It seems a lot of you guys need a pick me up. Where's the unwavering support and faith!? I still believe even after reading some of these posts. Just let what the manga has presented over the years be what gives you your faith. The most logical couple is obvious so believe in the most logical. :)

Well i'm pretty sure that the NH and SS fans did get a slap to faces, but how was the NS fandom before and after the RTN.

Tumblr is a mess. That new update they did screwed over every single person that gifs and makes graphics on tumblr. I hate the way it looks now. Aside from the fandom chaos tumblr in general is chaotic right now.

The whole NaruHina ship doesn't make sense to me. Imagine if NaruSaku was a red herring all along...

haha yea. Unless the movie really is meant for people who didn't have to read manga... Then again why say it's connected to the manga and highly recommends to watch the movie after if that's the case? I don't think pairings will contradict each other. Kishi gave the ideas for this movie and designs, so if a pairing happens in the manga I think that's the pairing in this movie. If open ended in the manga then the movie may make a pairing canon?

Unless she's not trying to confess again but just try to put feelings in the scarf and give it to him but still doesn't look like NH is canon at the start of the movie. By the end of it though... I'm a bit cautious. Kishi outright said this movie is about romance. *vomit*

Naruto and Sakura are dating in The Last. At the start of the film, Sakura goes shopping for presents and runs into Hinata. The two catch up. We get a flashback of Hinata watching young Naruto (he had a red scarf). Since she has always wanted to knit him a scarf, she asks Sakura if it's okay if she gives the scarf to Naruto. Sakura, not at all threatened since Naruto worships the ground she walks on, is very friendly about. The scarf that once symbolised her love for Naruto becomes a means of closure for Hinata. Later that night  Ōtsutsuki Toneri attempts to kidnap Hinata. Naruto senses something off and goes to Hinata's rescue just in time to fend Toneri off. As a meteor comes crashing towards Konoha, Toneri kidnaps Hanabi and escapes. That's when the movie really begins as Kakashi tasks Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, Sai and Hinata with tracking down Toneri and rescuing Hanabi.

Okay, so let me bring this up because something pondered me.

So this movie takes place 2 years after the manga correct? You mean to tell me that Naruto has NOT answered Hinata's confession in all that time? No rejection. No, "Sorry, I am in love with Sakura." For 2 to about 3 years, Naruto has never gave Hinata any answer to her confession at all?

Why?

Is the answer not obvious?

 

I am kind of disappointed that it's not further in the future, like seven or eight years. That way he can shaft them both and ask Hanabi on a date.

It is kind of like bananas that of all the characters she's getting so much focus thus far. Like wtf. And we have a story about the Hyuugas... again... wtf. Maybe Naruto is gonna help make the Hyuga Clan right like he said he would in the manga but still... a whole damn movie with no filler damsel??

But what would make Naruto's feelings, which have been consistent for years, change so suddenly? We even had the tease about Sakura's beauty and Naruto.

All of this reminds me of the whole zutara vs kataang ship war...

It wasn't that bad. Naruto fandom is the worst I had seen, it's the loudest one. For example Magi is very popular, it beat Naruto in selling, but pairing stuff is so cool with everyone, like I say I ship alimor everyone's "cool they're cute, I ship hakumor!" like it's best fandom, you can reblog any pairings and no one will unfollow you and stuff xD

not necessarily. It sort of gives me hope given not too much has been said about her. So far she's a mysterious. At least it isn't confirmed that she's not interested in Naruto and she's pushing Hinata toward him. If that's the case I'm gonna puke. Lmao
