Most badass fight in DB and DBZ was Piccolo vs Goku in the tournament. 

 

That was the epitome of what a pure shounen is meant to be

 

It was also the first time Goku won a tournament if I'm not mistaken

For me at least, it was predictable what was going to happen, Tien eventually going to the good side and all

 

Piccolo at the time was a complete wildcard, he was a pure villain that was the legacy of the original Piccolo 

I couldn't see Piccolo going to the good side, but I was pleaseantly surprised when he fought for it in DBZ

shippuden gets promoted more than part 1. that doesn't mean it's better than part 1. in fact, the things i dislike about shippuden can be easily applied to dbz, like the support characters being forgotten.

 

Yeah, in DB they used actual martial arts, just like they used some actual ninja weapons and stuff in Part I. DBZ and Part II were all about big explosions and spamming the same moves over and over.

 

What are you talking about? The didn't forget support characters in DBZ.

They still remembered to kill Krillin and Yamacha whenever they could.

 

The side characters weren't forgotten, but the power escalation occurred so rapidly in DBZ that they were largely irrelevant as far as contributors to the individual battles.

Look at the bright side: at least by Buu Saga, we got like 4-5 Naruto/Sasuke exclusive instead of two in terms of who's willing to fight.

lol. i can't remember ever feeling real terror from any of the villains in dbz. but i damn sure remember the terror i felt when tao entered the show. i think he was the first villain that outclassed goku in every single way. and jfc, remember his transportation? it was a kittening pillar! it doesn't get more badass than that.
 

It's because arrogance was their chief calling card. It was their dominant personality trait, and dominant by a large margin. There was really no differentiation between the villains, something Naruto suffered from as well.

In Naruto, I only actually felt danger from two villains, Obito and Pain, and Pain less so when it was revealed that he was just an intermediary body between Nagato and Naruto, so it lacked a solid connection. Madara had no personal connection with Naruto, so he was a trash villain. As soon as he appeared, I was knew he was strong but I also knew he was going to eat kitten, so he never really concerned me. The same with DBZ. In terms of villains, OP and Bleach do a much better job for a couple reasons:

The backstories are better.
There's no inclination on the part of the villain to turn good out of nowhere.
Their character traits extend past arrogance bordering idiocy.

Ending to Dragon Ball as far as the manga goes:

 

 

 

A nice way to wrap up the story, and DBZ like I said before can be considered like an add on to the series. That's the difference between the Part 1 Naruto and Dragon Ball is that Naruto Part 1 ends off on a cliffhanger and Dragon Ball actually has a legitimate ending.

Despite the fact DBZ did go crazy or crazier than before, I still enjoyed it a lot. I think the fact characters are memorable helps a lot, hence Vegeta sticking around more than he needed to be. Plus, it did spawn Frieza, who now got a movie, despite being good or bad. He was cold blooded bastard.

Well Guys I still think and DBZ is far better than Naruto after all no kitteniing misleading the fans like Kishi who thinks its smart and a good idea, plus with the Buu Saga we got Gohan and Videl I mean I know for one they can both trash that kitten stain known as NaruHina.

Well, I don't have any problem with that.

In db, if a retired old martial art could destroy the moon, that mean main character and villain could do the same if not better. Planetary destroyer.

The same goes with other shonen manga, that include naruto.

I don't have that much of a problem, but it loses its fundamental and if you can really distinguish on your own, well, that's not going to go well. Like DB, it doesn't have a true established rule. Naruto did and it almost break every single one of them. That's why I said make it simple or get ready to be complained.
