That was very entertaining. Derock I'm impressed with your use of Chun-Li and Smiter looks pretty good with Cammy as well. I myself am trying to get better with Fei Long. Traditionally I'm a Guile player but still saving up to get a Hori stick. Cant execute my combos as efficiently with the controller. If anyone wants to play on PS3 my PSN id is racerxdsr.

Thanks for the video!

Hope to see more vids in the future.

By the way, it was a 10-hit combo, not 12-13. tongue.gif

It was supposed to be a maximum of 12-13 hits, as I explained in this post here. But the hits only occurs when I trapped you near the wall. tongue.gif

At first, I was shocked about using Chun-Li when I first executed the combo during Training. As I explained before, charged special and super moves are a pain in a neck for me as I played the series in the past, especially using characters like Chun-Li and Guile. Although Chun-Li has a mix-up of charge and circular motion moves in other games (perfect examples are her moves in 3: 3rd Strike, EX series, and Vs. series). But then I was testing some of her moves until I was messing around one of her Normal trials and this combo came as a result.

I need to rework on Cammy for a bit before the tournament. And I'm about fair-playing as Fei-Long (I won against Smiter on the other match to prove it tongue.gif )

You and me both. XD; I didn't have a good day online yesterday against Bryon and Derock.

It showed as 2 bars out of 5. happy.gif It was the same against Bryon, and True normally shows as 3/5.

I've been practising as Cammy, and I'm worn out now. XD; I worked on using her Super/Ultra as part of combos, and some of her cancel combos. However, I'm having a hard time finding information on Cammy's cross-ups. I think it's just her jumping light kick?

Wow those are some really well done videos Smiter, they look as clear as possible biggrin.gif

But why does everyone have to use Cammy? She's the vain of my street fighter existence sad.gif I really hate those kicks....

I've been improving with Sakura and getting her combos down pat. She looks to be my top character now!

I have Verizon FIOS (fiber optic) so I rarely have problems with a bad connection unless it's on the other persons end. Though I have to say, I really hate it when people decide to 'disconnect' in the middle or at the end of a match when they're losing. I overlooked it the first time it happened but after the fifth time it gets very frustrating sleep.gif

Ahh I've been torn between playing SFIV and RE5. Curse Capcom for releasing two awesome games this year!

Also does anyone know how to do a focus attack without reassigning it to one button? I can't remember how to do it with multi buttons.

Typical, I am at 2 bars or so, guys, but I've fought some points with 0 and even those with 5. But I guess it also is the connection I use for my XBOX 360, which is different from my computer. XD

Derock, some awesome moves with Chun-Li there. Smiter, good try, but I expect you get better with Cammy. But you pulled off some nice combos there.

Good job everyone. biggrin.gif

Cammy does take a lot of timing, Smiter, though with her speed, she can do a lot of amazing things when she gets rolling. But then again, there is the fact that with the right tactics and some luck, any character can win in this game. I've seen that happen for me so many times where I feel like I am gonna lose yet I turn the tide and end up wininng. smile.gif

As explained by many experts, Cammy is a quick and rushdown character, though I don't know what is her place in the tiers (the tier lists is only for the Arcade version in Japan, console version isn't out yet).

Now I'm torn about which character I may use for the tournament since I have some Chun-Li tactics. But I may stick to Cammy because of her quick and deadly moves.

I don't remember the exact location but both Cammy and Chun Li are in the low tiers. I'll try to find one with all the console characters.

Ok after doing a bit of searching I found this list from a Gamespot Forums.

This is the offical rating for all characters in the game. The list represents the characters highest level of play, when compared to other characters. Keep in mind that this list should only pertains to top level players(us), and not casual players(grandma).

(Highest) S A B C D F (Lowest)

S - Sagat

A - Zangief

A - Ryu

A - Fei Long

A - Balrog

A - M. Bison

A - Blanka

B - Rufus

B - Akuma

B - Seth

B - Chun-Li

B - Gouken

B - Rose

B - Ken

B - Sakura

C - El Fuerte

C - Gen

C - Abel

C - Dhalsim

C - Guile

C - C. Viper

D - Cammy

D - E. Honda

D - Vega

F - Dan

This particular tier list came from my Street Fighter IV official strategy guide.

I'm gonna look for another list, although this was posted in Feb. I've seen a different list before with some different name in spots. I'll keep you guys posted.

I figured Sagat is very high because of the dreadful "Knee" kick he has. But I'm shocked to see Ken, Akuma and Gouken in the mid-tiers. C. Viper, back in the original Arcade tier list was in the top, now she has sank to the bottom... mellow.gif

Damn, Fei-Long is in the top as well...

Fei Long a lot of people have been arguing over. And I can kind of agree with it. Also a lot of Cammy players disagree with where she's placed also. Honestly I don't see how Fei Long is ranked higher. They're both punishment type character with no away game. Sagat i can understand, i saw a tournament video that had Sagat vs Chun Li. Granted these guys were higher skill level then probably everyone here, but I almost felt bad for Chun Li. The Sagat player hammered her with a barrage or Tiger fireballs. Even though Chun Li has her own fireball, the quarter circle forward motion is a lot easier to do than the charge back.

Me, personally, I'm not going to go by this list. It's nice to know as background information. But the majority of people online are not these type of players. I can't tell you how many Sagat players I've beaten with Cammy, who's in an inferior tier. So honestly guys, if the person you like using isn't in a high tier, I wouldn't sweat it. If you like that person keep playing by all means. Because this list has changed already in the last few months no telling, in a year from now if it might be changed again.

Especially if Championship Edition comes out.

I'm not into the tier lists either. As much as I'm a hardcore fan of the series, tier list are for players who just want to stick to the powerful characters to whoop major ass on other hardcore/expert players and noobs. And this doesn't involve with Street Fighter but also every other fighting series, hell even Puzzle Fighter (which was NOT a fighting game) has a tier list back in the day when it was released.

I have to ask what are others success rates on pulling off a hadoken/fireball? I usually have a 50% rate since it either half the time it works or half the time I end up doing an uppercut. Is there a set way of pulling off with a 100% guarantee? The only shoto character I use is Akuma, but I stick to his Hyakkishu variants, but to fully use him I have to be able to pull of his Hadkoen/Goshoryuken since they're really helpful and essential in using him to his full potential.

I use a 360 D-pad which I'm pretty used to, but when it comes to shoto's it hard to pull off.
