From the overall looks of things this movie will make some money but not some great amount. I just have this feeling that even though Sasuke is popular and is an easy cash grab of sorts by giving him more screen time, he will never truly be viewed as the hero by the majority of the fanbase. Naruto was their hero but his character was destroyed and a lot fans didn't like it. So even if they do try to elevate Sasuke or Boruto into the hero's mantle it just won't stick, not with the fans that grew up with this story. That's why I think they would have to draw a high number of new fans to offset the number of fans they lost. And I just don't feel that will happen.

 

Of course there will always be the diehard Sasuke and Hinata fans around. Along with the casual fans who are just entertained by the visuals and could care less about the story to help keep the Naruto franchise afloat. But I think that's all it will ever be, afloat. Just treading on top of the water. Making just enough money to keep going until they finally tire out and drown. Well, hopefully that's what happens.

So how the kitten is this Momoshiki someone Kaguya feared? I thought Kaguya was the original last bad guy before Toneri showed up, but I guess Kishimoto has to make sure the female characters are weaker then all the guys, so this is where this Momoshiki and Lurch come in.

I think it is impossible for them to draw in a large number of new fans let alone the numbers needed to replace the old fanbase for one simple reason. Naruto is too well known a series. By this point i doubt their a person in Japan that hasn't at least heard of Naruto. and in the US it "I used to be an fan of it till i got tired of it" or "I heard about it but it doesn't interest me cause i heard it was bad."

 

Also Sasuke Hinata and Bolt aren't really character that can hold up a series on their own and have always relied on other character to carry the story while soak up the popularity. Bolt is just crappier ripe off of Naruto and as far I heard no one has even said a nice thing about him that doesn't involve his parent are nH or something about sympathizing with him because of his kitten dad. Hinata plot has always been "I want to get strong so i can become Naruto waifu and carry his offspring" when SP is involved. Even if they go beyond the that she'll just be Naruto's bland beautiful perfect waifu. Sasuke as far as rivals go is pretty bland.

 

The only character that people like from this new generation in large numbers is Salad and what really sold her were her interactions with Naruto.

Guys remember TL had false advertisements and refuse of mass ticket refunds that allowed TL to surpassed RTN. It is still very fresh in the minds of the Japanese and they are ready for it.

 

Also, only a few went to the screening just to inform others of how it went and still didn't like it

From what I've heard so far, it has a so-so plot, SS romance, a complete change in the ninja system and values, daddy Orochimaru (who the hell mated with the 60 year old pedophile/traitor/mass-murderer?  ), and an ever-increasing amount of unanswered questions.

 

Yet this was the pinnacle of Kishi's work?

I've heard of this "the real End" theory too, but I think this term refers to the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are "dead" in this chapter, what would mean the world's end.

It would be cool If I'm not right.... but it seems more like this way.

Kishi keeps ruining Naruto even more. The story, plot etc etc of the movie make no sense. Are they realy that desperate for money to create things like this? And do they really expect this movie will be a bomb at box office?

Maybe if this was the movie that came out before TL. But know, I don't think so. Imo the movie will not flop. But it will not generate the amount of money SP and others were aiming for!

Btv Naruto who has large amount of chakra. Supernatural stamina. Full chakra from Kurama, other 8 bijuus and SOSP's chakra. Gets tired by doing manual labor of sitting on a chair!

It reminds me of those stupid fanfics where they make Jiraiya the sensei of team 7. And Jiraiya faints after summoning one toad!

This movie, TL, Gaiden, 699/700. Screams that it was done by a small child who never even heard of Naruto!

Edit:You know ... i always believe that good guy/hero always lose first but win at the end of the story but, this is the first time that naruto makes me think that evil, greed, popularity win over good quality story and character development. I am too naive after all who thinks good guy always win.

SP's obsession with Hinata blinded them from the truth as well as caution. When they took nH is the most popular pairing in the west fanbase rumor as truth and then assumed they would therefor be happy to pay for and support the ending they wanted. They convince everyone else this is the story would get them the big buck. Instead well you know.

If i were to guess Bolt movie was probably original just going to be about Bolt training for and taking the chunin exam in order to get his father's notice. In order to do that he asked Sasuke to take him as an apprentice and from there we go. But after all the negative reactions they been getting they kept editing it by adding it a new villain, adding more focus to Sasuke, and adding more action scene in general till eventually it became an action movie with a heavy Sasuke focus that take up much of the screen time.

 

So for the truth I think Kishi has got increasingly bitter over the months and if Bolt flops he may eventually just reveal the truth out right.

Could be, considering that from the looks of this early screening it really looks like a bunch of random scenes with no real connection with each other slapped together and then calling it a day.

As for the truth I still say he's bound by his contract for now. Remember that interview before The Last came out with that girl that asked him "With whom Naruto ended up with" and he said "I can't say, I'm bound by my contract." or something like that.

So I really doubt we're going to find out the truth anytime soon.
