Yeah. That's the point of my thoughts posts. I have been saying that Soma is saving the manga title.

Exactly!!! . I'm just waiting to see how it plays out and in what direction it will go , he might win he might lose or the Shokugeki might be interrupted (though I doubt this) , right now I wonder what's Ishiki's plan the guy is like a phantom .

and on that note does anyone notice how a lot of western fans are never able to be satisfied in regards to tsunderes? They call them b%#$&es or jerka*@es but if there is a reason or psychological reason that is quite valid on their part for how they behave, those same fans scream COP OUT in a half baked excuse to make them likable. Just what do these people want really? Okay I get it, tsunderes being physically Abusive is sexist especially if it's used for comedy EVERY single time but they do develop their characters, and just because you find out why they are like that doesn't mean you have to love them suddenly, it just means their character has more depth than just being jerks for no reason.You don't have to like them but you shouldn't complain like you're never satisfied with anything the writer does with such characters.

 

And with that Erina should also work on her social skills a bit more. Like i don't expect her to change completely into a completely meek and soft spoken girl, but I mean she should do something about her abuse towards others and just keep the criticisms.

Spoilers seem to have come out early this week, centers around Eizens history, which almost instantly makes me want to skip it.

 

Though it goes to show how manga has tuned my mind, just reading the part of the spoilers at the end where  Souma presents his dish first makes me think he's lost, I've seen this in so many manga's that I consider it instant death, like a charactor in movies or games saying he can't wait to see his family.

E10 9th Seat Eizan who is making a serious effort.

 

His motivation for entering the school: “because it will be lucrative.” Ｗithin a year of entering, he had made profits which topped the tuition fees paid by students that year.

Eizan who had just entered the school.

 

Eizan: “It is because many clients are not specialists in cooking. If solved without misunderstanding that, money will come in infinitely…”

Eizan has handled over 500 cases from Tootsuki’s connections. Different fields, different conditions. He solved all perfectly. This would not be possible had Eizan not possess a sense for countless genres of tastes and cuisines.

 

Possessing a cunningness which drive his opponents into a corner. Even though he almost never participates in shokugeki, his entry into E10 was unanimously accepted. That is due to the vast value he had brought to the school… The “Alquimista”(alchemist)

 

[end flashback]

Rindou: “Eizan is really amazing”

Soma: “of course I challenged him with that in mind”

 

Soma finishes his dish first. It goes to tasting.

Yeah this is gonna be a freaking asspull if Soma wins now, wtf was the author thinking really !?  If before this you could have argued that Soma is on the same level as E10 now that's out of the window and yet he's still made to look confident like he will *sigh*. Rule 1 : You just don't hype the other dude if you gonna make him lose in the end  that's some major BS aspull writing  . .

Ah yes we're back to the hopelessness now. Well I hope that soma does win cause I want Eizan's ego to be kicked down for being such a kitten and for making Soma's friends suffer for something that they were never involved in plus daring to attack said friends and trying to make his future wife(lol) go back to that that disgusting scum that can't be called a father.   But yeah it may very well end with a*^pull right now. Whatever though as long as the story progresses properly I won't be annoyed enough to complain and nitpick

Customer : Morning Soma!!! I'm here to pick up some breakfast!!! Oh, Nakiri-sama How wonderful to see you!!! Good morning!!!

 

Erina: Good morning. Please excuse me. *Heads upstairs* 

 

Soma: Do you want breakfast?

See...it's definitely flashback week at SWJ. Well Spoilers were slightly mistranslated, There is no mention of Eizen saving his family business at all, he was a arrogant prick from the very beginning. Also the end appear it was everyone else who was surprised by his dish, he doesn't appear to not have a plan just no battle strategy, his dish appears to be a surprise.

 

Soma going first does have me worried, but he has to win right? If he loses he is expelled unless that's the plan, have Soma go on a journey of self discovery and then come back and challenge the elites on his return, but if that was the plan, it makes his recent work experience arc kinda pointless.

 

Also him losing could have a real negative effect with fans, he lost in the final, he technically didn't win against Kuma and if he loses here, it would be three relevant Shokugeki's in a row against those around his level or higher in a row he didn't win. Where would that put him? Not good enough to challenge the Elites and already surpassed those around him, so no point in challenging them...I can only see him going on a journey of self discovery if he loses.

 

His previous losses or draws are meant to teach him something, I don't see what this would teach him,

It does explain why he was so pissed with the early arc with the whole business part. That is considered a lost.

Like Soma miraculously wins at the last minute for some unjustified reason when Everyone says they like Eizan's dish more. something along those lines.  It'd be even more satisfying if he beat Eizan fair and square I say. It'd be delicious even.

I'm totally confused. I don't know what you mean by that. Aren't they the same? What asspull you expect? Soma being a reincarnation? Soma has "that" technique? Is asspull like someone barge in and say Eizan uses steroid, therefore lose by default?

Just that things are things are not so rigged in Eizan's favor that it  seems impossible for Soma to win but he wins anyway. I want him to win because the judges genuinely liked cooking more, like you know what happened Kojiro though that is more justified cause they were facing a former Alumnus and an elite ten first seat to boot. But the point being I don't want there to be a "saving Grace" because of a change of heart or something like that. If Soma wins i want him to actually win through his cooking is what I mean.

What like "I beat you but I feel sorry for you. Soma is the winner!" It didn't stop before, why start now. I believe Soma will legitimately beat him and Elite 10 and Azami will be on their eyes on him.
