Indeed he is! Aogiri arc and the last arc are by far the best so far!!!

 

Couldn't agree more about that, I think the current arc in Re could end up on the same level as Aogiri tree, just thought I'd say it cause these last two chapters so far have been giving me that vibe.

It was a good episode, soooo what was Kaneki reason on joining Aogiri?....never was explained....lol I liked the action in this episode, glad it wasn't like the other fights lol

The battle!!

Well the episode started with the investigates and there testamentary note. Mado was visiting Touko Harima’s grave. Kasuka’s death flashback was also there.

Damn the MakoAkira kiss scene

CCG are going after the café. So Devil ape, Black dog and the Owl vs. CGG.   

Tsukiyama and Nishiki!          

And the fact that both Kaneki and Touka are going back to Anteiku.

Today's episode: 8.5 out of 10

The animation- meh, like always. SP better step the game up soon.

I feel for Takizawa. His breakdown was well animated in my eyes.

Izumi and Koma! For some reason, this episode made me care about them a lot more.

I cannot believe that Touka is coming to Anteiku. Literally one of the biggest changes b/w Anime and Manga in my eyes. This can only mean that she will meet Kaneki one more time.

... So will we ever find out why Kaneki joined Aogiri?

EDIT: Btw, I think Touka's voice actress did an extremely good job this time.

So we all know that Touka is not supposed to be there at the Anteiku Raid. I just read a comment from one of the youtubers, and what he says makes actually sense

This was the first promotional picture for :re. That person predicted that it is actually Touka he is holding in his arms. What do you think? What's the possibility that Touka will die? Now that I reflect back at that Touka scene, I feel like her contemplating about the people in her life... set up a deathflag for her. The reason why I believe Touka might die is b/c there will be no season 3 for sure if Touka dies. Like, :re ain't gonna make sense w/out Touka. Ishida purposely creates an ending that will allow a true adaptation in the future.

Hopefully you read this before you get there, but I wouldn't do it just on 71. If you blog about it, I would do so on 70-75ish, as the entire stretch is built from a singular moment in chapter 71. The moment is fantastic, but it also causes a great situation. Or blog about both lol

I maybe already mentioned this, but since Tokyo Ghoul only lasted 14 volumes, do you guys think that that Re would also last the same amount of volumes?

I know it's hard to tell since re is still technically somewhat in the beginning.

I really believe this is foreshadowing. RE will have 206 - the number of bones in the human body- (or 103- reference to half kill ) chapters
