I'm not giving up, i'm just disappointed so far. This feels like reading a bad fanfiction. A really bad one.

Normally I think this is thrown around too causally, but it does smell that way. Even if it breaks NS...the plot sounds kinda cheesy. Like garden variety romantic comedy cheesy. Matthew Mcconaughey cheesy. The only thing interesting thing to me so far is that Hanabi might get some screen time.

I don't think Naruto and Sakura are dating in the last if Hinata is trying to have her feelings reach him. Ok so maybe that does mean he hasn't reciprocated. But by the end of the movie he very well could... Even if it goes against the fact that he loves Sakura.

But over a material object? If that's the case, why didn't he show more interest in her during the Chuunin exams, when she offered the ointment to him and he started to have a more positive attitude toward her? What about all the emotional/mental stuff he's had with Sakura, up to this point?

OK, how about this (in accordance with ElleluvsL's theory)

 

Naruto and Sakura are dating in The Last. At the start of the film, Sakura goes shopping for presents and runs into Hinata. The two catch up. We get a flashback of Hinata watching young Naruto (he had a red scarf). Since she has always wanted to knit him a scarf, she asks Sakura if it's okay if she gives the scarf to Naruto. Sakura, not at all threatened since Naruto worships the ground she walks on, is very friendly about. The scarf that once symbolised her love for Naruto becomes a means of closure for Hinata. Later that night  Ōtsutsuki Toneri attempts to kidnap Hinata. Naruto senses something off and goes to Hinata's rescue just in time to fend Toneri off. As a meteor comes crashing towards Konoha, Toneri kidnaps Hanabi and escapes. That's when the movie really begins as Kakashi tasks Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, Sai and Hinata with tracking down Toneri and rescuing Hanabi.

Trust me I agree with you. This is all coming out of no where. I'm now thinking Naruto wearing that scarf is him telling us he's accepting her feelings because it says she put her feelings in that scarf. Combine that with the fact there are no mentions of any other loves in this so called movie about love... Kishi what the hell? No Naruto loving Sakura or Sakura loving Sasuke is hinted at, at all. (I suppose the latter is good for us though xD)

I just want to know if NS are or are gonna be an item. I could care less about the overall plot.

I really hate romcoms, despite liking romance. They're just so poorly written!
