Unfortunately, with the OP anime, since Toei knows that ratings for each episode will always be good/great....they don't put much effort into the adaptation like they did between e.g. Thriller Bark to MarinFord. So, the episodes are usually really mediocre (with a few hype moments here and there).
The earnings that Toei recieves from OP seems to be spent on the Merchandising or to boost other series .....(at least that's my assumption)
I kinda wish OP did fillers again....at least they're not as bad as Naruto Fillers
I think Toei came to a realisation that Fillers are a pain, true fans don't enjoy them, they can't contain anything worthwhile as they can't include anything that could conflict with the manga by mistake, so they came to the decision to just extend each chapter to one full episode, which leaves allot of blank spaces to fill in, specially recent chapters as they don'tappear to contain as much text as older chapters did.
There use to be a subgroup that cut out all the unimportant stuff and compacted the episode to just contain content from the manga, I think it they were called One Paced or something. they actually do a decent job and make the episode watchable.

I'm so done debating these Doflamingo fanboys like holy shit.
Stop cursing. Just because the filter is there doesn't mean you're allowed to do it.
And I really don't understand why people are acting like Doflamingo is stronger or something. Even if he is your favorite villain, he was scared of an emperor, and when faced with going up against gear fourth he didn't stand a chance. It took 1 move for Luffy to beat him, but obviously this is an anime so we had to wait 40 chapters for him to use it....

That's the weakness of weekly anime adaptation of weekly unfinished manga. It will catch up and it will has poor quality unlike anime with 24 episode per season.
At least this is not naruto who for some reason goes filler spree, even after the manga already end.
That's why that format is a dying breed, Naruto and One Piece are the only ones that run weekly, I guess Fairy Tail as well, The norm now is to cut them into 12/24 parters take a break and then continue 24 weeks later, if it's successful, if not it gets cancelled. We rarely see new animes that run the whole year round.
Naruto seems to be the only anime now that relys so heavily on fillers, dispite the manga being over, they still continue with fillers. I really don't understand the people who watch them. they are pointless, badly written and often contradict the manga content, pretty much suck all around.

There's Gintama, but that anime's future is always written in the stars... It always comes back, but no one knows for how long it goes on.

As long as it's not crammed up, I agree.I remember seeing a thread asking which anime do you prefer, a long running series or a short one. I would go with the short one.

I want a series with no time limit for short series. Like FMA B or HxH. Just end it when you need to end it.
That's honestly the best option for "long-running animes." At least, create an anime towards the end of the manga.

This "oh boy" is like "oh boy I cant wait!" or "oh boy they will screw this up" ?
Neither? It's more like "That gold cow is ready." I have nothing against it, but it is what it is.
