What use to upset me was how Kishimoto recycling the same arguments and logic that NH and SS used during the debates upon the release of this movie.

There is no way I can believe that 2 years went in the development and he forgot to give Hinata's kid a byakugan? That's crazy!

You know NH and SS used to argue how NS was a guilted pairing because of Sai's words. Well kitten here you have the Kishi-NHSS-moto flat out saying that NH IS a guilty pitied induced pairing! As for SS, he didn't even bother to give it one romantic reason from Sasuke, not one. He literally drew SS together to clear the way for NH.

They were so desperate for the pairings that they don't care about quality, irony considering that quality over quantity used to be another NH's favorite choice of words for debates.

What a disgrace!

No matter what people say Naruto had no interest in Hinata. I just can't believe that Kikitten "always intended" Naruhina by having Naruto ignore her the entire series just to make it up with a big NH movie 15 years into the future. It makes no freaking sense.
I've only ever seen Hinata --> Naruto. That's all NH ever really was: just a poor lonely shy girl chasing after a boy who had no romantic interest in her. It's so out-of-character how devoted and impassioned he suddenly is for her in the movie and that's Kikitten's own fault for not adding Naruto --> Hinata hints earlier in the manga.
That's not postponing romance. That's completely neglecting it and expecting people to eat kitten with a movie at the end of the series.

Kishimoto not too long ago had Kiba tell  Hinata to use her Byakugan when Naruto's heart stopped but he forgot to pass Hinata's known eye skills on to her spawn? Kishimoto now wants the readers believe that part 1 and part 2 of the manga was a "NS red herring" so NH and SS to be a shocking ending? What a joke! The only pairing that eating this garbage up are NH and SS die hard fans.

You can ask anyone who ever read Naruto, "Who does Naruto like?" and they will answer, Sakura. Common knowledge is not a "red herring".

The level retcons for this movie to have an inkling of credibility is so ludicrous on a epic scale that to the Naruto fanbase it is asking a lot to believe in the premise and that's saying a lot considering it is a fictitious story to begin with.

I read a comment on Tumblr expressing why Naruto needed to be married to be happy.  Kishimoto and SP force Hinata to replace his most two important bonds in order for it to work.  However, Naruto's bonds were more important than any romance, and in his fight with Gaara the audience is shown how Naruto considers Team 7 to be his family, along with Iruka and Konohamaru.  However, in this movie, all his important bonds get sacrificed in order to be with Hinata, when Naruto in the manga-verse  wouldn't allow any of his connections to be cut.  I mean we're all aware of how he far he went for Sasuke, and we can argue how close they really were.  Why couldn't Kishimoto make an ending where a now Hokage Naruto is meeting Team 7 at Ichiraku, talking about old times and laughing together, like certain point plots pointed at.  Have Kakashi messing up both Naruto and Sasuke's hair with Sakura giggling in the center, and at the end, have a picture taken of that moment, which resembles their first photo, cementing Team 7's lifelong connection.  No one had to even be together in this ending, and it would have made more sense, yet all wasted for a side character.

This bad writing I expect from M Night Shamyalon.

Yes! Even my farmer ghetto cousin who doesn't watch anime knows that Naruto likes Sakura. XD. He believed they were going to end up together even though he also likes Naruto with the shy girl (Hinata). What a shock it'll be when I tell him what really happened lol. He said the reason he liked NS was because Sakura started off not liking Naruto but came to like him at the end.
So yeah Naruto having a crush on Sakura is basic anime knowledge. Anyone who tries to deny this are only lying to themselves lol.

Yeah this ending would be great! But instead what we got was the most important bond of the series being sacrificed for a stupid movie about Hinata

Movie still hasn't surpassed RTN, it made a lot of money due to fraud
The fandom in Japan didn't take this movie well and the manga sales also dropped a lot.The recent volume of Naruto isn't even in the top 50 best selling volumes

What were RTN's overall earnings while it was in theatres? Are they re-releasing it in theaters or is it just going to be a TV broadcast?

What kind of site did you see those manga sale numbers, was it Japanese?

It was at anime news network
RTN made 1.48 billion yen, the last is already at 1 billion if im not mistaken.
And yes RTN is scheduled to be broadcasted at TV in January

The fact that we have no data on the exact reasons for the manga experiencing a sales decline is still a big conundrum. Is it merely the byproduct of a series finally meeting its end and the consumers moving on to greener pastures? Naruto's popularity might be waning because of the controversy, but it's still, by and large, one of the most well known series in Japan.

you're right, and I think naruto is  the anime/manga with the highest number of fans around the world.if people are right and the last is already at 1 billion due to fraud that means it will exceed in time RTN but I think it will lose a lot more fans not only NS fans

The popularity was waning since the beginning of the war arc. Its not only the ending, Naruto's been suffering with this for quite a while
