It is best no to say, "Since Naruto is the main character he should get what he wants!" Because people counter it with saying, "Sakura is not a trophy...Think about what she wants!"....

Funny...because the same people who say that are mega SasukexSakura fans who only focus on Sakura's wants but not Sasuke's wants.....

Sasuke does not seem interested in Sakura so it is okay for Sasuke (a boy) to become a trophy? Hypocrisy!...The guy's side matters too!

I think it can happen. We haven't actually had it said that she has given up on Sasuke. In fact, Kishimoto hasn't really revealed much about where team 7's affections and feelings lay at the moment. >> His vagueness is really quite annoying really. LOL.

We all knew about Sakura's feelings for Sasuke, and I think they actually became pretty serious for awhile. But Sasuke's feelings were always left open. Many of us feel he was only driven by his hate for his brother, which he was, but that doesn't mean hes completely heartless. Theres no reason Sasuke couldn't feel something towards Sakura, and once again Kishimoto definetly left Sasuke's feelings vague and up for interpretation. I mean, when he knocked her out, he didnt leave her on the ground, he picked her up and moved her to a bench. If Sasuke was heartless and just trying to get away, he prolly would have left her on the ground. LOL. My logic. XD

I mean heck he actually used to listen to Sakura. He doesn't really give a crap about Karin. Or any other girl really. Sakura actually meant SOMETHING. No matter what that something was. He even thanked her before he disappeared. WHY? And trust me, I don't think Sakura has really forgotten that either. >>

Honestly, I think it can happen. Not saying it will, but I think it has potential. Even if they end up somehow in the future like Azuma and Kurenai. "an implied romantic relationship where they are ALWAYS teamed up together" (and no I don't mean Sasuke ends up dead like Azuma.. >>)

Sakura is the only one whose introduction has the possibility of changing in all categories. Even Naruto's feelings for Sakura have been tempered due to many factors including constant rejection. Therefore, I would also say due to Sasuke's constant rejections, her feelings are not as strong as before. I can't discount it's all gone, but I think I'm safe to assume they are not as strong in part 2 as in part 1.

Hinata's feelings have remained the same but Naruto hasn't do anything negative or positive to change them (i.e. turning down every date offer, calling her annoying, or trying to kill fellow Konoha ninja).

I think its obvious Sasuke doesnt care for her romantically, he hasnt done anything to hint to that in part 2 with his interaction. I also think Naruto's feelings for Sakura are still there, many hints for that. However for Sakura, i dont think there has been much at all to hint at what she might be feeling.

As for Asuma/Kurenai, it wasnt just implied, it is canon, Kurenai has his child, i think thats just about as canon it can get lol.

And Sakura did go 'goo-goo-ga-ga' at Konohamaru's Double Boy knockout jutsu or sth like that, showing that she does still have the hots for Sasuke.

I think its obvious Sasuke doesnt care for her romantically, he hasnt done anything to hint to that in part 2 with his interaction. Yes but the fans are still rooting and hoping that Kishi will return things back to their favor (however at this point of time its very unlikely) but you cant blame for trying.

I disagree with your statement completely. Kishi does indeed know where he's going with Sakura, he's not exactly pairing her off with every available male like you're implying.

Despite your claim that you know the suffix "kun" does not mean love, I don't think you actually understand completely since a good part of your argument centres around Sakura's usage of it. Let me tell you up front that "kun" is a suffix with a certain amount of formality to it. Close friends simply forego the suffixes altogether and call each other simply by their names. Therefore, Sakura attaching the "kun" suffix onto Gaara's name is simply showing that she respects him as a person and what he has gone through. No more, no less. It's pointless to read too much into a friendly gesture like this.

And Sakura has always attached the "kun" suffix onto Sasuke's name, so why on Earth would you mention it? Like I said before, a suffix does not imply closeness, but rather holds a degree of formality. In all likelihood, Sakura will never remove that "kun" suffix she attaches to Sasuke's name, just like Naruto won't stop calling her "Sakura-chan". It's a habitual thing, and using this is proof that she still holds feelings for Sasuke is not valid.

And to be honest, assuming that Sakura thinks Sai is more attractive than Naruto with his attitude is rather presumptuous of you. Let's review her interaction with Sai thus far, shall we?

1. Sai calling her old hag, and getting decked
2. Sai insulting Sasuke, and getting decked
3. Sai questioning Naruto's abilities and bond with Sasuke, before she defend Naruto and tells Sai he doesn't understand.

I don't know about you, but none of the above seems to me like proof that Sakura holds anything more than physical attraction towards Sai. She acknowledges that he is similar to Sasuke, but that's the extent of it.

Ino said that Sai was good-looking, and Sakura immediately tried to dissuade her from hitting on him. How does that show that she considers Sai to be better looking than Naruto? Seriously, just think about it.

And if all kunoichi followed your way of thinking...well...we might as well call the manga Sasuke/Gaara/Sai now shall we? The main point of having Naruto as a main character is to show how his hard work allows him to grow strong and protect those precious to him. If Sakura was shallow enough to love only "the strong and silent or good looking and elite types", she would not be a character that possesses much depth, would she?

Sasuke is currently 100% focussed on killing Itachi. No question about his feelings there.

Sakura has shown concern towards Sasuke, but nothing more than platonic concern. She wishes to save him from Orochimaru and the dark path he has taken, nothing more, nothing less. I agree that she might still hold feelings for him, but the thing is she has shown little to no hints of caring for him as more than a close friend. In fact, she seems to be doing it not only for herself but for Naruto as well, as can be seen from the KN4 scene. Therefore, I'm leaning towards Sakura caring for Sasuke as a good friend and nothing more for the moment, until I see something concrete to change my views.

Others rebutted most of this, but where does Sasuke treat Karin worse than Sakura in a said situation? Where does it say he doesn't give a crap about her or any Hebi?

I'm not saying SasuKar will happen. I just haven't seen anything that shows him treating Karin differenetly than Sakura.

Actually that scene was MUCH more of a NaruSaku scene. It showed how similiar they are and how much they actually connect on a sexual level (both are perverts).

As far as attractiveness, so what? Attractiveness isn't the only deciding factor in who you love.
