Well Sakura appears to be the only logical person who is married to Naruto at this moment in the movie so we know that NS will likely become canon at some point before she is shown in the ads or before the film is released.

Whether or not she's pregnant or already given birth to Shinachiku we'll have to wait and see. I actually hope she's pregnant in the movie it bring summon forth so many feels.

We don't know if she's pregnant or not though the towel cloth is in the way, who knows maybe Kishi originally didnt intend her to be pregnant but lots of people talkin about it might get him to think about going with it its very slim chance and unlikely but I can dream.

As far as things are for now, it's not given if it's filler or not, this could all go back and in turn become a Dragonball Gt type story based in the events if the manga.

Otherwise as it's the start of a new generation project, well perhaps it's not going to give anything away from the ending if the manga, maybe all new events without confliction to the current manga events?

Seriously it's just to me, I remain skeptical of this, it's very very hard to imagine that by December, the stuff up to naruto and sasukes battle will be left in just as like either delayed or a shortened immediate fight, I mean even my ns shipping side is saying, the stuff obito told sakura with naruto stumbling or the 631 and 663 stuff, well that has to be answered. Even that stuff with sasukes real plan, how the hell is it going to be addressed or occur when it's in the situation to start happening in the part now? I mean we have been getting about 45 chapters a year on average, with the holiday breaks like the coming one in August and the future stuff in winter, well I do not see how everything will be complete in a presumed 18 chapters, I mean think about that, 18 chapters? Yeah that's impossible just outright freaking impossible.

Among from kagyua being sealed in this time as the only foreseeable event, I don't think it's going to make a good ending to just end the genjutsu and team 7 just moves on for there with a to be continued deal. Literally that's just like, seriously Kishi? Seriously? Not addressing the aftermath? No victory scene? No deal with how the allaince reacted to Sasuke? What about the tailed beasts? Seriously there is so much crap left there, how can anyone expect this stuff to be answered in just 18 possible chapters give or take 2 or 3 extra ones?

Unless these chapters are either 3 times as long each or the manga is going into 2015 as expected, it's really strange to just have a sudden ending then Kishi is done leaving the future of this expanding new generation to studio perriot and as atheck was concerned, yes that "loophole" would be the timeskip to just mess around to a degree of the manga canon to what they themselves did with the anime, doing stuff like the ep 166 crap, giving hinata the healing palm technique in the chikara arc, or when Sasuke was given absurd powers beyond what Kishi originally gave him, stuff like that, then yes this loophole is just a deal to do more and otherwise well to some they will see it as an excuse to get what they hoped to see despite the manga never having time for it originally. It's like even in one sense there has to at least be something you would expect from the heroes like naruto learned a lot, sasuke did too, despite his constant turn face heels, so shouldn't sakura get some resolution, not some open ended ness as it would be right now, like seriously am I the only one wondering how the words obito said to her may come forward? What about kabutos future I mean surely his reason for coming back is worthy of more attention as well. Also taka, not the most major group but something should be done with them aside from supporting Sasuke for hokage.

Yeah even then I never even heard if a series that would give the ending away so soon and so fast while the main series was still running.

This is why I am not jumping to call this movie "canon" only seeing naruto and seeing it as the start of a new generation or connection project, well obviously what is it that is being connected? Otherwise is naruto even hokage? That was not answered, all we know is that he is taller, who else is present also needs to be answered like if Sasuke is back then what happened during the timeskip? We know sakura is there, but sasukes in or out if the village remains to be seen.

To me, I only see this as an extension, not canon yet, otherwise it's just Dragonball gt but with a movie for now. Until we get more info, we need to wait and see what lies ahead because as if now, things don't add up, so little time left this year, so much left to address, not even a timeskip getting to answer these makes much sense. Otherwise even just concluding the manga and saying watch the movie, well that puts those outside japan in a waiting list to see what happens next now doesn't it? About 8 months to 2 years before the rest if the world can know the ending to everything.

This is why so many things don't add up, I literally don't see this stuff of constant other manga events just crashing into a huge delay and only get answered in the coming new generation project which in other ways could just contradict itself at some pints with what we have seen in the manga so long before. Even given the experience if how SP again has gone around the manga, it's just many times come into conflict with the manga when it shouldn't, they obviously fixed these later on like when naruto met utakata in the fillers rather than the manga, hence that filler with him meeting edo utakata in his mind was made to patch up the plot hole. But yeah again given SP's track record there is a fair degree if things that could go wrong, I mean most fillers kept things on track, no confliction with the canon but others were just, conflictive or not needed, ep 166 being the worst case of just pointlessness. Hell it's contradictory to have naruto go loving hinata when even as far as the anime is concerned, ep 235 still going in with him loving sakura, to change what exists already is just using the timeskip of the new movie, it's nothing more than again, an excuse for those leading it past Kishi to just do what they want with it now.

Literally this is how I see the movie for now:
It's an extension, not spoiling anything in the movie, it's more if a setup for the new generation
It's not said to be going by manga, in otherwords if it's a pure anime extension like Dragonball gt it could be called filler
This all also depends in the manga, it's unlikely the manga is ending in such a short amount of time and for all the other events that remain to be explained, it is highly unlikely that either all are explained in the remaining chapters this year or given some focus in the movie which even itself has a plot and time limit to explain stuff.

This movie is otherwise as i an presuming, is a setup for the new stuff, not a deal to show how the manga ends, it cannot spoil anything and otherwise again just so much seems off with this type of display, seal kagyua, break the genjutsu, then end the manga? Go to the movies? That's just well strange, I mean all the other questions left unanswered? When you put it like that, it doesn't add up and makes little to no sense and if it did go that way, it leaves the audience utterly confused until they see how the movie was actually done and what it addresses.

The only thing plot wise that cannot be spoiled is naruto being hokage, we all know this would happen, we all know he will succeed. But for anything else, to be revealed in this movie while the manga will most likely still be running in 2015, I can only say again there's a lot of confliction and it doesn't make sense in this context. I mean kishis writing has been out into question but geez 18 about chapters to end it all? No way.

That's why for now, I'm taking this as noncanon and otherwise just an extensive setup for all events beyond the Kayuga events now to the end of the manga that otherwise cannot go spoiling everything. As I see it, it's the present of the manga to the end it should have which should be more than just 18 mere chapters, to once that manga ends, then the setup for the new generation event comes. Until then, this makes more sense then how it's put with what limited info we know. For now, to me it's non canon due to all events not being practical or addressed reasonably within only 18 chapters and otherwise answered in the movie in just 100 or so mere minutes.

The sketched girl is obviously, older probably 18 or 19 and her hair has obviously grown. Why would Kishi draw a minor character who isn't important to the story? The NH fandom are now looking too much on the little details claiming its Hinata and that she's pregnant with Naruto's child I just facepalmed. Whether the movie is canon or AU I see no reason to be focusing so much on characters that aren't the main cast. Kishi can pull a RTN and show the rookies as fodder who appeared briefly not getting any major roles in the movie.

I remember how Nh fans flipped at Hinata having no clothing covering her midsection and thought it meant something because naruto had his jacket open...

Yeah even as minor as that sketch of the girl is, I am not going to be looking at this stuff till more comes up, no doubt its just absurd how some people even think that its either a pregnant sakura or hinata? That speaks all kinda wrong right now. Maybe it could be sakura with longer hair again, or kushina in some flashback? Whatever the case, people are making way way way too huge a deal over a sketch with the person we cannot even see. I mean geez, we at least know sakura is in the movie for obvious reasons but you know how it is in this fandom, we get info, we are either excited, confused, or worried at some prospect, then that changes as more info comes out, then we get our end result and look we thought SP would go overboard with 615 in the anime but it was kept to what it had to be got done and over and its fine now. NS is still fine and in the lead, but geez, I am not going to be paying attention to this movie, only wait for more info on it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. There is still a plethora of subplots, character conflicts, and the falling action after this climactic battle with the evil architect to address before the manga can reasonably move forward.

Apart from what you already mentioned, Orochimaru continues to gather in strength while covertly hiding in the shadows as the people around him fight to preserve the world as they know it. He's a longstanding antagonist with a personal stake in the lives of Team 7's members. A character such as Orochimaru deserves an entire arc to himself to address his motives and provide him with resolution. That alone would require several volumes, at least (assuming it's extensive like the Sasuke Retrieval or Sasuke and Sai arcs). It would be impossible to try and compress that into less than two volumes in some half-assed jumbled mess with Kaguya, Madara, and whoever else with an unfinished subplot.
