Honestly, the tag line for USA election should be the same as Aliens vs. Predators movie. Look it up if you don't know.

That's how lots of people feel.  Why do you think the Meteor polled at 13% in that PPP pole.

There is even a twitter account: https://twitter.com/smod2016?lang=en

Though I think SMOD of death has been around since sometime between 08 and 12. Account has been around since 2014 but its been a running thing for sometime. Ace of Spades has periodically mentioned it for years.

World War they said. Yeah, I'm close to that agreement.

Well, if it truly happen, I hope it only happen in northern hemisphere country rather than the whole world.

But that's like saying World War 2 shouldn't be called that because not all countries got involved and I mean every single one bit. No need to be literal, just know that more than 4 nations will be involved.

Well, with NATO moving troops close to the russian border and Russia itself feeling threatened (despite western media trying to make it look the other way around) I would say an world war wouldn't be that outlandish of an idea...

@touken
There's a chance that the next war will involve most country Eventhought realistically only the northern hemisphere countries that has the capability to do big war.

@alexander
I think the situation would be like in Cold War. Just a barking but no act.
There's a tension with China in East Sea.

A lot of warmongers I've been seeing calling for war are ones who have no intention of themselves or their families actually fighting in it but will gladly send anyone else to fight and die in it.

So, the Turkish military has staged a coup....

Obviously, it's unhappy with Erdogan (as it just overthrew him), but outside of that much isn't known.

A lot of warmongers I've been seeing calling for war are ones who have no intention of themselves or their families actually fighting in it but will gladly send anyone else to fight and die in it.

Oh please.

1. You must be 18 to join the military. 18 year olds are legal adults and thus the decision to join the military is their's. I'm guessing you think those people ought to be permitted to offer their kids regardless of their consent or age for that matter or are you just assuming they would forcibly hold their kids back if the kids wanted to join?

2. I'm guessing when determining whether to engage in intervention we should just poll the military? Majority vote wins? Why should those liberals who are not themselves involved get to have a say anymore than anyone else? If you aren't military why should I give one rip about your opinion? You have no skin in the game either. Maybe we should just ditch this whole civilian control over the military things. If they want to go on a foreign adventure who are we to stop them? Or since you want them out of harms way you must care more and thus have a say so?

Seriously, this opinion boils down to "because you don't have direct skin in the game, your opinion doesn't matter." Taken to its logical conclusion the only people who should have a say is the military itself and family members of those in the military. Though given only adults can join, I don't know why I should care what the families think.

If some people want a war and actually sign up to serve go fight in that war, that's their choice. They're at least putting their money where their mouth is and are actually trying to directly do something they believe in. I'm talking about people who want a war, but if such a war broke out, will not back up any of their big, tough guy talk; people like Trump, Nugent, O'Reilly, Hannity, Cotton, and other such hypocritical warmongers who have no intention of actually trying to fight in that very war they themselves want but would gladly see "others" fight and die for, then using the corpses of those who fought and died as platforms to boost themselves up to hype the next war they're hoping for. I'm not going to bother with the clearly unfair characterization of their motives.

As I said, your all but arguing that we should remove Civilian control over the military and leave foreign intervention decisions entirely in the hands of the military. Under your formulation you have no more right to an opinion on the matter than those you criticize. If the army wants boots on the ground to fight ISIS or any other engagement you'd have no right to complain about the effort no matter how immoral you may think it. If the military was in favor the 2003 Iraq invasion, should anti-war protectors shut up? Under your formulation they should. If they were willing to die for the mission what right did Code Pink have to tell them otherwise?

I find this argument terrible because rather than actually debate the merits of that course of action you engage in an ad hominem and bypass whether the act is appropriate or not. Even if they are hypocrites, so what? They're personal character in a non-responsive answer as to the merits of the policy.

Also, before you continue shooting off your own foot: Tom Cotton went to both Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the army prior to becoming a US Senator. https://en.wikipedia...wiki/Tom_Cotton

He has put his money where his mouth is.

kittening disgraceful. Just like the police in Rotterdam and the German government covering up the New Year's rapes, the entire French government deserves the guillotine for this:

All seriousness aside, let's clap for our potential new first lady; https://www.theguard...-michelle-obama

Forger politics for a sec and think, Michelle Obama has been a great first lady. Her speeches are on-point, she speaks on important issues, is a harvard law graduate, skipped 2nd grade in school because she was so smart, and met Barack as his political advisor. And, her closet is 10+ points. So much more than a president's wife, hell she could've been president herself ~ and I think people from all sides of politics should be able to admire that.

Yeah, she reminds of our current vice president who watched his 1988 presidential campaign disintegrate when he got caught doing the same thing (and doing it while he was in law school). The only reason he's not the nominee now is because he didn't run. Wouldn't that have been fun.

Barack Obama is thought to have done something similar to Deval Patrick back in 2008.

So yeah, I can't say I really give a kitten that a person not running for office took a page from Joe Biden's play book.

And as much as I believe cheap toilet paper to be worth more than the pages of the guardian, I'll go ahead and cite them so people can't claim conservative cite and walk....

Lol. That lame excuse of a first lady admirable? Please. She's hated more than Obama is XD

And before it becomes a discussion that Melania Trump stole Michel's speech, I'm just going to say this:

The accusation is that Melania Trump “plagiarized” a speech made by Michelle Obama in 2008. Well I’m sorry liberals, she did not.

Here are the comments from Michelle Obama in 2008:

And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.

And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

Melania Trump's Speech

From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond, that you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to or son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

Did Melania use a few sentences that were similar to Michelle Obama’s speech? Sure, but that is common. ALL First Lady speeches resonate the same universal concepts.

The fact is, you can go back and look at Laura Bush’s speech, Nancy Reagan, and even Hillary when she was first lady and find the same type of comments.

In a speech Hillary Clinton gave in 2014 for the New American foundation. Hillary spoke of the same values saying,

” my mother and father gave us a middle-class life with opportunities she never could have imagined for herself but which she always believed could be possible for her children. And that was a great gift that I will be forever grateful for, and then Bill and I of course worked hard to pass on those values to our daughter.”

(In other words, passing on values to the next generation, like Michelle Obama said in 2008.)

Laura Bush said in her 2004 RNC speech,

“If you’re determined and you want to work hard, you can do anything you want to. That’s the beautiful thing about America.”

(The same concept of Michelle Obama’s speech in 2008.)

Even Ann Romney’s speech hit the same notes in 2012

“Mitt will be the first to tell you that he is the most fortunate man in the world. He had two loving parents who gave him strong values and taught him the value of work.”

Hillary is actually the biggest offender when it comes to plagiarism, she plagiarized Bernie Sanders so often that the hashtag #StealTheBernwasborn.

Obama plagiarized Bush nearly word for word in 2014, but the liberal media didn’t seem to have a problem with that.

Every 4 years, a first lady, or potential first lady, stands on stage at their convention and talks about the same subjects: upbringing, values and family.

In fact, 90% of what we hear this week will probably be rehashed and resaid at the DNC. They’ll just spin it around to be all about race, class warfare, illegal immigrants and insulting police, of course.

Hey tbh I don't see why you blocked me in the first place if you're gonna continue be at odds with me like this. :headscratch:

What you're saying is that Mrs. Trump is not the only copycat out there. OK, I won't give everyone else a pass, but that doesn't make her any better either. So you're back at zero.  :ermm: However, except perhaps Hillary, many of the examples you gave weren't that accurate. Having the same values is not bad, directly copying someone's words like you've had the exact same upbringing is on another level.

I think we should just agree to disagree? I find it impossible to have a rational discussion with you. You're antagonistic, rude, and refuse to see things from other perspectives. I listed many reasons as to why regardless of politics, I like Michelle as a first lady, and you can only respond that she's a lame excuse and how people hate her. I can't stop you from picking a fight ofc, but I don't see the point.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

It's absolutely not. Any leader that places the safety of strangers over that of their own people deserve nothing less then the firing squad. Honestly, with the way things are going, I would rather see the far right completely take over europe. The european union needs to end and each country needs to remember what the word patriotism means. Multiculturalism failed in every possible way.
