Week Seven Results:

Sparky McRandomsons 105
Rochester Bulls 56
Box Score
-Not much to say. Hooray bye!

Dark Adepts 79
Tokyo Raiders 151
Box Score
-As Tony Romo goes, so goes roninmedia. Last week went really well for both of them, with everyone except for Mario Manningham and Dustin Keller reaching double digits.

Konoha Shinobi 71
The Generals 111
Box Score
-This went as expected, even the 20 Sir Whirly left on the bench (Ryan Grant) wouldn't have saved him.

Sas-gay =] (The Team Formerly Known As Knuckleheaded Ninjas) 58
Scorehappy3 58
Box Score
-Um, I still don't know what happened here. Injuries, a Philly Pick Six... um, yeah.

Gama Warriors 108
Zatties! 92
Box Score
-Steve Breaston, Mike Wallace, Lee Evans. If you have told me going into Sunday that Steve Breaston (with a banged up Anquan Boldin) would be the lowest scoring of the three, I would've laughed in your face. Oops. Well played, Nee-sama. I've got our Week 12 matchup circled already (along with Week 10 at The Generals).

True Miracles 111
Bailoutpackage4lyfe 130
Box Score
-DeSean Jackson saved me too, in a different Fantasy Football League. Definitely lived up to its Game of the Week billing.

This week's picks: 4-1-1
Season to date (3 weeks): 11-6-1

Week Seven Standings:

1. Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0) 6-1-0 695 points scored
2. The Generals (Nuclean Raven) 4-2-1 774
3. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) 4-3-0 736
4. True Miracles (True) 4-3-0 733
5. Bailoutpackage4lyfe (Illmatic) 4-3-0 665
6. Dark Adepts (Burning_Wulf) 4-3-0 589
7. Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) 3-3-1 733
8. Sas-gay =] (Mik3) 3-3-1 599
9. Zatties! (Zatren6) 3-4-0 675
10. Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly) 3-4-0 620
11. Rochester Bulls (CPUEd) 2-5-0 544
12. Scorehappy3 (Anewhope2) 0-6-1 515

Avoiding the dreaded double-post....

Week Seven Previews:

Sas-Gay =] (3-3-1) at The Generals (4-2-1) (Matchup)
The Generals favored by 11.

-The Generals have been on a roll ever since week four's egg against True, breaking 100 the last three weeks. Even with a player on bye, the matchups just don't look good for the Commish. Nuclear Raven runs his win streak to four.

Dark Adepts (4-3) at Gama Warriors (3-3-1) (Matchup)
Gama Warriors favored by 14.

-Nee-sama continues to work magic with the Warriors' complement of second-tier receivers. The powerful tandem of MJD and Frank Gore was already impressive, and when it's conceivable that Andre Johnson is your low-scoring WR for the week? Nee-sama breaks .500 and gets closer to where her record should be.

Konoha Shinobi (3-4) at Tokyo Raiders (4-3) (Matchup)
Tokyo Raiders favored by 9.

-Welcome back to fantasy relevance, Steve Slaton and Tony Romo! roninmedia's missed you so much! As much as I hate to say it, I expect Romo to continue firing against my Seahawks' banged up secondary - even the possibility of Marcus Trufant returning won't solve their issues. DeAngelo Williams may have a tough day, but Marques Colston will make up for that. Pirates are better than Ninja this week.

True Miracles (4-3) at Zatties! (3-4) (Matchup)
True Miracles favored by 10.

-Ride that Wildcat, Z! Brees and the Dolphin twins try and sneak a win against a Brady-less Miracles team. Will they do it? Eh, a lot depends on Hasslebeck and the Seahawks O-line holding up. You'd think that in a gut call like this one is for me I'd be a homer and think Hasslebeck has a good day, but I'm going with the Zatties! in a close one. Manningham out (and Nicks therefore having a bigger role) is the clincher for me.

Rochester Bulls (2-5) at Scorehappy3 (0-6-1) (Matchup)
Scorehappy3 favored by 10.

-...Eh, whatever. Is someone actually gonna pay attention to their roster here? Scorehappy has less players on bye and Chicago has the horrible Browns today. They win.

Sparky McRandomsons (6-1) at Bailoutpackage4lyfe (4-3) (Matchup)
Sparky McRandomsons favored by 37.

-I don't know why I bothered to put the line, Illmatic has 3 players on bye he can replace. I'll pick myself in a close game, but I'd feel much better if he slept in until 2 minutes after game time. wink.gif

Week Eight Results:

Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0) 124
Bailoutpackage4lyfe (Illmatic) 97
(Box score)

-Viva Chris Johnson! I wasn't ecstatic to draft him (I tend to prefer slightly more steady players), but I have to admit he's bailed me out in two separate weeks now.

Dark Adepts (Burning_Wulf) 90
Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) 126
(Box Score)

-The Warriors stay on their roll with Rodgers, MJD, and an opportunistic Saints D leading the way. Nee-sama is sitting just a half game out of the playoff picture with excellent tiebreakers.

Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly) 68
Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) 89
(Box Score)

-Even a couple of negative point players on the Raiders' squad couldn't bring Sir Whirly within reach. Not removing Calvin Johnson (inactive) from his lineup didn't help, but it's more and more obvious that as Arizona goes, so goes the Shinobi. The Cardinals laid an egg, therefore....

Sas-Gay =] (Mik3) 86
The Generals (Nuclear Raven) 114
(Box Score)

-Even a strained groin couldn't stop Reggie Wayne from getting 12 catches for 147 yards and a TD. This one pretty much went as expected.

Rochester Bulls (CPU Ed) 65
Scorehappy3 (CPU? Anewhope2) 72
(Box Score)

-So now we don't have a winless team.

True Miracles (True) 98
Zatties! (Zatren6) 53
(Box Score)

-Um, wow. Faceplant much? At least Drew Brees added some points to make it now a total disaster... yeesh.

This week's picks: 5-1
Season to date (4 weeks): 16-7-1

Standings after Week Eight:

1. Sparky McRandomsons 7-1-0 .875 819 points scored W-4 streak

Yay for replies! Now I don't have to edit to avoid a quadruple post or something!

Week Nine Results:

Sparky McRandomsons 98
Scorehappy3 90
Box Score

-Uncomfortably closer than it should have been. Gee, thanks Cutler and Olsen! >_>

Dark Adepts 107
True Miracles 105
Box Score

-True, you have only Kyle Orton to blame for that loss.

Konoha Shinobi 110
Gama Warriors 142
Box Score

-And the Nee-sama juggernaut keeps on rolling. Only John Carlson didn't get double digits for her.

Sas-gay =] 118
Tokyo Raiders 106
Box Score

-Monday Night was very good to the Commish, with both Mendenhall and Denver's D managing to both put up big points for him. At least this one isn't Tony Romo's fault.

Rochester Bulls 87
The Generals 58
Box Score

-A loss Nuclear Raven planned for at the beginning of the year, but that was also before Ed decided to, you know, not play. This might come back and bite him in the keister when the playoffs roll around, but I doubt it.

TIME FOR A COMEZAT 80
Bailoutpackage4lyfe 80
Box Score

-I'm not sure if I'd prefer fractional points because it would prevent all these ties, or if this is better because LOLTies.

Standings After Week Nine:
Note: Number following record is total points scored, which acts as first tiebreaker. After that is current streak (W-1 = Won last game, L-2 = Lost last two, etc.)

1. Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0) 8-1-0 917 W-5
2. Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) 5-3-1 1001 W-3
3. The Generals (Nuclear Raven) 5-3-1 946 L-1
4. True Miracles (True) 5-4-0 936 L-1
5. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) 5-4-0 931 L-1
6. Dark Adepts (Burning_wulf) 5-4-0 786 W-1
7. Bailoutpackage4lyfe (Illmatic) 4-4-1 842 T-1
8. Sas-gay =] (Mik3) 4-4-1 803 W-1
9. TIME FOR A COMEZAT (Zatren6) 3-5-1 808 T-1
10. Konoha Shinobi (Sir Whirly) 3-6-0 798 L-3
11. Rochester Bulls (CPU Ed) 3-6-0 696 W-1
12. Scorehappy3 (CPU? Anewhope2) 1-7-1 675 L-1

After 14 games, Top 4 teams make the playoffs.

Yup. It WAS going to go to Nuclear Raven (121 points in a loss), but you can't debate the cringeworthiness of the MJD kneeldown from a fantasy perspective. At least it was for a tactically sound reason and not a DeSean Jackson WTF? moment. For whatever that's worth.

Week Ten Results:

Sparky McRandomsons 125
The Generals 121
(Box Score)

-So the IND/NE game being a shootout was my worst fear, but at least Randy got his. It was just enough so that as long as Flacco didn't break his arm 2 minutes into the Monday Night game I was good.

Oh, and VIVA Chris Johnson!

Dark Adepts 105
TIME FOR A COMEZAT 111
(Box Score)

-Burning_Wulf had some real gems here, but this game proved that several 11-16 point players will beat a few 20+ point players.

Konoha Shinobi 78
True Miracles 101
(Box Score)

-Just so you know, the Shinobi were leading by seven going into Monday Night. He was going to lose anyway, but it was supposed to be a closer game than this. Sir Whirly has to be frustrated with his team, his WR corps is a mess right now.

Sas-gay =] 107
Gama Warriors 106
(Box Score)

-Google up "MJD kneeldown." The Commish needed this one BAD.

Rochester Bulls 92
Tokyo Raiders 73
(Box Score)

[i]-You see? YOU SEE WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED IF YOU DECIDED TO KEEP PLAYING ED?! On another note, I don't think I've ever seen a WR get -3 before. Sorry, roninmedia.

Standings After Week 10
Week 10 shook up the standings quite a bit! With four weeks left in the regular season we have 4 (!) teams with the same record fighting over those final 2 spots, and True is only a half game ahead of them. Even Ed's CPU team is not (mathematically) eliminated....
