Hey theres a difference between fans and having to do the material as it comes,
I mean Kate Higgins does the voice of Sakura, wait till she has to make Sakura say "I love you" to Naruto again and this time its honest and real
Just many people always go claiming Sakura is stupid, dumb, a *****, useless, etc. They go calling her a liar and traitor to the leaf from the reunion event.
Kishi figured he placed Sakura in a heroine position to try and remove a burden from Naruto, it was not the ideal thing but it was a good part on her character. Basically it came down to on her part, how can she make things better for Naruto at the cost of her own? Well the plan could have gone better and she could have been honest with Naruto but she still has the resolve to do something for Naruto due to her failure in the land of iron.
I find it just sad that so many people missed the point of the reunion of team 7 segment when it came to Sakura:
-She lied to Naruto and is a jerk, No she lied in an attempt to get him to safety, she was desperate and confused, the village was in ruins, Sasuke was a global jerk at this point, and the promise could have been a death sentence for Naruto, she did not want to do that to her best friend.
-She would have abandoned the leaf to join Sasuke,

No she said that stuff to Sasuke in an attempt to fool him to get close enough to stab him, she was set on killing him not joining him.
-Sakura is useless cause she failed to stop Sasuke

If she had stopped Sasuke, end of the story there, otherwise, how many other people cried and could not strike down a former comrade? Hiruzen and Orochimaru, Jiriaya and Nagato, Hashirama and Madara, there were so many people who could not bear this, Naruto will feel this when he faces Sasuke.
One thing people always forget when bashing a character is, they usually tend to hardly know the character actually themselves Sakura was made to represent human weakness, emotion is the biggest human weakness but its also what makes us complete. Sakura's development has been more mentally driven than physically. Sakura's love for Sasuke is a weakness and its in her development that she can get over it. One thing these fans never understand is how Sakura is tied to Naruto and Sasuke, basically her hopes and happiness stem from Naruto's efforts and determination and inspired her to become better, Sasuke however shows her own the despair and pain side, she loves him but cannot just let it go despite everything she sought in him, its hard for her to let go, she saw him as something big in the past but knows what he became with the revenge (still knows he is rage obsessed since the last meeting). Sakura's development is tied to Naruto and Sasuke but Sasuke is not tied to Sakura. The link between Sakura and Sasuke is one way from Sakura to Sasuke, not back. Sasuke is more around Naruto and Itachi. The deal with Sakura is, overcoming Sasuke, basically for her own development and just plain simple story reasons, yet haters rant going on that she can never change. Sakura was made to show human weakness, she is normal, she shows emotion,
but its her remaining needed development that will get her around this, maturity, when one matures that can handle their emotion and come to terms with what is really important, for Sakura that lies with her towards Naruto, her faith is in Naruto already, she has always pushed forward with him.The fans basically expect this to be the direct ending: Naruto brings Sasuke back, she does goes to him, no telling what happens, Naruto just goes to Hinata with hardly anything. So Naruto fulfilled a lifelong promise just to be a deliveryman for a girl who loved a talented/emotionless guy that no matter how bad he became or good he turned back, there is no granted outcome that the he would actually like the girl? They make it sound that Naruto just does this and then just moves on simply like that. The point is, they don't care or understand about Sakura's character like most of us. They just want Sakura out of the way so it can mean NH. SS is just damaging to Sasukes character too. It does not even change the fact that from the start, Sasuke had little to no correlation with Sakura so why should it start now this late?
Point is simple, Sakura and Naruto understand each other but Sakura has always been in the dark about Sasuke. Sasuke never even cared. It would really be an embarrassment for Sakura to have kept the crush the whole time, if kishi did this, it would be the biggest waste of potential development ever for any of his characters.
No matter how good Sasuke becomes, its near the end of the story, the love was not there in the start, why start now? It would just be wrong. The only love Sasuke needs is from Itachi that is all. Nothing Sasuke does from this point forward will change what happened in the past from their interaction.
This is why I see NaruSaku as the only real endpoint for Sakura, overcoming Sasuke, forgiving him, but turning to Naruto. There is just so much in the manga, to just turn to NH or not make Sakura turn from Sasuke or just revert, ugh makes me sick just thinking about it. NaruSaku is the developed one in the story. I believe NaruSaku will come, its all there. Sakura's end development, should it come full circle is loving Naruto in the end, opposite how she hated him first and knowing real love apart from ideal love. Hell the whole chapter 3 forehead compliment or Sakura confronting Naruto about why he loves her can come back. Its not hard to imagine Sakura may turn anytime between now and the final battle. There is so much that can happen and lead to it. NaruSaku is literally the only pairing that makes any sense. No amount of writing or plot twist no jutsu can change this. NH is just damage prone and SS just makes it a fanfiction. Just forsaking so much from the past years is really hard to imagine, so much development and interaction left at mere friendship for one which is hardly developed or just a plain joke.
NaruSaku is the only endgame I see, most of us here see. Its literally part of the story and Sakura is highly supportive, concerned, and trusting in Naruto, she does not love him yet but she does have close genuine feelings and Naruto is not the guy to just give up on her of all people, if anything he most likely already forgave her. He is not the type to stay angry. NaruSaku is not only the good development ending for Sakura, it does a lot for Naruto, team 7, and even the story. It fits and does it a lot of justice. I cannot see any other pairing doing that.
