Again, I don't think it's insulting to Sakura's character to have her adopt a child. The way those last few panels were written, it's possible Sasuke doesn't even know of Salada's existence. 

 

Chapters 699 and 700 were a confusing mess.  It's not unreasonable for us to try to make sense of what we see, when it's clear that only half the story was presented to us in 700.  Whether that was deliberate to make us go watch the movie, or because the half story was Kishi half-assing it, we won't know until the movie comes out.

 

If you disagree, I cannot change your mind, but this thread is for us to discuss it all the same. You don't have to stay here if you don't like what you're reading.

 

I mentioned it, but I'm getting some fantastic fanfiction ideas out of this thread, regardless.  If the NH/SS pairing comes about as predicted in the movie, I've got enough fodder to write a friggin novel about genjutsus and parallel universes.

Second, how would this thread's theory save the story? This theory doesn't touch the real problems of the story, it only deals with pairings that you cannot accept. It also puts everyone in a genjutsu, not giving a conclusion to the story. The manga is over.

 

Plus. you're pairing Hinata with Lee when they have not a single interaction and you're pairing Sasuke with Karin when he's completely disgusted by her. They are not Choji, to be paired off randomly. Hinata loves Naruto and Sasuke is loved by Sakura, while being disgusted by Karin. You are creating more problems than you are solving.

There is nothing in the manga that implies there wouldn't be influence from the father.

So what I wanna say is, you're not gonna understand anything about what everyone in this thread is analyzing if you're not gonna read all of it. The last 5 pages? I'm sorry, but that hardly covers anything anyone in here has talked about. Everyone here went through the chapters and analyzed everything they could brilliantly. It's amazing to read everything that these guys worked so hard to put together. As an English major, I can definitely say I am proud. I don't think it's right to read only 5 pages of that and disagree with their theories, when you don't even really know what they are.

Guys the answer is simple. Yes. Kishimoto is that horrible of a writer. I know I'm a rookie here, but I've been saying this since the end of the Pain Arc. His pacing is horrible, he sometimes has conflicting themes, (Bad guys should suffer a fate worse then death ala Hidan turned into "Who are we to judge?" with Sasuke not being punished for anything. Naruto hated Neji at first because Neji was a fatalist talking about destiny, so Naruto fights to prove the we make our lives for ourselves, later Naruto is the choosen one who must fullfil his destiny, and he can't escape that. I can go on here.) character development altering on a dime or regressing, ideas and powers being dropped once they are done (TenTen got some cool legendary weapons... why? Naruto's ability to pull a man back from death without scraficing himself is never dealt with again, and seemingly is there just so a cripped Gia can be in the final) plot progression is a joke, the tone shifts at a jaring rate, and now Kishimoto himself is saying "he can't do romance", yet finish the story by having romance be the main focus of the ending!

 

Kishimoto's end goal is cash. The designs you guys are talking about are worthy of laughing it, but it doesn't make a difference. He isn't that good of a story teller. About the only thing he excells at is setting up amazing premises. The execution though has been horrible.

obito reveal 2.0 and the reaction will be much worse. remember, kishi loves shock. ns is too obvious, so he has to throw us off first and what better way to do that than to bait the nh shippers into emptying their wallets to see the last movie. he's been milking the pairings for years and this will be his last chance to troll the fandom. he wants to go out in a bang, and i can't help but admire that level of trolling.
 
1st step:
find some way to make hinata relevant. since she's pairing fodder this movie will have to be about love. 
 
2nd step:
but every second of this movie can't be about love, so we have to have her cousin hanabi be kidnapped, even though we haven't seen her in the manga for years.
 
3rd step:
have her in a trailer screaming naruto's name as usual. that usually gets the shippers hyped up.
 
4th step:
market the crap out of hinata. like making hinata clocks, figurines and inserting her with team 7. 
 
and there you have it, folks. the best way into making nh definitively canon without any interaction. genius, right?

yes. the ending was BEYOND horrible it's hard to believe kishi himself wrote it.

but who knows, maybe kishi is on of the worst writers. LOL

The Movie will show narusaku. Its a ploy by kish and sp to make more money. Make people think it will show nh/ss,so  they will go see the movie, Then when it turns out to be NS we will go see the movie. So double the money.

Wow, that's pretty heartless marketing...

The fandom trolls deserve to be trolled by the marketing (I myself will neither troll them nor advocate that others do), but I don't think the entire NH/SS fanbase does.

A reason why I think these theories hold value, is because Kishi literally contradicted everything in his manga with the last few chapters. Everything. He botched the pairings, made Naruto give up, Sasuke never returned to the village and stayed, Sakura's development disappeared, random orgy fest in Konoha, too much technology, characters completely disregarded, and the fact that the story went from shounen to shoujo, is why I can't take this ending seriously. I might be forced to accept it, but I will never see how anything pointed to this outcome. Which is why, until the movie, I will hold the smallest amount of hope, that this really is the biggest troll known to man.

So what's the general consensus on the track's lyrics? Do the emotions correlate to tragedy and grief befalling Hinata's lovey-dovey tunnel vision? Or is the meaning still up in the air?

Kishi must have made 700 an OE to atleast keep his fans in suspense
