's confession and are instead overlooking the fact that kishi is heavily demonstrating how negatively that love for Sasuke is affecting Sakura in this chapter.

 

 

If an Author plans on making a certain pairing canon at the end, they will generally mix in positives with the negatives, not just reash all the negatives especially at the end of their series since it's driving them in a corner.

The same way like in part one. Sakura will keep kittening running after him cause shes to dumb to get it, sasuke will still ignore her. Or naruto is not even going to bring him back. Mybe he just turns him good again and lets  him go his on way thats it

People are really over looking that this chapter was good for us.  

 

I only got one thing to say to Sakura's feelings when she wakes up. 

 

 

Yes, it may not be written the way we would prefer it to be, but honestly, as long as it gets done, I don't care.

Geez. When I translated that chapter the context was 99.999999% romantic love to Comraderie.......Without.A.Doubt.

But now we have this....

Yeah, I completely had faith in your (and Rikudo's, and Kaguya-hime's) translation/interpretation, and I still do, but Kishi did say in an interview that he likes to make dialogue confusing to the readers (something along those lines), so I don't think it's your fault.

You'd think Naruto would defend the woman he's in love with. Not against Sasuke though.

It's interesting though, all the Kakashi/Sakura interaction (including him defending her his chapter) we've had since the Alliance arrived to the main battlefield, especially lately... I wonder if that's Kishi trying to make up for the miniscule relationship and interaction they've had since the beginning of the series.

Naruto has to win this fight , and not just barely , he has to win at least in the same manner in which Hashirama defeated Madara ( once Hashi entered sage mode , it was over ) . And even though he seemed uncaring of what happened to Sakura , he did give me the impression that this time he is serious about this fight and is not going to back down .

I'll just wait and see what happens. We can either get confirmation of everyone's complaints or something unexpected but in a good way. For me it's a bit to early to tell. If worst case scenario happens, it might be executive meddling at work. But I'm not going to jump ship just yet. Perhaps Kishi might be setting up for some big argument between the two. If Sasuke is brought back, he might be a prisoner within the village he wanted to destroy. All I'm saying is that I'm just going to wait and see what happens.

To be honest, you guys are really looking at this all wrong. Kishimoto didn't ruined Sakura and her development. He ruined the ENTIRE MANGA STORY in just one chapter regressing everyone and everything to a time back when things were bad. Any pairing at this point would be so hard to believe whether it be NH, NS, or SS. The differences are in how much bull it would take to make it happen with NS being the least to make it bull.

Kishimoto took all of the development Sakura made throughout the manga and just threw it away. Didn't even care or make a blink and is constantly avoiding all the logical reasons why she should be over it by now.
Naruto is also seen a lovesick puppy over Sasuke and he doesn't shut up about it. Everyone else whether it be friend, love, etc is just second to him and always will be. It also makes him a god damn hypocrite and a liar. Didn't he say that the PoaL was no longer valid, now all of sudden it is again? What the hell? I don't even care that it is still active, but the fact that Kishi did a 180 and reversed it just when he said it is not longer about it is mind blowing.
Kakashi has turned into a senile old fool now who has no clue what the hell he is talking about and all the stuff he said earlier makes no sense.

Sasuke is the number 1 guy in this entire manga for little to no reason at all. Really, at this point, why wasn't the manga named Sasuke?
Sasuke is the ONLY one who looks good right now...and that's bad because he is supposed to be bad. He is supposed to be the bad things and his development is the only thing that looks good right now.

Ino looks like a weak tramp right now.
Hinata looks like a weak, selfish, pathetic girl who we know is not going to do anything anymore and is going to be behind the curtain because Naruto only cares about Sasuke when he is on the field
Karin looks just as pathetic as Sakura and Hinata and she has it even worse.

All the pairings? Forget it. Hardly anything will make sense IF this keeps up.

NaruSaku? You would need to make Naruto drop Sasuke, which he will never do, and you need to make Sakura drop Sasuke which Kishimoto is unwilling to do for whatever reason.
SasuSaku? You need to make Sasuke do a MASSIVE heel turn to make this even a possibility. MASSIVE. I mean so massive that it would have to break the laws of physics just even attempting it. Superman flying around the Earth to reverse time makes more sense than this.
NaruHina? Forget it, Naruto needs to make a heel turn and change who he is as a character in order for this one to occur. He needs to drop Sakura, drop Sasuke, and drop being Hokage for it and we know he is not going to do either one of those. And let's face it, if Kishimoto can't even make Sakura give up her love for Sasuke, how can he make Naruto give up his? It also would break the entire "never give up" concept he tried to establish with Naruto.
SasuKarin? I don't even need to say this one.

So much damage on a massive global scale throughout the story....so much damage in one little chapter....

I will says this. NS still has the highest chance, but it all depends on Kishimoto making that risk to change Sakura who she is. If Kishimoto doesn't have the guts to do it, then forget it no pairing will ever be canon because he will never change anyone.

I am not even thinking of NaruSaku right now. I am not even worried about it. I am more worried about the entire story at this point.

This chapter made no sense. Not one bit.
