I'm sure my perspective is very much shaped by the fact that I'm not done yet. But I do get a bit of the self-insert vibe I get with SS. I'll reserve further comment til I finish the series, but I suppose it was on my mind and I was curious about the appeal.

What do you think of him so far? Do you think he is well-written complex villain?

But yeah, my answer is a little bias b/c I've finished this series a while ago (years). What made you watch the series now? And do you plan on watching Korra afterwards?

What do you think of him so far? Do you think he is well-written complex villain?

But yeah, my answer is a little bias b/c I've finished this series a while ago (years). What made you watch the series now? And do you plan on watching Korra afterwards?

 

All the talk about the Korra ending (which I do plan on watching if I can find somewhere to stream it) inspired me to go back and watch ATLA.

 

I wasn't really fan of Zuko (in general or as a villain) until they started to explore more of his backstory with his sister and mother. As they've added background, I've come to appreciate what I originally saw as a more one-dimensional character.

All the talk about the Korra ending (which I do plan on watching if I can find somewhere to stream it) inspired me to go back and watch ATLA.

 

I wasn't really fan of Zuko (in general or as a villain) until they started to explore more of his backstory with his sister and mother. As they've added background, I've come to appreciate what I originally saw as a more one-dimensional character.

I personally deem ATLA better than Korra, but it is still great.

Yeah, the audience didn't get to see too much of Zuko in season 1, but that changes as the show goes on.

Can I also just add, with so much talk about how the women of Naruto are stomped on by Kishi, ATLA has some pretty kick ass women. Katara fights that patriarchy.

Can I also just add, with so much talk about how the women of Naruto are stomped on by Kishi, ATLA has some pretty kick ass women. Katara fights that patriarchy.

If I had a like, I'd give it to you. It was an a soule splendid fight. And one of the greatest villain is the sister of Zuko- btw, she's two years younger than Zuko and still more talented.

How's the music?


It was really good. They really put an effort on the music and also the animation too.

They mostly feature the works of Chopin, Saint Saens, Beethoven, Debussy, Tchaikovsky.
and even Joe Hisaishi
