About the Hyuga marriage outside the clan.

It is a normal conclusion since they don't want to unveil the secrets of the Byakugan because that's why Hinata was captured when she was younger. For her ocular powers.

Marrying outside the clan would mean that those secrets will be unveiled.

 

But she was kidnapped because the Cloud nin wanted to cut her body apart.

 

I'm sure there are many good reasons why clans would not allow marriages outside of their clans, but until we actually get told by the manga, I personally think everything else is just speculation.

Because of the ocular jutsus. They weren't allowed to share the sectret. Marrying outside the clan meant jeopardizing the secret.

However Uzumakis and Senjus didn't had any secret ocular jutsus.

 

This is why they only allow marriage within the clan.

Yes, they wanted the secret of the Byakugan, which doesn't prove Hyuuga can't marry outside of their clan. At least, not more than the theory that Hyuugas can't leave the village.

Shouldn't such a drastic change to the familial structure of a long existing clan come from the consent of both parties? Could it really be referred to as "true change" if the people being impacted by this decision are not emotionally and physically supportive of it? That's one aspect of this problem that always irked me when Naruto claimed that he would reform the Hyuga Clan.

If this will be brought up in the manga again, I think they'll see the right with Naruto's claim. After all, having a division in a family isn't right, and they'll make peace with each other.

Marriage is a huge stretch because Neji never indicated that they can't get marry to anyone else or put a strong emphasis on it. The main point was that Neji was being crapped on because he's from the branch and his dad didn't get a fair share and such. It's more about the family, nothing about marriage will solve everything. This ain't GoT where you marry someone from high power, you gain it.

Oldest child in the main family = the only child considered part of the main family. This is why Neji's father, who is Hinata's father's slightly younger identical twin, is not considered a main family member.

Well Hashirama married a completely different clan. Uchiha seems like they married anyone that's not Uzumaki/Senju, knowing the illness is not negated. Hyuuga seems like family based marriage.
