That's just unrealistic (ignoring the fire-breathing and wind swords and all that.) It's an implausible turn-around time most commonly associated with YAOI fics.

Hah. Nice crack on yaoi fics. Oh and great fics. I like how you give sakura all those faults. It's more interesting when characters aren't so perfect.

I've always thought that as well. I especially like it when despite the character's strength and prowess, they're still just people. Sasuke makes the wrong choice, Naruto stumbles on his path, Sakura is fickle, Itachi's verifiably insane, so on and so forth. Those moments of weakness in otherwise unassailable characters are defining instances of humanity. Falling down, failing, these are things we associate with being human. Nothing I've ever written has come out as well as it should have, or as well as I wanted it.

I also like to see some characters fall completely or die off. Bad things happen to everyone, it's just a matter of time. So when Sasuke goes mad, or Neji kills again without hesitation, or Sakura has a crisis of faith I think that makes them even more human than the idealized versions given to us by the manga and anime.

Anyway. Thanks. I'll keep it up. Winter Vacation is coming soon.

I agree with XTC and Geno, characters are so much more interesting when they have some flaws and depth to them. It can be hard to weave additional depth into the characters when you also want to push the storyline on, so there is a balancing act there.

I think Sakura's feelings are somewhat realistic in the fic, since her old and new feelings are clashing. When someone suddenly comes back into your life after you got used to their not being around, memories and emotions can tend to come crashing back in.

I liked the personalities of the characters, they're nicely matured and I smiled at Kakashi's reaction to being asked for advice, hehe.
