Does the anime followed it's own continuation or they follow the manga?

I think it's not as cutesy as in the first manga. A blend between ccs and tsubasa rc.

They are following the Manga, but I believe they are into a project to do an Anime who knows.

Yeah the amime might follow the conclusion of the manga, but no details yet so we'll see. I specifically was wondering if Touya was in his "first or Last Year" of High school. If he was in his first year at the start for the manga it makes more sense. if last then it is strange unless University or college was mistranslated as high school or along those lines. BTW there was a recent page mistake. Page 6 is from Platinum end.

Hahahahaha... You should have seen me fangirling when I was reading this chapter.

Some things to criticize: Yes, the drawing style has been updated, but they should have kept Sakura's and Shaoran's character designs from the original manga ending. Now it looks like they haven't age at all... Beautiful drawing style though. Touya must be in his first year of college. Prob a mistranslation. Apparently, CLAMP felt like changing the timeline and now everyone has smartphones, lol. And why is Shaoran keeping the teddy bear all the time XD? Shaoran just comes back, but we already see him with a worried face.

 

Rating: 100/10 cause I'm a blind fangirl. More SakuraxShaoran moments pls. And if possible... I want to see little to no Tsubasa Reservoir Chrossovers- but I know it'll happen.

Yeah I prefer Sakura and Syaoran's designs at the end of the manga too. They both look much more mature and attractive!

They are what? 12? 13? Quite a lot of time has passed, so I wished Clamp would have stayed true to the original character designs. But hey, Sakura was so kawaiiiiii, I'll forgive them.

Well not weird but I'd describe it as they look the same, but "taller". I like the longer, narrower faces they had at the end of the manga more myself

 

For me I have to get use to the manga I liked more the anime.

 

Oh that's perfectly fine, the Anime is afterall expanding on the manga and some events were switched around chronologically. I just prefer the manga "ending" compared to the anime

The character designs in itself were adorable (seriously, Sakura is the queen of kawainess), but the transition b/c the drawing styles was just jawring. But lol, I'll forgive clamp.

I love the manga ending. One of my favorite endings ever. You just feel so complete when you read those last few pages in the manga, lol.

I was able to read the first chapter a few days ago at otakumole.. My mind could not really register the fact that I am seeing CardCaptor Sakura on the updates page.. Its like my childhood flashing back wherein I repeatedly watch all the episodes and memorized the lines lol.

 

Haven't read the entire original manga tho.. I only own a volume of it back then, it was so difficult to get a copy of the manga and it never occurred to me to read it online simply because i don't use the internet much during those times lol except for the hundreds of fanfics i read back then. Actually back then, i am not aware that most anime were adapted from a manga and that some details are different in the two platforms. In short when i bought those, i only thought its your regular additional franchise for a show you really love, like they made a "comic" version of the anime itself...ahhhhh my ignorance back then

 

Although I have to admit I was scratching my head mentally when i saw Syaoran holding the teddy bear for the most part. I think i need to read the entire original manga to refresh my feelings for it. It was sweet and cheesy   but i know something is up..

 

just wondering if the second movie (hope card) will be taken as canon..?

You will probably have to read the manga though to understand the new chapter. The anime diverged from the manga quite a lot towards the end.

I'm assuming the reason why Shaoran was holding onto the teddybear was because his mom or him placed some sort of magic seal on it to protect Sakura. That's why he wanted her to have it. That way he doesn't have to raise any suspicion and worry Sakura.
