Actually.... things got really bad because refunds where not allowed. So that's one of the reasons of why tickets where sold out on day one. They where basically cheated, specially the kakshi and sasuke fans.
 You may already know that but well... that's how it is. They couldnt advertise it as the truth "naruhina movie" so they went with deceptive marketing. Just like with Ironman 3.

That's the thing, had refunds been allowed I'm sure this movie would've tanked easy without a doubt.

Sad truth is that they used thee deceptive marketing before remember with Bonds how it was very Naruto and Sasuke heavy, and when the movie came out you only see him for like twenty minutes. RTN had the same thing because we thought we'd get to see everyones alternate personality throughout the movie. Granted we got the Konoha 11 for like may two or three scenes and that was it. The heavy hitters were Minato, Kushina, Tsunade (to some degree), Kakashi, and Guy (kinda). Even though they used deceptive marketing with Road to Ninja it was still one of the best Naruto movies that came out and it continued to well for Japan when it was in theaters.

I know people who've read the comics were disappointed with Iron Man 3, but I looked at both ways. From a movie stand point I thought Iron Man 3 was great. As a comic book fan I was like yeah you should've fixed things to fit the source material, but even then I still like it. I tried answering Ria's answer the other day about how a non-naruto fan would view this movie. After thinking about for a couple days, One basing it off as a non-naruto fan it would just be your typical Disney princess movie. You've got Hinata (princess) and you got Naruto (the prince) Something happens to the princess and the prince has to come in to save the day. Granted people kind of said the same thing about Tangled when it came out, but like Frozen, that movie has a moral message to it. It was about a girl that turned 18 and wanted to set out to see the world, and I'm sure a lot can connect with that. I mean it's like graduating high school and you're taking the first step to become the person you'll be for the rest of your life. You make your own decisions from this point forward, not your parents. That's another reason why the movie worked. Plus Tangled worked for me because Rapunzel had great on liners moments, Eugene too, and the horse can't forget about him. going back on track, basically Non-Naruto fans would probably be expecting a save the world type of story not a disney love story. Even as a disney love story it just wouldn't work because yet again there is no moral message to it. That's the key line, you gotta give me a message to make me care about this movie. To make me care about watching movie again like Road To Ninja and The Will of Fire.

No he is stupid author. NS made me refuse to see that.

I agree to disagree. My point stands still. His brilliance was displayed thoughout part 1. Too bad fame caught up with him and he had one task, to deliver and that was it.

I respect your opinion towards him and I can see why he might be stupid but...

Who gave you all this whole new and amazing world? The characters are beautiful etcetera

But in the end, he failed us. And that's why he is stupid...

His brilliant in part 1 is the product of many people, like his editor and his brother.

He is good author in introducing a world but failed really really hard to develop it.

And I respect your opinion too.

And kishi true power is drama.

Kishimoto has a lot of creative ideas, but his execution of said ideas is poor. Also, he fails to stick to a proper message, instead he keeps switching it throughout the story. Not to mention making something like Naruto and Sakura's closeness a red herring is downright incompetent writing. Don't even get me started on the handling of characters such as Sasuke and Obito (heck, even Naruto and Sakura were poorly handled).

In other words, he is a bad writer with good ideas. He needed a good editor/assistant to stop him from losing track.

Honestly WTF, THE SERIES WAS ABOUT AOUT PROVING YOUR WORTH, BEING ACKNOWLEDGED, BEING CONNECTED TO THIS WORLD, NOT BEING A PRISONER OF YOUR FATE AND PAST,  AND  BECOMING STRONGER AND SUCCEEDING (PEOPLE IN REAL ARE EVENTUALLY REWARDED FOR THEIR EFFORTS).

IF A FAILURE LIKE NARUTO CAN DO IT YOU CAN TOO ! THAT'S WHAT NARUTO REPRESENTED FOR THE OTHER CHARACTERS LIKE HINATA AND FOR ITS AUDIENCE

HINATA FANS TOLD ME  "ITS OK IF SHE IS NO LEADER CAUSE SHE NEVER HAD THE LOOKS OR POTENTIAL TO BE ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE". THEY UNDERSTOOD NOTHING ABOUT THE SERIES WAS ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THEY ARE THE ONES WHO DECIDED THE ENDING OF THE SERIES.

I DON'T HATE HINATA... ITS HER STUPID FANS AND KISHI GIVING UP ON HIS STORY AND LEARNING NOTHING FROM HIS DAYS HE STRUGGLED TO BECOME A MANGAKA WHEN EVERYONE TOLD HIM THAT HE COULD NOT.

Kishimoto kind of lost, but that doesn't mean we won.
I really don't want to rain on anyones parade, but really, no matter what Kishimoto will say, it doesn't change what has happened. A lost war is a lost war, no matter the circumstences of how it ended. The difference between a white flag and the battle till the last man fell only changes how the war itself is looked upon.
The damage is done.
Even if they decide to make a NaruSaku ending because the sales were so bad or Kishimoto get's on his knees begging for us to listen that he always wanted NS and was forced by those bad bad people to make NH, it won't undo the movie and the real ending. It's the same crap that JK did with Harry Potter. The Story was done, written and sold. End of it. They failed, and no matter how much they try to justify or repair it, the trust broken by the fans will never be undone. I for example will never in my life watch another creation of this man, and the story can be told 1000x better than Naruto.
I wouldn't care.

Yes....and No. You see, fanbses can and have forgiven mess ups in media before, but it takes a certain tact to pull it off. Take example Ang Lee's Hulk vs The Incredible Hulk. The Hulk was seen as a horrible movie and rightfully so, but when The Incredible Hulk came out people loved it and never thought about Ang Lee's Hulk again. The fanbase easily forgiven it when given a proper motivation. Now it may not be the same, but things can change for better audiences. Look at Evangelion and its ending and how that changed due to fan outcry.

In the end, fans will always be fans. If we truly didn't care we wouldn't be as mad as we are now, correct? Yeah, some fans may have been lost, but it is not impossible to salvage Naruto and make it better and proper.

Another problem is though is the fanbase has to be willing for a change up and there lies a huge problem. NH would NEVER accept it and b*tch how Kishimoto saved under pressure, but like they say "Why should we worry about the few? We should make the majority happy" or whatever. There is also the problem of some fans leaving the series forever and not taking anymore of it anyway. Unfortunately, that cannot be helped anymore.

It's no impossible, but admittedly it is really hard. Problem is, they have to really stop making things worse immediately and try and fix it. No interviews trying to "fix" it. Sometimes words only cheapen the effect. Better to display through action rather than words.

if it was me, I would redo the ending and not say anything. Then release the new ending. When people start to ask give them a clear speech with honesty saying: "I messed up and I know that. Saying I am sorry is not going to fix this either. I lost the trust of my fans...the people who should have come first. I deserve the hate they give me, but if they would give me a second chance I know I can do right again. I can't fix everything, but maybe I can at least attempt to make up for it. Better to try and fail than to not try at all. I just hope I can really do my series real justice and not hide behind fancy words and interviews. People expected a good story from me and I let them down. I cannot please every fan, but I can at least end my story correctly. So here is the real ending. The ending that should have been from the beginning. If nothing else, at least I can end my career trying to make it right."

Will it fix it? No...not completely, but it wouldn't be a bad start. You just to know how to go about it and someday some how people can and will forgive.

You know, I never tried comparing the movies with the comic books because I saw them as two separate universes. As long as it caught the spirit the comic book, then the story could be fine.

My biggest issue with Iron Man 3 was not that it didn't live up to the comics, but rather it didn't live up to it's own universe standards.

At the end of the day, it's all about making bank. That's all that matters. Unfortunately, this movie outselled RTN sales on its first day alone, thus they're already talking about making more crappy movies. The only thing we can do is refuse to support this movie and the ones that follow.

EDIT: Nevermind, that information was fake. There's still a chance we can send a message by boycotting this movie alone!

That I could work with, but my trust of Kishi really pulling that off... it's not there. The way he handles all the things now don't suggest he could pull himself out of this mess. I don't think he is capable of doing so.
If he would, and really pull of an astonishing stunt of redoing his ending, then maybe, maybe I could forgive him someday. But my trust is forever crumpled. He says one thing and does another. He tainted the series with it's ending, and yes, the 10 years I invested in this makes me still attached, but I resent that attachment.

Oh my... I've always felt most NaruHina fans liked Hinata to the point of not caring what Naruto wanted, but that's just sad. How can they really claim to like Hinata if they don't care about the fate of the Hyuga clan and/or her place in it? How can they really claim to be fans of the series and be satisfied with that for their supposedly favorite character?

Yeah that was one of my main complaints when it came to universe they established. Considering how they Loki with his powers in Thor and Thor 2, and in The Avengers. I mean it shouldn't have been that hard to pull of Mandarin and the ten makluan rings for the universe they've established. I may have forgotten, but did they explain why they went with that decision when it came to Iron Man 3?

What's also funny is how NH fans were boasting about how it topped RtN on the first night and to have that rug yanked from underneath their smelly feet is so comical to me. I don't care if if surpasses RtN but if it doesn't it'll be an added bonus. I truly hope it doesn't do all that well and the nights following the premiere are absolutely terrible in sales.

Yeah, plus they're just seeing it with pairing goggles, without thinking of the story. Kinda like how people here have said, it feels like some NH fans only want Hinata to be happy and give 2 sh*ts about Naruto's feelings and all.
