And of course, Tai is the closest to try to catch her. Pfff, at this point Meiko is just your typical moe/fan service character, especially if she actually ends up with him.

I somewhat interested in who is writing these movies, and if any of the writers are girls. I kind of want to see what they look like because I think Meiko existence will be completely clear after that (self-insert character.) 

 

Yeah, we knew, but that doesn't excuse this mess. I don't ship them either, but at least Mimi and Izzi have known each other since they were kids and had tons of hints since the first movie. This Meichi came out of nowhere. 

 

Sora was the tomboy and Mimi was the fanservice moe character, but they changed in 02/Tri. With Sora being more girly and Mimi being sassier. Like Bail said before, Meiko is just bland/cute/shy/weak and is used just for drama/ship. 

Izzi, and Mimi are fine to be honest. I rather a scene focus on them then another about Meiko.

It's just really sad they had to put a new girl just to be Tai's consolation prize. What's wrong with him being alone? And why do we have a shipping fest to begin with? Digimon was more about adventures and... I don't know... Digimons? Not some forced drama about teenagers and their feelings xD Nothing wrong with that if you know how to put it AND if it doesn't take that long, but this is just plain boring. Meiko has no reason to exist, seriously. Put Meicoomon on it's own or with a male digi-destined and there would be no difference at all (plot wise talking)

Yup, but some real drama, not just "I'm so mad at you, crush!"/"I feel so sad, help me, crush".

You're right. And if that consolation prize was going to be so important, at least they should've used an interesting girl, not a weak damsel in distress who is there to be pitied by Taichi/Fans.

Like The Last; either this is Otakus' dreaming up their ideal moe girl like hinata, or some girl that dreamed of being Taichi's girl add her insert character as a major part of the story.

If we compare the Last and Tri on nh and Meichi at least in Tri we have a general plot ( that still we do not know )unlike the last was more focus in make nh canon even the meichi will end in good terms like they won't do fall in love those just because the moments the have, but just in process.

I think we won't have that because even those two doesn't have that kind of feelings, the Meichi (if they decide to do it) will be canon out the story.

Hinting at pairings is very possible at the end. Less affect, but still damage if it will be an obvious hint.
