I feel that you (general you) have to read the manga like the devil reads the bible if this is the impression you get. Neji is lucky that Hinata forgave him in the first place: Neji tried to kill her once and Hinata never seemed to hold any grudges over that. Hinata's whole speech in ch 615 was about getting one's kitten together and not falling apart so Neji's death doesn't go wasted. How can you say that she didn't even think about Neji? Her whole speech was about respecting Neji's sacrifice enough to act insted of crying and moping and giving in to Obito.

Also, the girl crushes on Naruto for years. Of course she is going to be super happy when her man holds her hand.

But you'd think that Neji's death would be the thing that weights heavily on her mind, not noticing something trivial like how big and manly Naruto's hand is. Honestly, her love is really annoying.

I might agree if that "Naruto has manly hands" thought had been only thing Hinata was shown doing in this chapter. But she basically pulls Naruto back together by giving inspiring speech (and by doing this overcomes years of shyness and anxiety) and stands ready to fight against Obito and co. So as far as I'm concerned, she can also have one though about her crush without it being silly. Hinata rocks in this chapter.

Does that work retroactively? Someone call Sasuke.

She's not like Rin. But hey, maybe she's like Obito? The undying love and all that. I recall reading some NaruHina - MinaKushi parallel attempt where they said Naruto was like Kushina and Hinata like Minato

This is the real problem she's not like obito either because obito determination comes from his own and obito already confirmed that Naruto is like him.

Surprisingly, I agree with you. I can't blame Hinata for thinking what she did when Naruto held her hand (even though he's not her man). Plus, if her speech had anything to do with how much she loved him or her confession or anything other than what she'd actually said, then that would make her look extremely selfish. Which is why I don't get why some people claim that this moment made NH canon, considering that there doesn't seem to be any romantic intentions from either side even with the hand holding. It's a war. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I understand she has a creepy crush on Naruto. But seriously. NARUTO was more shaken up and distraught over Neji's death than Hinata. It's difficult to believe that Neji and Naruto were closer than Neji and Hinata were. She shed some tears for a few panels, then just stopped. She did look really distraught but next chapter comes and suddenly she got over it? Really?

This chapter only continues to prove that for Hinata:

I agree with this just the fact that Obito can use Nagato's revival jutsu is enough proof that Neji along with anyone else that might die in this arc, they can be brought back to life. You know Poison in your coffee, the way you've been replying it almost sound like you're afraid if Neji is revive why??? Why you should be afraid of that??? Not unless you might see Neji a threat to NH. I doubt it Neji has supported Hinata of her feelings for Naruto so it's unlikely he will be a threat to the pairing. Now if he is revive and if Hinata see him back, who knows if she will develop feelings for him (I will see this as maximum trolling from Kishi to finally put NH to rest). Just saying the way she looked when he died was enough to tell that she was truly hurt and devastated.

Neji dying would suck because characters should stay dead. This isn't Dragonball Z where death doesn't mean anything. I don't want another mass revival like we got in the Pain arc. That would suck....hard.

Considering the fact that she's potentially about to enter a fight that could easily kill her, I'd say that comment from her is simply ridiculous. I wouldn't go as far as to say she "rocks" like you do. I'd say she did pretty good. Idk, she's just so boring.

I realize this is a minor quibble with your basic point, but nevertheless there is an important distinction here: Naruto is not "her man." That sort of language implies ownership and territoriality, and at this point Hinata is entitled to neither.
