I can understand why ending-Sakura gets a lot of hate, but one thing I see a lot from Sasuke fans is that they blame her for marrying Sasuke and making him unhappy. I know that the way she expresses her love for him is very guilt-tripping, but Sasuke never felt sorry for her, him falling into that trap is OOC. It seems that is what happened, but;
I am both pro-Sasuke and pro-Sakura, and those two fandoms don't often like both characters. I totally understand, but I am a bit tired of people blaming their marriage on their characters ~ as if they are real people with minds of their own, and not pen and paper puppets controlled by the creator, who is again controlled by the companies he works for, because said companies want to extend the series with 'popular' ships/characters until it's completely dried out. It would've been alright if SS's tragic marriage made sense for how their characters were written, but since retcon=blame lies from an outside source and not within the Naruto universe.
But let's say the blame is on Sakura, a lot of people with these ^opinions excuse Sasuke from being away from his family because he is not happy with them, as if Sakura literally forced him into it. I want Sasuke to be happy, but since he did agree to marry/have a child with her, he is responsible for the results whether he gave into pressure or not.
I understand the 'blaming the author' argument can often be an excuse, but fans often pick and choose where to blame the author and where to blame the characters, and I think that is more unfair than trying to see it from a bigger perspective, instead of targeting one character for ruining everything. It is inaccurate to say this ending catered to characters like Hinata, Sakura, or Sasuke. If so, they would've been in character and not OOC, accomplished their goals and they would've been happy. How could you say this ending catered to Hinata when she got married to a piece of kitten? This ending only catered to fandoms.
