My biggest peave is people who have this incridable story and you get to the climax, then it hasn't been finished and the last chapter was posted over a year ago, it drives me crazy when a great story is just forgotten.

- YAOI and everything that follows -- its just wrong. well, and i am a guy and dont like to read it.
- "emo-less" naruto -- i dont like when naruto doesnt show any feelings and acts like sasuke
- increativity (is that a real word
) -- here i complain about stories which are more like renarration than fictions. i really cant stand reading fics about how naruto learnt kage bunshin, the wave country arc, chuunin exam aso.
- too much action -- well, i like more drama, tragedy and romantic when i am reading fics. thats just my taste
ok, those are the main points i dont like. maybe i will find another points

Then there's some fics that are too repeditive. Either it's the idea(Who came up with High school fics anyways?), their words, or sentence structure(Capitalizing a whole word in each sentence). And just no plot. I just hate that. There are probably some more but I haven't been that annoyed about any fics I've read recently...

Kirby: The Greatest.Ninja.Ever.EVEEERRRR!!!!!

Actualy, in certain hypothetical algebraic situations, 2+3 equals 1.

Character butchering.
Basically, anything written by One-Shot Wong. Reason?
Go here, look at links Kraken posted.
Most of my other fanfiction hates can be found on DarkWindKaze's Do Not Do List.

EDIT: I removed a sentence born of inattentiveness, hopefully no one saw me ask that question.
I agree with DarkWindKaze on the summaries. If there are significant errors, I skip it. My experience has been that such summaries are a pretty good guage for the quality of grammar within. In addition, I also don't like when authors claim they suck at summaries or say things like "don't like, don't read" because its often used as attempted guard for criticism.

about one fics, have you ever read...garden of the sanctuary?(actually a great exception for a one shot and a legend among naruto fanfics; as stupid as it sounds, we should find that nes mikel dude and get him to join here)

There's just not much to say, I guess.

But the one thing that bugs me the most, how often times the relationship is rushed. Another is I've seen a total of 123 pages for Sasuke and Sakura on fanfiction.net. That just bugs me. I'm not bashing, as I try not to do that, but come on.
Sasuke’s only reasons for even breathing are his revenge factor and getting his clan back in order. Considering he could be Orochimaru's new container, I highly doubt any promises made by the S-Class criminal will be kept. Honestly do you think Orochimaru will even think of spreading the power of the Sharingan around? About the only reason I could see him doing that would be to have a new body when he wears out Avenger boy's.
On to the subject again, as that brought up some disturbing thoughts, I'm not sure why they see this as a compatible couple. Course that’s the joy of fanfics.
Another thing that bugs me is for some reason most the fanfics come from Naruto cheering up Sakura about Sasuke. It’s like our favorite blonde is playing second fiddle. I think the best fic I’ve read, were the characters did seem close to their counter parts was this one. Broken Wings http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3041234/1/. I do agree to, garden of the sanctuary was very good, and oh so sad!!!
Agree, disagree, or was that pretty much summed up in the 9 pages before me

The "Nice" me will politely comment on spelling mistakes or errors in their way of thinking and writing the fic, like if they missed a few episides and something happened in it that would have probably changed the outlook of their fic, unless specifically stated in OOC in the beginning or end that it was meant to be that.
The "Nasty" me is just plain strict with /everything/ and will criticise everything with a sharp tongue which I aquired from my best friend.
In terms of "Pet Peeves", I don't have a lot for fanfics, mostly for rpg. But here they are:
Spelling: Spelling errors are general, but if they constantly and repeatedly have errors like "teh" or if they repeatedly spell a word incorrectly, that annoys me. Modern technology such as spell check is there for a reason. Useing it would be wise.
Narration Errors: Honestly, I have no problem with OOC, but when you use OOC in your fanfic, whether as part of the story, or cutting in the middle of it is annoying and unprofessional. You don't see authors of their stories narrating their books while in the middle of a sentance or paragraph. Such an example: "She looked up at the boy; well, we couldn't really say he was a boy anymore." That just ruins the mood of the story, which is supposed to give you a visualisation of what things are happening. If you wanted to say something similar, there are other ways to put it that wouldn't destroy the story, and wouldn't give it a "Story-Teller" feel. After all, stories are meant to be like doorways into other worlds.
Punctuation: I do admit to my flaw. I have a tendancy to be annoyed and correct people on spelling and punctuation errors, for punctuation errors annoy me to no end. I even correct my own mother and/or teachers if I detect a sort of error. Yes, English is my favorite subject, and yes, I get high marks in it. I find good stories and plots are ruined if the punctuation is bad. I have a rpg friend who I do rps with every day and he uses almost no form of punctuation, but he is the only acception, since I have tried for months on end without success to get him to use punctuation. It still annoys me very much, though.
Bad Writers: I once had the misfortune of reading a Digimon Takeru/Hikari, Sora/Taichi, Mimi/Yamato (all favorite pairings of mine) fic that was supposed to be romance, and nothing else. The author made everyone die a horrible bloody death from being killed by the enamy or dieing from getting revenge on the death of their lovers. I mean, come on. No one wants to read multi-murder tragic romance unless if they swing that way or have something wrong with them. No offense to who likes that, but at least a warning would have been nice. I looked at the review the person had gotten, and I realised I wasn't the only one who flamed the "unmentionable name"
N00bs: Yes, I know that people are learning, but it still annoys me of how bad someone can be at writing. Not even I as a ten-year-old was that bad of a writer. Yes, I know that no one can be as good as me, but it shocks me to no end how someone could be that bad. Either that, or they are just disrespectful of the show, and the website, and everyone who tries to be decent. The least they could do when they get better is rewrite the chapters to make them better. Wouldn't you agree? I myself believe that would be fair.
I would have to agree with DesDeke when the relationships are rushed. Its annoying and another of my pet-peeves. I won't get into detail, though, since you guys are probably tired of reading my little rants XD

1. A NaruSaku story (or really any story really) in which Sakura is a whore. I've read about two fanfics; a one-shot, and one that will be an actual story that implies or directly shows that Sakura has slept with many guys before finding out she actually loves Naruto. At the same time the author states that Sakura cares very deeply for Naruto and would do anything for him at anytime, but won't understand that she actually loves him.
2. Diverging stories in which Naruto gains strength way too fast. Like him going from a genin that barely beat Kiba in the preliminaries to gaining enough strength to wipe the floor with Orochimaru in the sound/sand war that follows....yeah.
3. Authors that make Kakashi seem like he's playing favorites with Sasuke and ignoring Naruto completely. The only time Kakashi played favorites was in the one month break of the chunnin selectiong examination, and he had a pretty good reason for it as well. Without the Chidori, Sasuke would have been able to do nothing against Gaara's sand defense. The only fic I like that shows Kakashi like this is FoxHound by Kraken's Ghost; though it's probably because of what Naruto says to Kakashi in chapter nine

4. Authors making Sakura hate Naruto after failing to retrieve Sasuke without giving any reason why...except that he failed to get Sasuke back. If you want Sakura to hate Naruto, at least give some reason for it, and not the obvious one either. Though I'm pretty sure that she'll feel bad for what she said to him later on in the fic

5. Fics that have Sasuke being welcomed back to Konoha like he's never done anything wrong and is giving mild punishment for joining the man that killed the Sandaime; then later is giving the commander position to the ANBU and has a relationship with Sakura....
6. A serious and potentially good story that is a Sasu/Saku with absolutely no reason why they are together. The Golden Fox by Nyce456 comes to mind for me. He does what is listed in my number four up there and a number five in there. Sakura does feel guilty for what she did to Naruto, but she doesn't even try to apologize to him. It's sad really; I could have seen that story turn into a Naru/Saku action/adventure/romance drama, but he took the story a different way. In a sense the Sasu/Saku is required for his story to work, but it still doesn't seem to work out. It's a good read anyway.
7. The council gaining more power over the Hokage. I hate fics that are like this, even Nes Mikels 'Garden of Sanctuary' and 'Medusa Javelin.' However, those two fics are damn good and I don't mind overlooking the sudden power the council has gained over the Hokage, his fics are probably the first fics I love and hate at the same time....bastard

8. Sasuke calling Naruto dobe....all the time.
End.

I've seen a fic where a person used what were painfully obvious various on the Rookie-Nine names. They just changed a letter or two.

Are the birds some kind of Communist secret weapon?
No Jordan.
Are the birds under some kind of mind control by Big Bird from sesame street? Will Big Bird turn out to be the murderer? Will that girl turn around and big bird is behind her and she gets stabbed in the face?
No Jordan.
Is this the chickens revenge on Colonel Sanders?
Yes Jordan, this is a movie about an all bird terrorist group, led by big bird, funded by Communists on a mission to kill Colonel Sanders.
Really?
No Jordan.

I swear I don't know why people think that's a plausible idea. We have characters named Naruto, Itachi, Orochimaru and yet people make OC named Bob. Or Terry. And think there is nothing wrong with that. My god, the insanity!
